    Just got my first telescope. It’s an Orion XT6. Your company has been a wealth of information. I’ve gone from a complete amateur to understanding my optics completely. Thank you

    Hello there! Kindly asking the use of your experience and knowledge to save me some time. I recently just received my first telescope ever which traveled over continents and oceans, but I’ve got it and I’m not just excited but also very grateful about it! Its an :
    Orion SkyQuest XT8 Classic Dobsonian Reflector Telescope
    I also got with it the following:
    25mm eyepiece, eyepiece adapter, 2x Barlow Lens & The Orion 1.25 inch 13 percent Transmission Moon 🌘 Filter.
    Now, I just realized I need a protection “ bag “ or cover if I wanna take it out and about to some dark observing spots away from the light pollution, so there’s a very high chance to go ahead and place another order to Orion Telescopes for it.
    Now since I’m gonna order again - Here’s the Q :
    What would be the best and most useful eyepieces I could get to let’s say - expand or make it even more versatile on top of what I posted above which is recently acquired ?
    Looking to invest in no more than 2 extra eyepieces - one especially dedicated to planetary and solar system observations & one extra for deep space observations or should I better say : your suggestion!
    I thank you a lot for your time and awesome content your creating.
    God bless.

    Are you planning on adding this product to the european shop?

    Hi Ken! If Orion ever decides to update their StarMax 90 Mak-Cass Telescope & Planetary Kit, would you consider dropping the fixed Eyepieces, the Colored Filters, and the Barlow, and include this 7-21mm Zoom instead? It'd be a fun combo 🔭🌃🌒🪐

    Hello,
    I'd love to see some of your telescopes and products in use as a demonstration video. Using them at night to show the power some of these telescopes have compared to others you sell.

    Hello , I am interested in buying this eyepiece. I was looking for something like this and when I saw that you had it I knew right away that this is the product that I would want to buy, because I know that Orion only provides quality products. The only problem is that I am in Europe and it does not appear on your shop .Can you tell me if this product would be available in the European shop or if it is available already or it would be at a retailer that ships to Europe?
    Best regards,
    Michael.

      Hi, this product is unfortunately not currently available in our European warehouse. Our dealers are able to special order almost all of our products, so if you get in touch with a dealer near you they should be able to assist. Here is our dealer locator page: bit.ly/2VsbWyt

    We need different power eyepiece to view different objects in sky . If a object)star ⭐ is far away from us .. what eyepice I need to use.... I mean that there are several types of eyepice 6,9,10,15,20,28mm etc .. what is the work function for each eyepice for which objects?

      No matter the magnification, stars will always be twinkling dots in the sky. It can be useful for planetary observations though. What eyepiece you need depends on the focal length of your telescope e.g. 650 mm -> 650mm:20mm=38x magnification. Too clearly see Saturn's rings or Jupiter cloud bands you'll need at least 130x magnification so it completely depends on the focal length

    If I use it with 2x barrlow ,is there any change of it's field of view?

    • @oriontelescopes
      @oriontelescopes  4 роки тому +1

      The apparent field of view does not change when used with a Barlow, only the magnification is increased.

    This eyepiece looks very similar to the SvBony 7-21 zoom. I know they both come from China, so easily one could be cloned from the other, is there a noticeable difference between the two?

      My brother has the Orion one and I have two of the 7-21 Svbonys for my binoviewers, they seem utterly identical haha

      @@MikeLikesChannel Is the 7mm actually have a wider field of view than the 21mm? Did I hear Ken from the video correctly? I was actually looking at the Svbony too. I'd love to know if they make clones or if companies slap their logo on and charge a premium because of it.

    • @MikeLikesChannel
      @MikeLikesChannel 3 роки тому +1

      @@spamcan9208 to my eyes it’s a slight bit wider, but I’m far from an optics expert.

      @@MikeLikesChannel Thank you. I'm leaning towards the 7-21 and then maybe a longer focal length/ fov eyepiece for larger DSOs. Although my little 90mm won't be able to do too much. I just got it but I can see why people go out and buy Iowa class main gun sized scopes lol.
