  • Twenty-two-year-old Jaylan Gray had to quit college to take care of his 12-year-old brother, Julian, after their mother, a single parent, died. But things got worse, when their home in Katy, Texas, was severely damaged, and a contractor ran off with their life savings. That was when a non-profit called Katy Responds, a group that fixes up houses after natural disasters, heard of their plight. Correspondent Steve Hartman reports.

    The contractor that ripped those boys off should be under the jail.

    God Bless these two brothers and Katy Responds. Its message of love and compassion still existing in our USA is so vitally needed especially at this time. Now it's tugging at my heartstrings to want to help Katy Responds.

    Despite the constant barrage of negative news by the media (it's intentional) once in a while we hear a story of not fear, divisiveness, hate, or war, but of LOVE, fear's opposite. Thank you Steve for your positive, uplifting stories.

    Yes, more of this! Less politics Less condescension, more love like this! These boys and the people who helped them are what we are about as Americans! Who cares what color your skin is or who you choose to be romantically involved with. Spread more love and less hate!

    • @I_WANT_MY_SLAW
      @I_WANT_MY_SLAW Рік тому +1

      But this is political. The reason they were in that situation to begin with is because of the racism that exists in Texas.

    • @UFRooster
      @UFRooster Рік тому

      @@I_WANT_MY_SLAW seriously? How about the reason they were in that situation is because their mom had a horrible end, and when they were at their lowest someone took advantage of them? Nowhere did skin color come into the equation, just a horrible loss and BAD personalities! I think you need to look inside and see who is harboring racist ideals.

    • @Me97202
      @Me97202 Рік тому +1

      @@Me97202 it seems the left side does as well, especially when there are financial advantages or entitlements to exploit. Why can’t we just be people and judged by our character and efforts.
