- Replacing the tank badges on a 2021 Road glide.
Hair dryer and fishing line for the removal, goo gone and alcohol for the residue.
Fossil plastic scraper blades for the hard part.

Badges Look too far forward
Measured up with my buddy’s special, I was off by an 1/8th of an inch… pretty damn good if you ask me.
Badge is definitely too far forward. It doesn’t look great at all redo it.

New badges 1 inch too far forward
We measured up next to my buddy’s stock special and I was only out by an 1/8 of an inch, maybe 3/16” not enough to pull and redo.
Heat the badge up with a heat gun remove it and use denatured alcohol to remove the remaining residue.
Someone else that as well. I’ll have to look into it next time.
I’ve seen the rubber eraser wheels that are supposed to work great but end up being typical Amazon junk. The plastic blade may take longer but at least it won’t fall apart lol. End results looked great.

Next the residue can be cleaned off with some simple and very affordable McGuire’s cleaner wax in the dark maroon bottle .

I have the same badges on my 16 sgs. Looks great! Try denatured alcohol

Denatured alcohol wotk the best
I take a piece of piano wire and clamp it with two pairs of vice grips and I cut the badge off through the rubber with the wire and then the remaining adhesive comes right off with a high speed decal wheel remover, works perfect. Takes me 10 minutes..
Dental Floss works good for removing emblems as well and won't scratch paint if you get too close.
Dental floss remove the plastic hair dryer heat it up when you were cutting through it and your blade stoped heat you would have kep going done two tanks not one scrach then leave hd sign off looks lot better un less Harley gives you pipes to put it on
