The children from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta were given the tough decision of choosing a present for themselves or one for their parents. Video of the social experiment entitled "The Other Christmas Gift," showed that when given the choice these kids overwhelmingly put aside their own wants to give their parents presents. Roughly 80 percent of the kids who participated in the experiment chose to give gifts to their family, creator Rob Bliss told INSIDE EDITION. #InsideEdition
Honestly, it feels better to give a gift to someone than to receive one.

People thought this was fake? Why? Those kids have probably experienced this at home- Mom skips dinner so her kids have enough to eat, Dad foregoes new work boots so he can buy sneakers for his kids, parents skip buying things for themselves in order to give their children a fun Christmas. Kids notice the sacrifices their parents make.

I will always choose myself, my mom has kept me in this abusive family for several years, I have many mental issues because of her. She claims it’s for me, but now she’s financially independent too yet still chooses to stay with my physically, emotionally abusive father. She literally is the only one who works and makes money for the family but apparently she still won’t leave him. I’m moving out and never talking to this family again, including my sister.
This is amazing. There were able to show that they know how to give back to those who provide for them. Respect ✊🏽❤️

Maybey when I was a lot younger, I would have chosen myself. but when I started to get a little bit older, like 9, I started to think more about my parents and when I turned 10, I made 50$ and instead of spending it on myself I bought my mom a beautiful mug. I'm so glad that I bought it for my mom because she died when I was 11 and it was the worst year of my life. now I have the mug I bought her and every time I drink out of it, it reminds me of how much I loved her and how much she loved me😔

I can relate to this (sort of lol) because this year, I told my husband that I'm not asking for anything this christmas except to give a ton of gifts to him and our baby daughter. He works so hard so that I can be a stay at home mom, he deserves all the presents and things he wants during the holidays😊 giving back to him (and to others) just makes me feel a type of happiness in my heart that an item could never make me feel❤
