      Appreciate your video as there are way so many specialized items we use and my storage shed has filled up with wasted purchase items that have either failed to live up to the hype or marginal. We don’t have big bucks to freely spend on less than quality items and need both value and reliability. Spending more does NOT guarantee better quality. Thanks again

      I just spoke with Nomad Internet customer service and they are handling my cancellation and refund with no issues. I think the level of fear may not be warranted.

      @@dbottaz Really!! How'd you do that? I've been trying for three weeks (multiple times a day) to reach them via telephone and email and they simply do not answer, or their line is out of service, all after leaving numerous messages that never get returned. Haven't had service for a month now, but they're certainly still charging my card. And I wouldn't call it "fear", more like frustration that I've been scammed by a bunch of scumbags. So, consider yourself very, very lucky.

    I saw your initial video and was SO excited that I ALMOST ordered it right then and there. Thankfully I wanted my husband to see it first and waited to show him before I ordered it. He agreed this looked like an incredible product. Thank goodness it was still cold out and we simply didn't order it yet. I am sad you were basically forced into making this video but I am SO APPRECIATIVE you did. Thank you a million times over for letting us know. As a business owner I feel integrity and service are maybe even more important than the actual product. Shame on them. It isn't difficult to just DO THE RIGHT THING. You have done the right thing. Keep doing your thing. I really enjoy everything you share!

      @@deassfgh7807 This isn't a multibillion-dollar company. The CEO appears to have a prior record with multiple other entrepreneurial companies he started or bought with little funding or support structure, of which this was just one, and has not paid millions owed to others from other failed ventures. This was just another greatly oversold shot in the dark, in a very competitive space, by someone who imagines themselves to be wealthy and capable of somehow providing what is required. The question is whether it was done while he was still on parole and what the bigger picture looks like when it is all accounted for.

    I have much respect for Robin from Creativity RV and when I saw her video prior to the flood of others promoting Nomad Internet I held back. Robin will never put something untruthful out there that can damage her reputation. I am glad that I did not fall for it but sad that so many were taken by Nomad Internet. Thanks Grateful Glamper for your honesty and staying true to yourselves.

    I'm very glad you posted this follow up. I had my concerns when you gave them praise initially because of my experience with them. While I never was an RVer. I used to live in a location where wired internet was not possible. The same gentlemen had the nerve to call me a gaslighter because the 1st sent me the wrong carrier unit. then tried to say they undercharged me for the correct unit (even thought the price was posted on their own website) Really shady business practices and I am glad they are being exposed on a large scale.

    I dropped nomad internet the beginning of the year not only did they tell me I needed to pay out-of-pocket for an upgrade and they raise the price on the package I had but then they talked to me like I was garbage. Thank you so much for this video as I truly hope it helps others not to make the same mistake as I did I had invested way too much time into nomad internet to be tossed aside like garbage.

    I almost ordered NOMAD because of all the great reviews, but something told me to wait, so glad I did. I know that you and your family are decent people, it is so upsetting that there are some pretty rotten individuals in this world that are scammers like NOMAD.

    Thank you so much for your wonderful videos! I have used a lot of the tips and tricks you and Ben post. We are planning on a 2 month camping trip, with our lab Molly, from MO to AK this summer, and I was seriously thinking about getting Nomad. We thought it would also be a good fit for home use since we live in a rural area and can only hot-spot our Verizon phones for the internet. Had read some bad reviews on the BBB site, but now, with your video, we will definitely not be pulling the trigger. Keep up the good work! Your reputation is solid!

    Thank you for standing by your viewers. We didn’t order although we were tempted. We had such a poor experience with them in Dec 2020 I was waiting it out to see what happened. This entire situation is worse than we would’ve dreamt with them though.

    Thank you for this heads-up video. I just watched a similar video from Endless RVing. I am still using my Nomad unit and really hope I have no need to contact the company for help. I had to get help with the initial setup (continuous red light), but one of Nomad's customer service reps emailed me the instructions for re-setting the unit. Once the unit was reset, I got a blue light. Since then (about six weeks), no problems except really slow speeds on occasion. Thanks again. Lou from Georgia.

    We attempted to use this service a couple years ago during our extensive travels. We did not have much luck at all with it. We are very technically savvy and experienced so it was not because of that. Their customer service was a painful experience. After multiple months of trying to get reliable service, we gave up, canceled the service, AND we had to eat the cost of the upper tier modem. Now we have mobile Starlink and use our ATT cell data (when needed which is rare because of Starlink reliability) and it has worked without a hitch in many months. Love the Starlink!

    We had the same thing happen to us....and we are a TINY channel. It's gotten to the point where these companies are taking advantage of our channels for free advertising when it's convenient for them. We decided no more free advertising. We are not talking about monetary compensation...We are talking about taking care of the people we recommended their products to. Once they got their free advertising, they would disappear while our videos are still out there promoting their products. Not anymore...Done with these kinds of people. SO sorry this happened to you...But this is what it takes to put an end to it. THANK YOU for standing up for what's right.

    Nomad has had issues for years and no one wanted to confront the issue until all these UA-camrs have been getting scammed. Regular people have been scammed for years and years. Glad finally UA-camrs got scammed so we all know what they were doing is getting dealt with.

    I hope the word is out and they lose a vast majority of their users. I dumped them some time ago and had hoped they had turned their company around. I'm so glad I took a wait and see approach!!     I think it's important for you - a voice of the rv community - to take more time when doing reviews. Not just how well the product performs, but look into the background of the company and other users concerns.
    It looked like you just got a new killer device sponsor and went overboard selling it for them without doing any due diligence into the big picture of the sponsor.
    Hopefully a lesson learned on your part.

      We honestly did try to do a deep dive, and were told by the CEO himself they had realized the error of their ways and were reinventing themselves. We also saw several other credible influencers that were promoting them and had promoted them for several years. But yes, very unfortunate lesson learned for not only us but many of our RV UA-cam friends.

      You are spot on. Many channels rushed to promote Nomad with no more than a few days of testing, despite many easily found complaints from users and clear warning signs IMHO. I appreciate the quick action by Charity/Ben and others to sever their sponsorship deals and I do believe Charity when she says that lessons were learned.

    Thank you for posting this video. We have been waiting on our Nomad modem package as well for over a month and to no avail we haven’t received anything. I emailed them today to cancel our order as well, and I am asking for a full refund for the money paid.
    So sorry you all have went through this as the information you all put out is always good and genuine. Thanks again and do not let this stop you from doing what you all do.

    Hey Charity and Ben! First let me say thank you for making this video. It is completely understandable and worthy of the uncomfortable discussion. The heads up warning and advice is greatly appreciated. If I was in your situation, my next step would be the file an attorney general complaint listing all the issues you encountered and what an acceptable solution would be. The AG’s office will then investigate and this situation will then be on file. I would also file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau if you have the time. This will affect Nomad’s business rating which would be helpful to those not aware of their lack of professional business practices. Again thanks you so much for explaining your experience and don’t ever feel bad that you have to let us viewers and fellow RVers know about a negative issue that may affect us!! 👍😃

    Thanks for making this video instead of just pulling the other one down. When I looked at NOMAD webpage and pricing, it looked way too expensive, even if the company was legit. Their plan was running close to what Starlink was, and Starlink has NO reliance on cell towers like NOMAD does. What they have done sounds borderline criminal regarding bait and switching customers. FTC needs to investigate. Again, thank you for posting this video.

      Pffft...the FTC won't care. This kind of thing is par for the course for cellular service.
      It's all back room deals over who gets to use the private property towers. If you don't play ball you can expect to pay top dollar for bargain bin service.

    Thanks for notifying everyone about this scam. Nothing hurts our pride and self esteem more than being taken or conned by someone. It's that helpless feeling of being violated and embarrassed by these parasites in our community. Hats off to you for putting personal feelings and emotions aside and educating your loyal followers ASAP and protecting anyone from falling prey to these incompetent degenerates.     Unfortunate reality is that sometimes necessary components struggle to cohese & make for successful business endeavors. Perhaps this company will regroup- yet again- & make needed adjustments to recover, perhaps even thrive.
    The RV community is a massive market, which still lacks much healthy competition for our wifi needs. I know I would surely be motivated to capture a healthy share of it.

    Thanks for the honesty. Y'all are really great people to be able to stand strong for the RV community and your subscribers. Before I heard of Nomad, I actually purchased a Jetpack from Verizon and the $80 a month for 100Gig and we have been happy with that. I seriously thought about switching to Nomad, but decided to continue using the Jetpack.

    Gosh good for you. We upgraded from the Legend to the Air and then they started double billing us for the old and new. Same thing, tons of emails with no response so we contacted our CC company and they were going to take care of it. Same day I saw Our New Normal advertising for them like you did. I messaged them and immediately Nomad,”Heather” actually called us. Very apologetic, very nice. They reversed all the charges and made things good. So sad because we have loved this service. This was just two weeks ago. We’re just going to keep until it stops working I guess? I love your channel and appreciate your honesty. How did Our New Normal get answered so quickly?

      We we’re getting answered quickly at first, and then the answers we got were “canned” responses like “we will check into it and get back to you” and we rarely got real answers. After a series of 77 emails over the course of 19 days, we were told we were taking too much of their time. (And these emails were about issues our viewers were having, comments left expressing concern, etc)

    Thank you, thank you, thank you. We had them for about 2 years, same time frame as Robin's channel. Nomadic Fanatic was endorsing them heavy so we signed up. Can't believe they left us all to get up in the morning and have no internet. And no one to talk to about it. Very shoddy deal now. We scrambled to find something and went with TMobile Home Internet. Skeptical of the coverage, but for no contract, month to month, unthrottled, , unlimited at $50 a month we gave it a try. We have taken it all over Texas, to Florida, up to Indie. So far, it has worked and even beat Verizon and ATT for speeds everywhere we've gone. Good luck to you, and will follow to see what you find as a replacement.

    Charity, this is certainly NOT your fault and not a reflection on you or your channel in any way, you guys have ALWAYS been very straightforward and truthful! You are not alone; they hoodwinked many others. Unfortunately, these days there are many scammers out there who talk a good game but evidently have another nefarious agenda in mind.     Thanks for this video! We had seen the original video about this product. We WERE considering it... Almost pulled the trigger on it as we are heading into travel season and getting prepared!     I heard of Nomad Internet and placed an order. More than a week after this order and they still hadn't shipped my order but had charged my credit card right away. So I cancelled. Luckily for me, the refund showed up on my card within a couple of days. I now realize that I was saved from a potentially bad situation. I'm so sorry for all the other folks who weren't so lucky.

    Anytime a company sends products to use and review especially this type of gear, they will be sure to give you the best possible service. They however can not do that for every customer. I always wait for multiple reviews from those not given the product to use.

    Wow! I'm a retired veteran 25yrs US Air Force. I live on the forested side of a mountain in North Carolina. I live in a converted cargo trailer with no windows (by choice), no water, no electric. I travel 5mi to get a signal on my Verizon hot spot (unit. $65 per mo) Download UA-cam shows that I may watch at night. I saw your show about Nomad internet add thought it sounded good, till I went to Nomad site and saw price of $125 per mo. I decided to wait. Now I'm damn glad I did. Thanks for coming forward !

    Thank you for this video; as I had ordered a Raptor modem from Nomad, after your video and agree their communication was very poor and after 2+ weeks of waiting and reaching out; they were still not able to ship my unit and I requested a cancellation of my order after reaching out them numerous times.

    The Visible Wireless $45 plan has unlimited hotspot and it's owned by Verizon and has 5G Ultra Wide Band with the appropriate phone.
    Now it's capped at 5mbps up and down but on wide band it cranks up the speed.

    We just got into the RV industry with the purchase of our RV in June. But, when I start research RVs last year I kept coming across Nomad videos where people were saying they were done with Nomad. Needless to say, mad respect for putting this video out.

    Had the same issues, took my loss not sure how that continues....anyways I'm using RV STARLINK....works great, need to be away from trees....I don't think u can use it when traveling...like moving...uses lots of power, and got to figure out what to do with cable line to connect....I work from RV too. Still getting use to it...but so far it's great!

    Thank you for your integrity. I get really annoyed at the people who post videos and will not tell you what some of these RV manufacturers are pulling. I bought a trailer based on many reviews of a particular brand and model. With no heads up of how bad the new company had degraded the brand.

    We saw your original video right after you posted it. I did some of my own research and had lots of questions. A few I sent to Nomad to just get half answers! Then we saw MJ and Izzy talk about it and then not recommend. For both of you amongst many others, to be sooo fooled by “salesman” that can’t truly backup and support their product the way they need to, then we are out as well!

    I had ordered mine on Sunday. After no shipping information for 2 days, I reached out to them yesterday. I was told the modem would ship on Monday. Due to the feedback on UA-cam and changing needs, I canceled yesterday. The agent was very gracious and canceled my order. It remains to be seen if I get the refund as promised. I'm bummed because I thought I'd found an internet solution. The search goes on. Thanks for the update.

      We’re very sorry for those having problems as well. We truly hope Nomad will do the right thing - they do have a 30 day cancellation window where people should be able to cancel and refund. Or contact their card provider and dispute charges.

    Thanks for this video. Integrity is everything! I was looking into this company as they had reached out to us for promotion on our channel. I was doing some research before even replying, and all the bad feedback on this company has made me decide I will never do business with them! There are too many bad actors out there putting creators' hard work at risk nowadays!

    We had nomad for off grid. Our router stopped working in December. I emailed them and they wanted me to upgrade to a $500 router something about they upgraded their providers and my router will no longer work (the new one they wanted me to buy looks like the one your holding) Come to find out our router just needed a new SIM card to get working again. We went to the dollar store bought an att prepaid SIM card and router works just fine. The thing that got to me was we have cameras that are needed for security and for them to turn off our service to a location that's hours from the closet town really put it in perspective for me. I just had cameras but what if someone else off grid relied on their services for emergencies?! Oh and they continued to charge me for two additional months! It's was like pulling teeth out to get a refund.

    I am so sorry this happened to you and so many others. Hubby and I have always liked your videos because you keep such a positive attitude, however, this post was NECESSARY. As you mentioned, your integrity is too valuable to let some bozo dirty it up, so GOOD FOR YOU! I have always agreed with your philosophy of just celebrating the good, but when a company is deceiving people on the regular - especially with a company you have partnered with - I truly believe that your responsibility is to your subscribers. I appreciate how hard this video was to make, but thank you for protecting us all with this information.

    I’m so glad you guys made this video this is the first I’ve heard of this , after watching your earlier video on the reliability of the nomad product as well as from other UA-cam channels speaking about this product I was excited to purchase it, but now , there’s no way, if this guy running the company was dirty before and started treating you and others with this type of behavior then he never changed , he’s a con man who cares about himself only. Thank you for putting yourselves out there , he used you as well as others he should be sued at the bare minimum. I look forward to your next video, keep on trucking guys!

    I haven’t heard any more about this aspect of the problems but some months ago I heard a story about this kind of company using other systems illegally and they had to stop hijacking signals. I didn’t listen carefully since I use Starlink. The real problem may be they just got cut off.

    Once a company lies, you can NEVER TRUST them. Don't promote or use their product and just letting everyone know about this will hopefully decrease their sales and eventually RUIN THE COMPANY. Thank you for sticking up for your people.

    It's great that everyone is coming out now and denouncing this company but this also exposes a larger issue of "non-professionals" endorsing products where they don't have total expertise in that field. It's a slippery slope as an influencer and hopefully everyone who was paid to endorse this product have learned a lesson. It's not always about the money (which this was all about), it is about the experience. Safe travels.

      I think when a UA-cam influencer is being paid to promote a product they should be required to say they are being paid to promote the product. Then we could decide whether or not we need to take them and their channel with a grain of salt.

    We are not full time RVers but sometimes have bad internet services in some of the parks, so we’re looking for a solution. I had watched your UA-cam post about Nomad and thought that might be the answer. Then a few days later saw Robin’s. Glad I waited to do anything. Love your channel. I learn so much.

My son found discrepancies on their web pages on what their prices were, and that they had plans requiring contracts. If you did not get the contract they charged more. I contacted them last Friday and, what do you know, I got it yesterday. but it looks used and just thrown in the box, I am in the process of trying to return it!

    It's great you're making this type of video. I do see a possible cease and desist letter in your future 😊
    Now I was wondering how does a content creator find that balance between working with paying sponsors and promoting a product that is known for quality and or customer service issues? 🤔
    You mentioned a good point that while you used it it worked well so the quality part seemed to pass. But your conversations with the company were mainly with marketing and the CEO.🤔 Definitely a great opportunity for improvement and learning experience.
    Another great point that you made was that you as a creator, "paraphrasing " have a responsibility to your viewers and your reputation is far more valuable than any one sponsorship deal.

    I ordered nomad internet based on your previous video. I actually did receive the modem. But when I got it it had already been opened. There were no directions. I emailed them and they were great at responding at first, but then it took them days to get back with me. I didn't get any faster internet than I did with my Verizon devices. It wasn't worth the cost. So I sent it back. Now I'm watching and waiting for the refund. Crossing my fingers it won't be taken as a loss. 🤞🤞

    Soooo bummed! I really wanted unlimited internet 😢😢😢After I watched your previous episode recommending it I bought the Nomad Air. ( in fact I buy ALOT of things you recommend) I’ve not received it for many weeks and just recently have received emails from the company saying it was “delayed”. I emailed and asked for my money back but haven’t heard back😢I hope I will be able to get my money back. Thank you for letting me know.

    I used your code and got a discount like 15 days ago or longer. They then said that they didn’t have the Air Modem. They told me the same thing, that they were in back order. I paid full price and then some $60 something for the mailing. All we got was a generic email with some “offers.” Now, even as I said that I wanted to cancel, they sent an email that they had mailed it to us. And, they are playing mind games. I felt that prior to coming here and watching this video. Thanks for looking out for all of us. Your professionalism and honesty, I can tell, are your driving force. Now, I’ll stay on this fight to get this shipped right back to them without opening it. If you’d like to know all the dirty little games they’re playing, I can forward you the emails. Thanks again!

    Watching and listening to you brings me back to how I felt dealing with Nomad Internet. I watched your video and thought to myself, this is not going to end well. I would NEVER recommend this company to any of my friends. When you have a service that you can’t get access to your debit or credit card used is a big tip right there. Stay far away from this company.

When I saw the video you made endorsing Nomad, I was impressed with it and felt like it might be a valid way for my husband and I to have internet service on the road or marina.     Omg totally happened to me. Different situation but at the end of the day , customer support was pretty bad.
    They basically sent a crappy modem and tried to get them to apply a credit because I couldn’t use it for a few months. They blew me off and would not issue credit.
    I moved on because I don’t have time to ask a company to do what they promise / claim.

    I experienced the same constant delays in shipping. They offered to send another unit and a credit for two months. Sounded good but the credit for two months was $450? That is way more than the plan I signed up for. I cancelled.

    As a cord cutter (No cable) I put all my TV's on a firestick, and a roof antenna (winegard sensar III) and now to get wifi, MoFi4500. Sim cards switched every 2 weeks as we use a lot of gigs and streaming makes them block and it will just spin and be SLOW. Will switch to another service after my contract is up. Unlimited, doesn't mean unlimited? Why chastise me for the gigs I use, when I was sold the plan with unlimited? Throttled, boggles my mind! Punishment. New TV's come with roku and 4 or 5 G, expecting everyone to have an internet provider (some elderly don't even own a computer, so why would they pay for internet? Now cable wants to offer free internet, is that to make the TV's work? Once upon a time TV screens were the computer monitors! Yes, I'm THAT old!

    I am glad you are making this video. This shows that youtubers/influencers have a large impact on the masses. That is why it is important to know the products that you are recommending and not just because you are getting paid or given free services.
