Also, I chose a loan officer rather than a broker. Thanks, your videos were the best course, cramming I ever did in 3 months. I was more knowledgeable than my Real Estate Agent on a few topics. 😊👍🙏

Hello. I just started my home buying process. I ended up going with remax and go prime mortgage loans. I've been told that once you start your home buying process you have up to 120 days from the first time they run your credit to go ahead and try different mortgage loan lenders without further affecting your credit score. Would this be correct? Sure hope it is so that I am not limited to remax and go prime mortgages in case I am not satisfied with their services.
You have a 30 day window after the initial credit pull to have it pulled by other lenders without affecting your credit. (it only counts as one pull) Now you know, 7 months too late!

I was in the escrow process and fell through. My loan officer said that I was a few points off, meaning that my debts were slightly over my income. He also said that when my child support ends (in 2 months) and pay off the balance on my car I will qualify guaranteed. My child support is only $300 monthly and balance on my car is only $7,000. Now the question is, right after paying off my car and obviously keeping my credit rating good and not adding more debts, can I go back home shopping again? Or is there a time frame I need to wait after the first try? Thank you in advance!

Or are there minimums for loans below which banks aren't interested?
@E. Rez not about that. Mortgage companies specialize in residential loans. It's like saying go to a sports store for your sporting goods or Target. Both may have what you need but not might not meet other people's needs.

Used car salesman are paid commission. Why would that be better for loan brokers?

Not exactly. Fees are higher with brokers but interest rates usually are a lower with brokers.
