- Current statistics suggest almost 21 million people are victims of forced labour globally, trapped in work which they were coerced or deceived into and which they cannot leave. Human trafficking is considered as forced labour and is one of the fastest-growing criminal activities. Trafficked individuals are modern day slaves. Traffickers trap them - often with the promise of paid work or education in another country, or even in a different part of the same country, then sell or force them to work for no pay, often under degrading conditions. Girls and women are more likely to be trafficked to the UK than boys and men. It can be difficult for trafficked people to escape, few manage to run away or are found by the police.
Across the UK this remains an unseen issue that we are committed to tackling and have joined forces with Century Films this Red Nose Day to create a short video to raise its profile. Currently, Comic Relief is funding 10 projects that tackle trafficking in the UK.
Just £20 could pay for an hour's one-to-one support for a trafficking survivor struggling to cope with post-traumatic stress disorder. If you would like to help us tackle issues such as trafficking, there are lots of ways to get involved and make a difference.

This infuriates me so much. I have so much respect for people who have gone through this and have found the strength to keep living. And for those who could not live any longer, whether by their own hand or their pimp's, I hope those people see endless suffering.

I am so sorry! I have just read a book about Anna a girl from Sibiu who was kidnapped from London and trafficked to Ireland. A horrible, horrific story and my heart feels for you. I am soo sorry.
I am missing some info at the end about who to contact for help - Police, Crimestoppers. Many foreign people I have supported don't even know the emergency number 999 or 112. It would be useful to have this video subtitled into the languages of nationalities who become victims of human traficking the most often - recently I would suggest Romanian, Bulgarian, Russian, etc.
Governments should advertise helpline nos in public media spaces so that they can be reached.
I pray every night for all of the kidnapped victims to be rescued! God is fed up with the human trafficking! It will stop soon!

Not enough info but I get it. I knew an evil person who wanted to do this to women. It was traumatizing to even be asked to help in this. This thing's brother was involved in this in Europe. It's important to educate beforehand to prevent this. If you're poor in your country it would be better to stay poor and just pray. Don't go after money. It's really sad that peope are promised a job and they get trapped in this. You would be surprised and horrified if you knew people who are involved in these types of crimes. They are literally the people who are your neighbors and "friends"!

This victims story pissed md off and scared me. Why can a person do prostitution ( forced, deception is force( it's force in a curved way)) to another person. Pimps must be mentally challenged ( desperate or not).
A thing is, is, that any vulnerable person can be victim of this( child, adult, man, women, black, white, etc).
Second grade in any school, should do nothing but teach children how it's wrong to enslave people. First grade reading and writing, second, anti-slavery, third year , back to reading, writing, and arithmetic. Same as fourth and on to usual curriculum. Why? Just so somewhere in everyone's head, there will be the idea of how wrong it is to pimp/bully people.
It's scary that education to keep slavery away, just isn't hit on.

This is so sad and scary. I thank GOD he protected my children from this lifestyle. Now I pray for my own protection cause I'm in the dating phase, and I ALWAYS end the date cause of this fear. Sometimes I wonder if I should give 1 a chance. Maybe he's not a H.T.
During Armegeddon, the Lord will have everyone lined up and he will judge them. The good will go to Heaven, and the evil rotten people like who steal, rape, murder innocent people, well their deeds will be read outloud to all. So the families of the victims will know, everyone will know, and then it's all burning from there. And the smoke of their torment shall rise forever.

Is this what happened to Madeline Mccann
I believe her parents killed her. The cadaver dogs indicated that there had been a dead body in the appartment recently and maddie stopped appearing at the childrens club at least two days before they reported her 'kidnapping' add all that to the forty odd questions that kate mccann refused to answer when being questioned by the police and there really only does seem to be one conclusion. Plus a day after she went missing they were already referring to her in the past tense, which sounds like they already knew she was dead

A ggod chunk of agriculture here s done at the expense of overexpoited, dare i say enslaved migrant workers from countries like Thailand or india. The other day i got this instagram ad for a brothel.It had an asian girl on its cover. I despise my country so much.

When I was 10 I went with my parents to upstate NY..they were at dinner and as I walked through the lobby of the hotel a man and woman approached me and tried to pull me to a stairway they kept saying how pretty I was... I was SOOO lucky to have been able to break away and run to my parents .....ten years later I was in Manhatten on my way to College when a limo pulled up to the side of Fifth Ave. A man got out and in the crowd of people going to work tried to pull me into the limo! Again I escaped!!! I still think about that and thank G-D I escaped TWICE!!!!

People do not love God enought as I have always said. He walks with you and protects you if ask Him to. It's true.
The bible says God has closed his temple doors, and if he were to look upon us now his wrath would be absolute. God is patient and He remembers all those who've suffered. He weeps rivers for the innocent. The guilty will not escape punishment. They will be resurrected into judgement: in my opinion, that means we will all get to see the scum of this world stand before the Almighty and He will cast the wicked away like rotten grain. We will be avenged when the time is right. This period in history isn't just about us: there is a war going on and we are casualties. But i have faith that God will bring the innocent back and He will wipe every tear from their eyes and suffering will be no more. Church leaders usurp the throne. They mislead and disobey, all the while growing fat off the blood of the people who seek solace.
Edit: Despite colour, creed, language, or religion, God will avenge your suffering. He will not forget the innocent. He knows our hearts.

@@bloombloompow5260 Maybe if every hurt was avoided, we would not learn anything of deep value. Perhaps in praying for help, courage and guidance, we have to do the heavy lifting. This young woman seized an opportunity and ran and cried for help. Thank goodness for caring people to come to her aid.
