You inspired me to make my first shirt this year Kim, and now they are my favourite garment to make. I just love that you can sew up each small piece (like collars, cuffs etc) when you only have limited time, and then fit everything together (hopefully) at the end. I now find shirts really mindful and calming to make. Who knew? 😜 Thank you Kim. 😘 Of course all your shirts are gorgeous.Would love if you could do a video on how you pattern match on a shirt (with the placket etc); that part always ties me up into a pretzel😆. Your pattern matching on the leopard shirt is amazing!
@@van_vinos66 that's wonderful to hear that you're making lovely shirts of your own. Sherwood's brick and mortar shop is permanently closed, but their online store is still open... Phew!! I will do a video on pattern matching, but just need to practice a bit more. You've made my evening ❤️
As a shirt lover, I can relate to your perspective on shirts. They are my favorite garment to make and serve as a great palate cleanser. Lovely shirts.
I usually stay away from prints. You’re inspiring me to give patterns a try. You are very relaxing to listen to. Looking forward to seeing what you show us in the next video. Thank you.
Love your blouses even though you used the same pattern on a couple the fabric looks so lovely on each you Don't think that they are the same The bed of roses blouse is my favorite one I would love to see it made also in a plain color or white so that the ruffles stand out and accent the yoke more But it is lovely I am going to give the B5526 a try You have inspired me I love that you sew the big four patterns not all indies My fabric store sells big four patterns Happy sewing 👗 🧵🪡✂️❤️
@@joannebanks2147 thanks Joanne. I grew up with the big 4 and I love them. Definitely give B5526 a go. I'm envious that you have a local store. I was hoping my channel would inspire, so glad it's doing that. Enjoy ❤️
Your shirts are lovely. I always use indie patterns, but you have so inspired me with your beautiful fabrics. I also love using linen to make sure it’s.
I really like no 5 on you. The princess seams are very flattering and the sleeve length also a nice change. If them being undone is annoying you could take off the cuffs and make larger ones. Or use a cuff link type tab you could attach.
@@vickimaiorano5763 thanks Vicki. I think it's because this shirt is so different from what I normally make. I just need to get used to it. I'm sure it will be lovely in the summer when shorter sleeves will be welcome. ❤️
All of them are beautiful. I love the fabric choices. My favorite is #3 the animal print pink and blue! The quarter length is my 2 nd favorite as those are my favorite types of sleeves. Also I now know the difference between shirts and blouses. Never really thought about it. You do great work. Thanks
