A huge amount of pollution in India and China are the result of billionaires in Europe and the U.S. and those that own stocks. Think about it. The west just offshored pollution. Then they make things more expensive in the U.S. further ensuring jobs don’t come back. Look at Germany literally closing down and manufacturing leaving Europe. The U.S. shutdown the nordstream pipeline and drove energy cost up or prevented Germany from increasing imports in the future.

We have to be realistic and have to compromise. I can only see the viable option is huge nuclear powerplant + renewable energy infrastructure to support massive amount of carbon capture facilities. I don't see any other options. I also know carbon capture is very expensive and limited. But it is much much more realistic and practical than being naive and praying and crying and yelling to people to live less comfort and less convenient, or expecting entire humanity suddenly become changed to escape from short sighted mind and altruistic.
