Making a Hamster Dig Box!

- An awesome enrichment you can offer your hamster is by allowing them to dig in different substrates! While just about any dish will work, I have gotten many questions about my wooden dig boxes I have in my enclosures! So today while I make Dipper his own I show you how along the way!

You’re amazing!!!!!!!!!!! Ppl are being cruel to these small animals n it’s all over the internet, stuff like “funny memes compilation vids’, 🙄stuupdity goes viral on the internet daily and it’s always a human abusing an animal video. always! , we should be putting in EFFORT to give these guys Heaven 🌺!!! Like cats & etc … but hammy’s are NOTHING BUT SWEET . They deserve Kindness like this 🧡
Plus in HK people are killing hamsters because they think hamsters will cause Covid 19 :(

@@nimetulapsyes they do. But it’s masked as fun such as those long mazes that puts hamsters in danger & stresses them out.
Also, putting small animals in general in toy cars & riding then around.
And having them in cages that are too small w barely any bedding.

Omg guess what! I went to petsmart and they are promoting proper care for hammies!! I was so happy! There were GINORMOUS tanks with nice wooden tables and cabinets built into the cage! I’m so happy hammies get good care! I am very proud of my petsmart for getting rid of critter trails❤

This is great! I just got a Multi - Chamber hideout and I put some coco peat and granules in it, and the next night when I checked on him he had completely destroyed my once beautiful looking “dig box” 🥲

Hey thank you for showing more diy cage homes and dig boxes and stuff. I think it really helps out other hamster owners like myself find the right materials that are also hamster safe. So i was out thrifting today, and i found these Lovevery kits that look perfect for a hamster. they originally made for small children/todlers so i think they're non-toxic and made with plywood. I'm searching to make sure they're safe before I add them to an enclosure. :)

It seems you could hide a treat in one of the dig box's and then in future hide a single treat in one of the other dig box's on a random basis. This should make the hamster even more apt to check out all the boxes looking for the treat as I believe the substrate will hide the scent.

I hope to see your video about how to keep hamster warm in winter. I live in tropical, the cold in here is freezing to the bone even when we are indoor 🥲
You should still have heating in your home if it’s freezing out :) temp inside shouldn’t be lower than 65f/18c

My Maple would have all of the different substrates mixed together and spread all in the bottom of her enclosure the first night lol she hated the way I tried to keep her cage organized and did her own housekeeping every night 😅

Victoria make an epic video. It’s a kid apps with tons of books. There are some hamster care books. The shorter the book the more misinformation there is. Also lots of young kids get there information from wpic
it hard to get aspen wood here, can i use teak or mahogany wood? or should i use plywood instead?😢
