    Never in my life done body work.... I have a mig welder and I just bought a rusty dusty 72 bronco ranger and I ordered a 4x10 piece of sheet metal.... gonna work on floors first to try and get them solid and learn as I go but I appreciate the knowledge

    Regarding the vertical section of the rear quarter panel, are you able to get any spot welds or self tapers in the upper portion? Or do the welds from above and below secure it enough?
    Also, did you cut those slits in the upper portion of the horizontal section for the welds?

    What brand and size MIG welder are you using? Thanks-Ken

      @soolegarage  Рік тому

      I have the Miller matic 211, best mig welder I have ever used. I love the ability to weld thin body panels and I am able to weld 1/4 inch or frame material.

    Hi Mr soole

    What welder, wire size, and settings are you running?

    • @soolegarage
      @soolegarage  Рік тому

      I use a Miller Matic 211. It has an auto set for material thickness I am mostly welding 18 gauge so I just simply set the dial at 18 gauge. Wire is .030. The welder also has a wire speed setting for the thickness of wire that you’re using really easy to use. I absolutely love this welder, it handles thin metal and can weld up to 3/8 inch thick.
