I'm the oppisite, I think magic light is a terrible archetype and the holy-light templar theme fits better with light-empowered weapons, instead of Green Lantern (2011).
Last gen consoles don't have enough memory for new skill animations is what they said. So we can't get new skills with new animations, because of them. But since this new animation is a replacement, the old one is probably removed and not taking up memory, or something.

I like this one a lot better as I can rp it as encasing my staff in a sort of light-spear magic, effectively changing it from a useless bonk stick to an actual melee weapon.

It robbed me of 10k hours, total gaming from all games I have about 25k hours spent playing video games just in my 20s. I regret every second of it now at 27, I still watch the UA-cam sometimes just to remember the nightmare and keep me from playing. Been clean from gaming for 6 months now, and going strong

Lot of them hit cp160, farm beginners gear, then as soon as they are asked their dps and a parse, they feel attacked and stop playing.. The devs dont know where to go, they try to please everyone but hurt everyone instead
I kinda like how they updated the spears look, it looks cleaner and newer, just wish the animation itself wasnt complete dogshit, did they replay the new spear look in all the other templar animations or just jabs? Cuz that's sounds like a total zos thing the lazy bastards would def do
@@trevorcooper5488 Yeah, smaller channel time but only hits 3 times, hence the change in animation. It's overall damage is a lot lower now, as well as some other changes to the morphs I think.
So a few things, I like the new spear model looks nice. I don't like the new animation it feels so stulted and static. With the four hit jabs you could really see the templar put their weight into the last one. Not its just like... Poke poke poke...
i just wish they make it that you can pull your weapon out strait away when you get sneak attacked by an enemy instead of the half an hour that it is now . lol
Hey look, the ESO comments is as bad as Halo comments! No one can agree on anything! =P Edit - I actually like the new spear coz it looks a bit more like a spear... Rather than a non-descript light shaft that I can make in free VFX software in five minutes. =P The animation could do with a bit more power on the last thrust though. That's what the old animation has going for it, IMO.
The more I watch, the more I think this animation is growing on me. Nighthollow Staff and all. I still have some concerns over how it looks while weaving, but just spamming the ability? For me, it's an upgrade.
They should left jabs way it was and also just left Rapid strikes way it was in update 34 and to be honest devs make big mistake change both skills now they useless because they don't do enough damage anymore
I like the existing shard/spear of magic/light more than a literal staff/spear which is just coloured that way.

Thought ZoS said they couldn’t add new skills or change how skills look cause “the system is out dated”.

Speak for yourself. Sweeps finally being sub 1s is very welcome by many. All these years weaving it felt extremely awkward and unreliable due to it.

Templars totally gutted. A side from its just a lazy work (its not a spear, its nighthollow staff with "templar" filter on it) it feels very clunky.
