hello, thanks for watching my video! i just used cardstock paper and i rolled up some pieces of tape to attach it to the grad cap. i know many people that super/hot glue it on but i didnt want mine to be permanent so i just used tape :)
great question! i measured the size of the circle and found the center of the paper. after marking it in pencil, i used an exacto knife to first creat an X slit and then just cut the rest of the circle out :) hope this is helpful and congrats on graduation!
I’m here cause I’m graduating in a month lmao but I have a question: do you think it’s weird to just get one of these from online? Like I love the designs but I suck at drawing and I know they would look ugly if I did it 🤣🤣
hahah great question! you’d put the tassel over the paper! i left mine under so that it wouldnt move around too much when i took grad photos. i also didnt have a real graduation last year because of the pandemic so we didnt have to turn our tassel or anything :))
Did you use regular black paper, card stock, or a specific type for the grad cap topper? And how did you glue/place it on the cap?

Beautiful!
thank you!!
helloo, i was just wondering how did u cut off the circle of the center without ruining the paper??

@@Sincerelylaure Thanks!!
How did you make it stay on the cap?
i just used tape and rolled it up because i didnt want it to be permanent. you can totally use glue or hot glue too!
You could also do Velcro strips, I’m doing mine one cardboard so I can have interchangeable designs. It’ll be sturdier too.
omg thats SO SMART

omg no! thats totally not weird! there are several small businesses that actually sell grad cap designs😊
so how do you move the tassel? that's where I'm confused. and do you put it under or over?

@@Sincerelylaure thank you! I ended up putting it over it! And I looked great! 🥰
What are the exact dimensions I need for the paper?
it depends on the size of your cap! i recommend comparing it to your cap and measuring from there. congratulations!
what kind of paint did you use?
If you see closely, most of them say ‘acrylic paint’ and they work well on it! 🤍
i just used acrylic paint :)
How did u do the lettering for both caps? :)
for the harry potter one, i cut out copper colored paper on my cricut machine and for the other one, i used a metalic brush pen and hand wrote it!
