man. I KNEW there was producers out there that are obsessed with efficiency as much as I am. i am a keyboard maestro supporter and it sucks bc their forum doesn't have much musicians or editors. thank you for being a resource for us. please make a discord or something lol

I've been using this kind of macros but using Open Stage Control's MIDI shortcuts instead of the searchbox but it ended up having the same result: saving time! Producers, you may not see it like that but, Brian just offered you some free time with your family. Haha
What is also handy for ableton is that you can add ableton racks to a channel by simply opening the rack file on the finder level which saves a lot of time creating KM macro's for adding specific racks. 👍🏻 love this workflow. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for this fantastic video. I managed to have it work with cubase 13 pro. I am using the channel settings window for it. And adjusted next available slot a little. It now works perfectly!
very interesting! as a PC user I managed to create something similar in Reaper, but now that you've shown it in Cubase, I think it could be done via wox or powertoys in combination with AHK. That was excellent, thanx. I am interested in automating audio export in Ableton. In other words, I have a group of .als files, and I want to export audio from all of them into distinct audio files using a single action. Would it be possible to do this using techniques with Alfred and Keyboardmaestro as you were illustrating?
It works on Cubase 12 !!! But how to make it work on Cubase 13 ? C13 have some design changes and ive tried to follow your guide and added a new screenshots in to Keyboard Maestro, unfortunately i cannot get the toggle to work on C13 as per this workflow, any help is highly appreciated !
...also I see that you have the iCon Platform instead of Avid S1... Is the workflow better for you now? Im just interested 😊 If you could find a solution for the problem with "instrument tracks - audio inserts", that would be great if you could share it 😊
Awesome. Here is another enhancement. Install karabiner. Remap capslock to launch F20. Or launch F20 on left shift press/release. Map f20 to your launcher. Now you can launch with 1 finger keypress. ;)
@@BrianRivlin i have setup all modifier keys on my keyboard to send function keys on a single press. You can apply this to any left or right command option shift control separately. My capslock is a hyper key on press down and will trigger alfred on a single tap. Thanks for the project. You just need to tweak the delay times so they will work for your typing speed. And it work great with KM because karabiner is very low level so KM will detect the function keys properly. KM also detects the 30 virtual mouse buttons. I have used this combo for a long time and it never gives me any issues or conflicts. Enjoy👍🏻
