A power stretcher works a hell of a lot better!
There's gotta be a way to do this without wrecking your body with those knee kicks. I can't imagine this is how a carpet installer works all day, every day.

Always use a power stretcher. The knee kicker is not a stretcher. The knee kicker is to move and shift the carpet in place when it's being installed. Use the power stretcher to stretch the carpet. You can purchase a stinger that fits on the tail end of the stretcher, for use on wood subfloors. This makes it much easier than the extension tubes. But of course if you have carpet over a cement slab, you have to use the tubes and so you charge extra when carpet is on a slab. Pat's Carpet Repair.... I've been stretching carpet for 30 years.

You need to invest in a power stercher. Also watch floors by southern boys, for the proper way to stretch carpet. One more thing never put your tools or chemical on the customers furniture or countertops.

All you need in most cases, is a power stretcher head/w a hook attached to it. When stretching a carpet with a wood subfloor, you dont need a rod system. I have been cleaning and stretching carpets for 22 years.
Power stretching may be the last thing you want but it sure beats knee replacement surgery down the road. Use a power stretcher my friend. You will be glad you did.😎
I hope you guys watch more videos before trying this on your carpet. This guy has no clue what he's doing. Comical. And atleast rent, buy, or borrow a power stretcher. I almost garrentee most home owners get down and kick a knee kicker, you will probably have a hard time walking next few days if at all. The rug being wrinkled like that-well, youll have that when someone half ass installs it with a knee kicker in the first place!!! Properly manufactured, properly installed carpet does not wrinkle. Period.
