Hey! just wanted to say that I got the Mackie mic and i'm glad I did. the sound is really clear and it doesn't capture annoying background noise. i'm using it to record vocals for my demos. the only downside is that it doesn't come with a tripod or pop filter but it was worth it in the end. Thanks!
Im interested in the Mackie as well. Do you find yourself wishing you got something with headphone monitoring or a gain knob? Can you control gain with software? Sorry im looking for my first usb mic (or any mic for that matter) and I don't know what I want.
I use my tonor tc-777 for both talking and recording saxophone and I can verify it is absolutely incredible. Perfect for talking and turning down the volume to like 80% is perfect for sax, picks up dynamics ,articulation, and tone gorgeously, can't recommend it enough
I use the FiFine Mic, I got it with a bundle that came with the pop filter, the wind sock, and the arm along with the mic, mic stand, and 6ft usb chord all for $50 good ass deal
This video had all the information I was looking for - hearing simple non-EQed quality, an appraisal of what the different mics are best for, the perks and drawbacks of the options. Incredibly useful. Thank you!
I got a Snowball about 10 years ago and it was kind of fail. It worked ok in the beginning, but it was picking up noise from my soundcard internally, which was very noticeable on multitrack recordings. After a couple of months, the USB connection in the back of the mic developed issues and I started getting random crackling in all my recordings as well. Switching to an XLR condenser connected to the laptop via a Scarlett 2i4 fixed all issues. Obviously, USB mics are still useful for various applications, but I don't trust Blue anymore.
The Mackie sounded the best to me. My suggestion for next time is to include the microphone pick-up pattern - omnidirectional, cardioid etc. Thanks for the review.
This really helped me out as my headset mic is starting to give up on me and it just keeps cutting out and just not working happy I found this video and keep up the content

I would recommend mackie It's the best you won't feel the need to change mic for a long period of time unless it gets broken. From your comment i estimate that you are tight on budget but i would advise you that if possible increase your budget and go for mackie you will never be tensed regarding your vocal recordings.
Thank you, I'm researching for the right beginner microphone. I am hoping to start my UA-cam channel soon. Also, I like your "comfortable" background; you should do a video on a good set up for that as well. I appreciate you, young brother 👍
No, it isn’t. It seems clear at first glance but soon you realize the frequency response is very messed up with some black wholes in the mids/low mids. The Mackie sounds the best, I chose it before I saw he had chosen it as well.
And as another audio engineer…. It’s up to personal preference. You can make the cheapest piece of equipment sound amazing, it’s up to the person using it.
Please, show us how to connect these microphones correctly..I mean; 1)...so we can know if there's any special thing or item we need to buy in other to get the best out of them.. 2)..so we can know if we could possibly battle with any hiss sounds coming out if the microphone, and how to deal with it.. 3)..I'd also like you to use them to sing, and tell us the name of your DAW
Thanks this really helps me with my decision I was going to get this $250 mic but I’m sure one of these $50 mics will be very useful and a massive upgrade from my Xbox mic that I was previously making videos with on my other channel, I had to put so many filters over it in OBS to sound even close to any of these $50 ones so I’m excited that I can get a huge upgrade for a fraction of what I was going to spend.
