The shielding animation is actually a reference to one of the charms that allows you to have a shield while healing. As someone who's played the actual game I love all the references.
Also Linklight is correct, the Knight would find himself fighting Peppino. It's practically canon.

I mean, he's technically correct. Considering the fact that the Knight shows no true emotion in the game and the actual "Hollow Knight" wasn't even actually hollow (which is why the Radiance could wreak the havoc it did), it makes sense to call him the Hollow Knight, or the "true" Hollow Knight. Also in the 1st and 2nd endings the Knight serves the role of the new Hollow Knight.
With that said, would be pretty cool if they added the pure vessel(The hollow knight)

The special attacks are the spells you use in the game. They require soul to use, which is the meter ya got down there. The black equivelents are after upgrading them with void.
Shooting to the side is Vengeful spirit (upgrade: Shadesoul) downwards is Desolate dive (upgrade: Descending dark) and upwards is Howling Wraiths (upgrade: Abyss shriek)
So it isn't really a "puff of air" heheh-

btw whether or not you spend meter depends on if you hold the input
The neutral air is from the charm thorns of agony to put it simple when you get hit your void tendrils lash out and do a aoe sorta

the infamous skins are only available for any DLC characters you've bought before rivals made them free in the definitive edition (clairen, ranno, sylvanos, elianna, ori and shovel knight). so it's basically a bonus for any og players who purchased the dlc

Is ( for me ) the most powerful spell, he help me to to kill Absolute Radiance on solar mode and he is the version more powerful of the Howling Wraiths, he is 3 times more powerful of the pure nail
( don’t try to doit on this mode, literally I beat on 1 moth lol )
