I've had mine for coming up to five years. I did at one point do the Helibars conversion which creates a more upright position. The difference was like night and day but after a week I realised that they had robbed the bike of some of its character, so switched back to stock. I have come to realise that BMW wanted to give the rider the true authentic no compromise vintage racer experience and I've come to truly appreciate that and besides if I want long distance comfort, I've got my R1100RS. That said even at 58 years old with a bad back I have no problem spending a day on my Racer. Don't be old before your time.
I agree with almost everything you said except I think this bike is a lot more at home on the open (twisty) road than in a town. On my first test ride I felt at home on mine, each to their own but I don’t want to feel like I’m sitting in an arm chair when I’m riding. The looks are killer and I never expected to have so many members of Joe Public come up to me to talk about the bike. The RnineT range is poorer without the Racer in it 🇬🇧🏍
One of the best looking bikes, but what an awful riding position. I had a 2017, and sold it in less than a year. Sitting in stop and go traffic with this bike is pure torture. I presently have a 2021 R9T-719 model (Black & Silver) which IMO , is better looking when looked at in person.
@@motopathar3914 My Racer was the bike that got the most amount of looks and questions about it. I'm guessing my 2021 will be the same, but thats the problem with getting a new Bike in November in NJ, I have to wait for Spring to ride and show it off again.
@@elithegreat6463 I can only imagine! It was 75 and sunny yesterday and today we had a monsoon which will be followed by 19• weather. AR is crazy year-round but I can typically ride every month.
Best looking bike in the modern classic lineups. by far. But that position... :(... And I have turned my W650 into a caferacer with a fairing like this and even so... not that agressive (you can see it in my ytb channel)

Would it be good investment for future due to very limited production number...hopefully 😀
I believe so personally. Since they aren't making this bike anymore and it is already a classic, I feel that it will only appreciate in value!
Nice review. This was helpful
Thank you! Glad to hear it!
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
obviously you could easily make your tube tires into tubless like i did mines
I looked into it and it seems pretty simple. I do however, love the look of the tubeless spoke wheels from the Scrambler/Urban GS better than mine.
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😘😘😘👍

Agree. They are a thing of beauty but a method of torture as well. Congrats on the 2021! I bet it's gorgeous in person!

Take out a class action- get BMW to do a special limited run of 300 - they’ll sell!
That would be awesome!

Totally! Looks great man!
