Just got a 2019 Dodge Ram crew cab doing star lights couldn’t figure out how to get headliner out without taking windshield out or back glass then I remembered you’ve done it through the doors at one point! Thank you for saving my day
Yessir! Been waiting for this one since yesterday! Cannot wait to finish the starlight and headlight builds for my 6.0 that we’re building on my channel!
Looks amazing! I did 800 in my 05 gmc and put a big diamond in the middle and it turned out sick! So glad you finally did one been excited to see your trucks with it done! Mine took myself 11 hours all on my own just running lights.. can’t wait to see what all you do with the banana ram.
I’ve done 5 of these and 2 were in my personal vehicles. I’ve learned that taking the old fabric off does need to be done! I did the headliner in my truck like 3 years ago and now have to redo it, do to the suede sagging because I didn’t take the old fabric off. Did the headliner in my bmw over a year a half ago and tore the old fabric off and I haven’t had a single problem! You can even see it in the video, where the headliner bends up at the sides the suede didn’t stick that well because it doesn’t have a good surface to stick to. Other then that tho it came out great and definitely tops the build off!
Dude, you're like the ideal shopmate, just so down and chill and ready for anything! Great video! I'm looking at doing this to my HUGE headliner in my Infiniti QX80, but dreading the idea of 1000 holes! The length of my roof is just so long, I suspect it will need the higher quantity!
I did the same thing in my f350 with black suade. I did a 260 fiber kit it was 65 bucks on Amazon. Turned out great, i had about 120 in the whole thing. So any of you guys that want to do it on a truck, 260 looks good too. There’s plenty of fibers
Ya know... I should be sleeping since I gotta wake up at 6 tmr.... But once I saw this upload pop up I took a hard pass to me not sleeping and a hard yes to me watching this video 💯
I just did starlight in my headliner. First mistake I made was using gorilla glue. After it sits for a while the glue ends up melting the fibers and they become super brittle. You can literally run your hand over them and they will snap. I redid it with hot glue and a huge difference
So I have a 2016 ram looking to do same thing with lights and new headliner the link you provided for the headliner says no foam pad and it looks like yours has one in the video I just want to make sure I’m buying the correct fabric before I purchase it
Yo Ryan, let me tell you man you have inspired me to do a lot of things on my own. I’m building the same truck that you built when you did banana ram. And everything has been coming out for the most part pretty good you know it’s a learning process thanks bro.
Looks steller! I wish you'd of painted the plastic pieces brown to match the headliner, but it's your build. I have been following since you were just about finished with 6 7 Lime.
Be aware Do not use hot glue you can melt the fiber lights and it has happened. Use anything else that isn't heated. Some have used gorilla glue and I also heard what works very well is the JB weld
Use some wire loom to go over the strands between the roof and the floor so you do not have light shining through side panels... wire it to a switch because depending on how bright yours is it can get annoying while driving at night...
Just finished this mod on my wrx, sooooo time consuming but worth it lol I did a 295 pc, 3 different size strands all bluetooth I used E6000 for my glue, it’s a gel style glue rated for a higher temp then hot glue, worked beautifully
You getting a RoadForce balancer? You should get a machine to true your tires while you're at it. The reason those big tires are so hard to balance is that they are out of round. Get a machine to true them and trim them back into round and you'll be good to go!
I believe you can download an app to control the lights, so you don't have to fuss with a remote. The amazon page you linked says it has that capability.
Those shots in the dark were a mood!
Im a huge fan of you and rian
Looks so good man!! Should have wrote LFTD in the starlights would of been unique.
I second that 🤟🏾
No
He will do that with the green ram and and a purple headliner
All about those details baby....that would have been a great idea John.👍🏼
Nice 👍

I love all the builds man

Do you have to add suede? If the car headliner is already the desired color can you just proceed to drilling???
Love this build series. Definitely my favorite on UA-cam. Headliner turned out great!

Headliner is wild ! Great work! Keep rolling!

I swear you make the videos I need right before i want to do something. I love it.
Twinkle boys club
The teenyboppers will just awwwwwww 😂
Look even better every time I see that Banana ram Can’t wait to see it all finished
Yep you’re right most tires shop won’t mount tires. I had to drive a hour away just to have a guy do mine.
Wow that turned out amazing!!
This truck is turning out to be one of my favorite trucks on UA-cam keep up the good work she looks amazing
Love the way you talking about taking the visors out and end up under the truck to start. Lol
But it truly looks awesome!

Starlight roof is a perfect touch for that build!
I’ve been wanting to do a starlight so bad
Looking really good. I like the headliner you put in.
Nice job & maybe a video on the wiring for the starlight headliner in future ?? I have a 15’ ram looking to do this.
I would wrap the pillars too
When are you going to hook the down pipe up in the green truck? Just curious.
Waiting for the vid today and clicked as fast as I could! Keep up the content it’s awesome!!
Just need to do something to those plastic pillars now! Looks dope
That literally turned out so dope 🔥
That headliner is so dope
This thing is beautiful already 🤩
Bout time brotha. Bin waiting all day
Very cool. I definitely do that with my baby Ram 1500 too.
I hope you put the stars in the right order so you can find constellations. 😜
When recovering your original headliner… do you have to use material with foam backing since your keeping the original on???
I did 150 in my truck and it filled it up nicely

@@reggieruss7328 it is! And so rewarding! Then it becomes a lifestyle! Keep it up!

Stars look pretty sweet.
I told you the star light headliner would be so nice. You should do it to your 6.0 Lime with a black suede headliner
Looks steller! I wish you'd of painted the plastic pieces brown to match the headliner, but it's your build. I have been following since you were just about finished with 6 7 Lime.
🤣🤣🤣 Ryan your a funny man🤣🤣🤣 that gorilla glue joke was everything🤣🤣🤣
I want to see Ryan do a lifted dually next
It’s comin!
I’ve got my Megacab headliner out and wondering how long I need the finer optics before I order a kit?
Get it brotha 👍
Be aware Do not use hot glue you can melt the fiber lights and it has happened. Use anything else that isn't heated. Some have used gorilla glue and I also heard what works very well is the JB weld
Use an adjustable glue gun problem solved. It works
@ 7:10 😦 did you just peal that up😂🤣
Man that looks awesome bro, imma be doin mine soon
Don’t fall up those stairs bro and keep it up!🇺🇸
I want to see you do in interior on 6.7 lime
Question what are those stands called?
Use some wire loom to go over the strands between the roof and the floor so you do not have light shining through side panels... wire it to a switch because depending on how bright yours is it can get annoying while driving at night...
Would be cool to do something with that bundle, instead of hiding it behind a panel.. like an acrylic tube integrated into the rear pillar.. nice job!
Hey Ryan! What glue/adhesive did you use for the headliner ???
Love all of your vids bud. Love how u explain what you do and why.
Thank you! Trying to get y’all to get out there and do it to it!
@@ryan2546hey brother how much fabric did you use? Looking into doing mine. Also, was your fabric with foam backing or without. Thanks in advanced
What gorilla glue did you get to hold the fiber optic in place.
Looks so sweet bro. Keep up the good work.
You inspire me to do more for cars I plan on doing this to my car
Lime green leather in the Hellcat would be cool.
Trucks lookin great
That's... unique. Never seen that done before.
Just because you’re a Buckeye fan, I watch all the ads ;)
Install adblocker..and you'll never worry about ads again

Bet I was just bout to do this in my truck thanks for the tips
what adhesive do you recomend

It looks so cool!
What are the measurements of the material when you ordered it?
3 yards
That looks cool! Nice job!
Looks killer!
Awesome job Ryan👍🏼
Where do you get your rims and tires
I believe you can download an app to control the lights, so you don't have to fuss with a remote. The amazon page you linked says it has that capability.
Favorite video and haven’t even watched yet
Bro those sunglasses though!! You going snowboarding
How’d you knoe
😂😂
Where did I order the headliner
I've wanted to do this to my eco diesel
I used one cam for honda use commercial grade
I’m getting this for my truck immediately
SO HOT
What kind of glue did you use for the headliner itself and would you recommend
3m headliner adhesive
The glue and hair joke 🤣
How did you not buy the lime green for Lime?????
What headliner material and from where?
I made a custom hole poker with a twist drill holder and a sharpened piece of piano wire. Much faster than a drill.
So when I go about 70 in my ram, the whole truck starts shaking, I got 35’s, could it be they need to be rebalanced?
Yes, but the tire or wheel could also be out of round!
How much cans of adhesive did you use? (I heard you bought 4)
Coming back to learn how to do a starlight kit and man do I miss BananaRam
Will you show us how you wire it. You said its plugged into an extension cord, so does that mean you have to install qn inverter?
Nooo! I’ll show ya!!!
How you end up power wiring ?
where are you getting your wheels powdered?
what’d you power it to
Ahhhh yes. Who needs sleep? Watching Ryan instead
How did you wire the star light box
Can't wait for the finished build maybe turbo brakes can't wait fortheintior or even more red love your vids
Also I know it already has factory turbo but an aftermarket
Sick as always broski..preciate ya
How long did it take you to do it?
How did you end up wiring it up? I’ve seen people do it but no one says how to wire it up
I will show y’all! Whole interior will be wired at the same time!
@@ryan2546 sweet!
