Very nicely done - impressive save after that accident! My pointless facts today are: 1. Xtradecal are produced by Hannants who are based just up the road from where i grew up. I have many of their products 2. Gloster were named after the town in which they were founded 'Gloucester', but changed the spelling after some confusion with potential customers...
Thanks! I really want to do more of these; the Gladiator it seems has quite a number of unique schemes; it'd be fun, i think, to have a menagerie of them!
@@ModelMinutes I've deff heard good stuff from it, it's one of the others I've had my eyes on. *ALMOST* got it instead of this HobbyBoss one, if it wasn't for the fact that this was a handful of change cheaper haha
Interesting marking choice. The variety of roundels never ceases to amaze. Hoping to join this group build as well, but my unbuilt selection is lacking in appropriate choices.
The one I really wanted to do was either the Maltese or the Sudanese one, I am REALLY tempted to just get more Gladiators so I can use up more of these decals haha!
@@fenrismodels Airfix did a gladiator kit a few years ago with Irish decals...there is also a 3rd party decal company from Ireland called "Max Decals" who did a LOT of Irish subjects...not sure if they are still in buisness but their decal sheets should be easy to find.
@@VFCproductions you could try to find the decal sheet from Max decals that has the markings for the gladiator included....im sure the kit is also easy enough to find on the 2nd hand market too

I knew you mentioned Hannants occasionally, I didn't realize you had that connection to them! That's cool!!!
Well done looks great I like the different markings. I’ve built the Airfix Gladiator several years ago that was a nice kit.

That’s a really nice build!
Thanks!!! It was quite fun. I think I am gonna grab some Gladiators from some other brands and maybe do a nice comparison thing too.
@@fenrismodels the newer Airfix version is really nice

Isn't it that accidents are the best ways of training creativity? 😊
EXACTLY!!!! Especially when you have mistakes on something high-profile like a video build, a competition build, or a GB build lol
Well done Fen. It looks great with the "battle damage"
Thanks! I had seen that technique often and never gave it an attempt, I am quite happy with it!
Well tidy build and review.
Thanks! ^__^ I quite enjoyed this build

@@fenrismodels It doesn't need to be a Gladiator. Imagine the Maltese Corsair for example for the fictional schemes GB. 😊
@@calibear569 Oh, I deff want to do some of that sort of stuff as well! I have a number of ideas on how to use up these decals xD
@@fenrismodels 🤔 Sudanese Gunpla? Yey! 🤩
Would have been nice if that 3rd party decal sheet had an option for an Irish aircraft
Agreed!!!! I really want to do an Irish aircraft at some point.

I missed the Irish Airfix Gladiator when it came out. I have always hoped it would return so I can make one.

@@VFCproductions there is 1 decal shhet from max decals that i want to find as it includes an option for the Gardai (Irish police) Puma helicopter
