    Very good , Directly mounted on axle, with out gear, finally and ultimate thing is Permanent magnet high efficiency motors. if it can bear the vibrations/hunting... Oscillations trail should be conducted. If it can with stand, oscillation trail for high speed trains..., it can change the dimensions of the electric traction.

      Interesting remark, Corey. One finds the very term "natural cooling" in the "classification of the cooling methods (IC code) acc. to
      DIN EN 60034-6 and NEMA MG1 part 6". The first is the European/German norm while the latter belongs to the National Electrical Manufacturers Association.
      Even though I've only done a quick search on the net it appears that indeed, NEMA seems to shy away from the term "natural cooling" while it is widely used in European classifications.
      Phantastic video. A tad more information especially on the inverter (DC-link voltage, switching frequency, 3-level-inverter? ...) would be very much appreciated.

    Naah ..I dont think these pmsm motor can produce as torque as induction motors..for same size

      induction motors can eat less from el. capacity and can/are able to have more rpm, but are no match in torque. While, pm motor can have movable shaft to distant the magnets to weaken the mag. field and result would be match in rpm, with similar el. capacity eating. With one more advantage, adjustable torque.
