This just happened to my husband’s side of the family. His great aunt passed and she was a collector of everything. She had some awesome stuff- I got so many amazing vintage things going through her house on my own for a couple of days. They were going to take the remainder and have it auctioned off, but it was too much work and no one had the time to sort. So someone bought everything remaining in a lump sum.
Aww I’m sure they are very thankful to have someone in the family get her stuff who will truly appreciate it! So glad you were able to get it and use it in your home ♥️♥️♥️

Great post. Recently Jean E found some pink and blue striped crockery and I thought of you. I have a blue striped pitcher like yours only mine is more slender. In the summer I keep zinnias in it. Beautiful.

Your apron made me smile. My grandma made me and my sisters one exactly like it. Mine was tinnier as I was littler. They were all gingham in blue, pink and lavender. 🩵🩷💜

Somewhere, I have a very similar apron, but in red gingham with black cross stitching in the same design. Growing up, my mom had a matching set of the McCoy bowls, like your canisters.

Yard and Garage Sales are so much fun! We just had one last Saturday. That’s the problem…I’m always having them instead of going to them! Lol 😅 Great finds! It’s like a treasure hunt! My first apron I made as a young girl,was blue and white gingham and the club I was in had us cross stitch all along the bottom. So similar it took my breath awsy!
