If I were faced with this situation I would arm myself with letters from my doctor and I would go to the welfare and Dublin City council and I would break their hearts until they give me a house via HAP or council. The system is not working for people who genuinely need help with housing and health care and the only way to change it is to shame the government and make them address the situation. Wes you seem like a genuine chap ... I hope you get the help you need and deserve.. Its not easy when every door seems to shut in your face, and the loneliness of being isolated from family etc.. i admire your strength, that will help get you through the detox.. And it's true how come we can't look after our own yet support complete strangers, no nationals get Corporation housing , even though they work hdce cats etc, they are given extra money in supports to help them adjust to society ... Irish people wanna wake up

I'm poverty stricken myself and on the brink of homelessness😢 I'm 38 and brainstorming on how to make even 2k a month I worked for a multi million dollar company building house fulltime and was only being paid $700 a month and we did a lot of ten hour days and would hear of people doing the same work for 3 to 4k a month and felt so ashamed and stuck dealing with bosses that act like they are doing me a favor by paying me next to nothing and act like I'm crazy for wanting to be paid more, & all I ever think about is how billionaires and people with 100s of millions never allow the thought to cross their mind to personally go out and put a serious dent in the suffering of humans, like even when someone gets out of poverty like conor McGregor and becomes a major success they still completely forget about everyone else from where they grew up and walk around with 800k watches on like it never ever crosses their mind to go out and help some people here and there and realize they can do a lot of good and still be worth 100s of millions what's the point of becoming super rich then? Poor people will give you their last $5 but billionaires would be reluctant to relinquish a $20 bill if your life depended on it any charitable donation is a tax right off anyways or just PR stunt and if money donated to charities actually went to the people in need we wouldn't have this problem. I've heard of people donating like 40 billion to charities but that's the end of it I see no tangible evidence of it even being dispersed I find it hard to believe that 40 billion from one person doesn't go a long way it seems like the problem should be solved by now it that's truly the case but no somehow its worse than ever I truly believe conor McGregor could single handedly solve homelessness in Ireland and still be super rich forever I've lost all hope in this world I wish i was rich so I could help one person at a time it hurts knowing nobody is coming to my rescue
I hear you loud and clear pal. If those that have the wealth only knew how much suffering they could alieviate by caring for the most vunerable by contributing some of their wealth, the world would be a better place indeed. I hope your situtation gets better my friend
I'm facing homeless April next year work full-time I was wondering if there's help after I'm evicted for working people has I can not get a reply on daft or rent .ie its hard at the moment looking for help
