On the first show Howie said it was too early in the show to give him the golden buzzer, but Marcelito was actually the 6 or 7 contestant during that taping. It’s true...I was sitting in the audience. They had already given the buzzer to the boogie storm dance troop. They wanted Marcelito to have to perform on all the shows be cuz they knew he would bring in millions of views. They edited and pieced all the shows to fit what they wanted.. But Marcelito was seen in 129 countries and I know his career will continue after Covid. There is no one like this amazing young artist! ❤️

Dimash has been classically trained since he was 5 years old. Marcelito lived in the streets since he was 7 years old, orphan. He never had vocal training or lessons at all, he's self-taught. He was invited to compete in AGT The Champions edition. He didn't win but that is another controversial story in itself. Simon used Marcelito to gain viewers. He had the most unique talent and if it had been a real contest, he would have won but he gain millions of fans. He's still the champion in our hearts. Both men (Dimash & Marcelito) really can't be compared as they are completely different in singing styles! I guess the winner of this competition are Indian dancers, they are legit winner. That group is another out of this world talent, their acts is so dope and dangerous you have to check it out. I'm a Filipino and rooting for Marcelito to win but the competition is really tight. I would have thought Marcelito will be the finalist at least but the highest he got is the fourth place. The controversy sorrounding in this competition is the production that you cannot insist what you want to perform, the production is controlled by Simon. What I heard Marcelito was not allowed to sing what he wants and theres so much editing of the song to shorten it.

Of all the international competition platforms i.e. the Voice, Xfactor, AGT, British got talent etc...It's evident that Filipinos shine right from the start of the competition but there were only very few, that were allowed by the organizers to win in the finals. Well, Dimash is the better singer overall because he was classically trained. However, Marcelito's female voice really sounds like a female voice - it has personality of its own, and it doesn't even sound like a falsetto or head voice because of this very unique, and exclusive way of controlling his vocal cords. And the difference in tone of his female voice compared to his male, operatic voice is huge. Literally, two different voices. Dimash on the other hand sings in Soprano and hits those ultra sonic whistles, but his high tone voice is just the soprano version of his normal chest voice.
Why would you call a gift like Marcelito a surprise, sorry Simon that's talent and skill and will not go anywhere that man should have won that show but you guys decided against him

Marcelito had a song already planed for the finals that was even better than Time to Say Goodbye, but Simon said no and chose Beauty and the Beast. At the end of his finals performance all the judges stood up except Simon. If you look closely Simon wore the same dark green tee shirt and makes the exact comment as he did on this performance. But then criticized Marcelito for making a pour song choice that was too safe when Simon chose the song. Notice the look on Marcelito’s face when Simon said that.
