Yaseen it’s sad the point Eliud kipchoges at, and I hope he gets better, but on the bright side you can say you beat eliud kipchoge your very first race lol.
Lmao nah lol. It was just funny to see the progress. I would link it but I think yt blocks links. You can back last year and were like “ok gUYs I JusT rAN 13:33 5k and 3:57 miLE!”
Absolutely incredible! I only found your channel recently and couldnt believe your lactate readings on some of those recent sessions... it showed you were in great shape... but to go and run 2:11 on that course, in that heat, and on a debut IS NUTS! big talent
I checked the marathon results just to see how well you did and was beyond happy to see you did amazing. CONGRATULATIONS! Going to the Olympics is one thing, but running well is another! I love your videos by the way, always helps to motivate me on the harder days seeing the progress you made and the light at the end of the tunnel.
I hyped you up around my runner friends, and everyone was talking MAD shit. I knew. I stayed up and watched this shit until 4:25 am, and I knew the whole time. Super proud of you goat. Time for cross 😂
Recently discovered your channel. I was rooting for you. To run the marathon with the goats, in the Olympics, and through the streets of Paris? What a tremendous achievement man. Congratulations:) Happy bday🎉
I remember when I stumbled across your channel a couple years ago in my sophomore year and you instantly got me hooked on running and training in general. I'm getting ready to run in college but I would have not even considered doing cross country/track a couple years ago until I found your channel. Thanks bro also 2:11 is so tuff.
Was rooting for you all the way! Mashallah man, from the bottom of my heart, performance of the day imo, congrats on crushing your debut, and I can’t wait to see what you can do on a faster course 👀👀👀
I’ve been waiting for this to drop. Watched the whole marathon and only caught a glimpse of you once or twice! I was following your live splits like a hawk Great job out there
Sensational run! Was so fun to follow the series! What was your hydration strategy? Where did you look for inspiration for your training? How did you stay fresh mentally for the marathon after a long NCAA season? Get some rest and congrats again!
Even though my first marathon was only 4:25-ish, way back in 1980, your enthusiasm and wonder and tales of muscle pain, bring the experience back to life! Enjoy your life to the max, dude!
In terms of relative performance, you definitely had one of the most impressive performances in all of the running events this olympics. when i woke up i checked the marathon results and scrolled all the way to the bottom of the results(cus you’re in an elite field so i was obviously expecting to see you there). first thing i saw was kipchoge dnf and was like damn. then i couldn’t find u and thought u didn’t compete or smth. i kept scrolling up and saw your time and was like DAYUMMM. that’s actually freaking crazy. im j a random stranger on the internet but im so proud of where you are and where you’ve come from man - good luck this season.
I genuinely think that you have the potential that in about 5 years you can mix it up at the front of the pack and go for top places at major marathons and future olympics. :)
You did great man! I didn't know you even went to the toilet (they didn't broadcast) but it only increases my respect. Who knows one day you win a major marathon in which you went to the toilet 😂. Wish you all the best and hope to see you run on a fast marathon course in the future!
Boy oh boy where do I even begin. Yaseen.. honey, my pookie bear, the way you run onto the track and strike fear into your enemies eyes. Your silky smooth stride around the track. I would do anything for you. I wish it were possible to freeze time so I would never have to watch you get the same place in xc nationals two years in a row. You had a rough year, but you never gave up hope. You are even amazing off the track, you’re a great husband and father, sometimes I even call you dad. I forever dread and weep, thinking of a day you will one day retire I would sacrifice my own life it were the only thing that could put a smile on your beautiful face. You have given me so much joy, and heartbreak over the years. I remember when you first left texas and it’s like my heart got broken into a million pieces. But a tear still fell from my right eye when I watched you win your first ring in Tennessee, I just wanted you to find the right place. Then allas, you did, my sweet baby boy found a new school Alabama. 2022/23 was a hard year for us baby, but in 2014 you made history happen. You came back and ran the Olympic marathon and came 33rd beating the likes of Eluild and Bekele and I couldn’t believe it I was crying, bawling even, and I heard my glorious king exclaim these words, “SUDAN, THIS IS FOR YOU!” Not only have you changed the game of distance running and the world forever, but you’ve eternally changed my world. And now you’re getting older, but still the goat, my goat. I love you pookie bear, my glorious king, Yaseen Abdalla. Happy birthday my king🥰🥰❤️ (I missed the premiere retyping this)
Watching the race on TV was crazy 2:11 is one hell of a debut, man. You have a bright future in the marathon after college. What did you take fueling-wise for the race?
If you switch to marathons I think a sponsor would pick you up before another sponsor does because in a few years it could be realistic to run world-class times.
Yeah I saw you pass Kipchoge. Your name came up first on my screen watching it live, probably on peacock. Had to rewind it to double check cause I was like wait did it say Yaseen Abdalla?
