Came to this video after remembering the article of Nigel the lonely gannet. I thought after reading that article, that Nigel was the last gannet in the world. So I went on google and searched up "How many gannets are left in the world" and there was no conclusive answer. So I then went on UA-cam and saw this, which makes me very very happy that there are so many of them.

Surely you are a very patient man: you sat out this shiny weather. :) Your video reminded me the day when we visited this rock - less rain, more rain - rain always. But gannets forever.

Hello, I sadly found a young seabird dead on the beach near where I live, close to Dungeness in Kent and I have now identified it as a Gannet. Thank you for your video, I've enjoyed learning about these amazing birds. Great shots and very interesting info.

I found young Gannett today I live in a van in New Zealand .he was in the road by the beach . He can fly from the dunes to the waterline but I think he might still be fed by his parents. I fed him with sardines mashed in water thin enough to syringe it down his throat. He is falling asleep to the sound of Gannett noises from this vid . We will see how he goes tomorow

Amazing video but when you said bottlenose dolphins you showed a pod of common dolphins. Great job though and you got a like from me.

The Music Alone just made me almost fall out ! I love it. Omg !!! That beginning of the song was one of the most beautiful sounds ever ... the other lyrics that come in ehh not so much .. but just the tribal sound in the beginning is beautiful ! I don’t care for part of the vocals .. doesn’t sound like I remember it sounding. Is someone different trying to do it or is that original vocalist ? I just do not like the voice on this .. only the whining. But I love these videos so much!!! Please keep making more narrated videos ! So Lovely and I enjoy so much. Thank u

Interesting article (below) about the origins of the song Return to Innocence here. I was looking for a video to link to my song about gannets and terns. But I follow indigenous politics and the question of recognition mattered to me, I was curious and did a little searching trying to answer that question of whether I should link to a video with it in. The title 'Return to Innocence' combined with the music it samples - as it turns out from the Amis, Taiwanese aboriginal folk music - is a bit of an offensive cliche even before adding in the complexity of the legal case that makes it all the more ironic. There is a destructive, willful misunderstanding of indigenous people and various global histories where this has been genocidally repeated and resold as propaganda which all this complicates the appeal; infantilising and confining to the past whilst also idolising within certain confines. And the lack of consideration given - it's not like street-based sampling of wealthier artists, it's an opposite dynamic. But they do legally benefit now. So I don't know.

Why do you keep the title up for so long? It spoils it all. You did the same with the Farnes. Bass Rock is the largest SINGLE ISLAND colony of gannets in the world. St. Kilda is the largest colony spread over several islands in the archipelago.
