Congrats!! Small tip for UT's cap system is that once you stay at UT either Arlington or San Antonio, moving to UT sophomore year does not guarantee your desired major, only for majors in the liberal arts school (so economics could be considered), but for instance for McCombs Business School you would have to reapply and receive another decision from UT. Hope that helps! Gig em lol.
Hi what was your gpa and SAT score that got you in to A&M? I have been wanting to go there forever and rn i just finished my first semester of junior year in hs and my sat is non existent lol im working on that
@@parkermills3183 Hey! yeah so I was in the year when COVID-19 first kinda appeared so I was not required to turn in my SAT or ACT score, so I didn't. My GPA was an 3.86 out of 4 and 4.14 out of not sure but since I went to a private school GPA and APs worked a little differently. The one tip I have for applying to A&M is definitely applying as early as possible. Whenever I applied, I applied in August then heard back in July, but I know so many people who applied maybe November and either did not get in or heard back really late. I think the way A&M works is once they hit their max capacity for the certain school you want (engineering, Mays, etc.), they put a cap and regardless of whether your ACT score was extremely high (disregarding the top 6% I believe) you won't be able to get in until they have space. Once students who were admitted accept or deny their acceptance to A&M then all the students who were on the waitlist get in (that's why they hear late). If you want more info j lmk, I'm happy to help!!
@@oliviamccullough7833 Ok thanks for all that. I had a question about the gpa requirement I have been researching but am not quite sure. Does A&M let you into different majors based off your gpa you put down? Like for example if you have like a 3.4 and you wanna so some small major would you get into A&M for that? And then I know engineering is hard to get into so do you need like a 4.0 to get into that? So what Im really asking is can your gpa vary depending on what major you want?
@@parkermills3183 I would suggest searching up just like the school you are applying to and A&m average GPA requirements for e.g. "Texas A&M University college of engineering average GPA requirements", and it should tell you the exact GPA.
Yo I just saw you on the track today as I was tryna walk literally all the way from the front of the school to the back tryna catch the bus 😂 but I see you workin my boy, keep workin.
Congratulations. I have a son in college and one preparing to go. Just some advice from a college graduate, please rethink getting your degree in business and consider something more technical like accounting. I have ran into so many people who don’t have degrees but are in business (project management) positions. No degree or any degree can get you a business type job. Maybe minor in business. Save your desire for a business degree until you are ready to get a master’s degree.
Yes I actually am majoring in finance, thanks for the insight and that’s definitely true. Business degrees are general so it’s good to specialize. I’m going to community college to do my basics then transfer into a state school so I’ll be flexible to change it within these two years
I strongly agree, it makes it unfair tbh because they’re only going off one asset, I believe a lot of CAP people would’ve gotten in if it that rule didn’t exist
They really do, I also got capped from UT but got into ucla... which makes like no sense since the acceptance rate is higher at UT and my major is harder to get into @ ucla
Your energy had me anxious too 💀 congratulations bro
haha thanks bro 😎
I'm a high school teacher and I'm going to share your video. Loved the realness. As a Red Raider I say Gun$ Up!!!!

Bro I got capped too 😭 I just say that I got accepted because I kinda did hahaha bragging rights
haha UT acts like they’re an Ivy wanting to give “coordinated admissions”
What was this man’s gpa?
At the time it was a 3.7
@@tristiandavis6852 SAT?
Do you remember your SAT?
I got capped too wtf is this shit. They need to get rid of top 6% of class auto admit.
