as hard as it already is to even FIND these sneaky aps that wont let you uninstall them....there should be laws passed that force all phone makers to build in the phones the ability for phone owner to uninstall what ever they dont want...ALL aps need to be LISTED in settings and made uninstallable. there should not be all this huge hassle to fid them AND not be able to EASILY get rid of them...with just a few clicks
It's strange, very strange how the EU has managed to pass a law supposedly for our benefit over charger cables. But they stubbornly refuse to change how manufactures and android/google are allowed to load our property - the phone - with stuff we really don't need.
It would be like a car manufacturer making the braking system use the same power cable that supplies the radio, and then having the radio on all the time playing the world's worst station at a high volume. You can't turn the radio down or off because the brakes use the same supply.
That seems to be how they're developing essential apps on the phone, so supposedly now, the google store app is essential to run: the camera, the health system, the speech system and a whole other bunch of stuff supposedly needs the google app.
Wrong wrong wrong.
Why do we accept this?
And apps that we can't remove permissions from.
Going back to camera app. It needs bluetooth just in case you want to use a bluetooth microphone.
But how many people actually ever will use a bluetooth microphone when using a smartphone for video?
0.0001% maybe. But the camera won't work without bluetooth permission.
It's all a con, a scam, and we need politicians that are both tech savvy, and not on the take to make google etc stop doing all this stuff

We just need new softwate if not new tech. Software that is free of sht and free of google. Need new platform that does not do this sht. What do you think how fast ppl would move over? Any smart guy wants a challenge?

Redmi is a lot cheaper than other similar phones.
And I assume that using such apps which shove adds down my throat is the key for being cheaper.
Is like facebook, free, but insanely bloated with ads.
So, if legislators will force them to sell clean phones I assume that they will need to raise the price, or find other trick to shove ads.
Literally over half the memory on my phone is taken up by unremovable apps (none of which show up when I go to Settings -> Biometrics and Security -> Other security settings -> Device admin apps, as you suggested), and almost the other half is taken up by system apps. My android is only a couple years old, and its memory is completely compromised by things I don't want, didn't add, and can't uninstall...
Grrr... same here. Want to free up memory space by app deletion. I'm expirementing with different techniques.
Today I plugged phone into USB port of computer by cable. I opened " internal storage" of my phone. Saw the folders. Copied onto flash drive. Now from flash drive I saw all the folders...and am wondering, if I delete the ones that sound like apps I don't want, will that delete the apps?
Can't uninstall UA-cam. I'm pretty cynical as to why. They know it's easy to enable again. They know us addicts will, eventually.

i was thinking this, because why would not having youtube on your phone cause anything else to stop working properly? It's just a huge source of their profits i think
I disabled the youtube app to avoid ads only.
I have to access youtube thru the adblock browser. Hooray. Ad free!!!
Same with instagram, Facebook.
thanks, im using the advanced method featured on the "original article". the instructrions seem straightforward. Hopefully this method works and i wont have to jailbreak my phone to remove these annoying apps that hog system storage.

Didn't see any link close to what you mentioned in the post for removal of apps that cant be removed normally. I disable the trash apps, like the ones that Android no longer uses, and occasionally find them updating themselves. A waste of space and install data. Android customer support only responds, "its more than likely an app your phone uses and needs". That's it...
none of the apps I want to remove show up in any of the methods shown. I can't even revoke admin privileges because it doesn't show up in that list either

Everybody has a video that shows how to disable a bloatware app. But nobody addresses the issue of "Disabling this app may cause your phone to not work right or misbehave." And it will, I have tried. It's like telling somebody they can put their car in reverse and just back up. But not tell you what to do if there is something in the pathway behind the car.
This is why we need completely new devices or completely new software, that is clean. If they will not allow us to use google or youtube, then we need to make new platforms and start copying info from google to the new system. A lot of work, but in sake of freedom it has to be done. To take power away from those slavers.
Just make sure you are not becoming a slaver yourself.

But, the one who put out the money for the phone, owns it. And that person is responsible for it. Since I paid for my phone with my money, I should be able to remove any vital system app I want. I can shower every morning with my phone (sorry for that visual lol) and keep it perfectly clean too. It's a combination of buyer beware and "I can do whatever I want with my property, and if I destroy it? Well that's my problem." Just my opinion of course. Once my money has traded hands for something, I own it.
Samsung probably informed me, somewhere in all that fine print that I very carefully didn't read, that there are certain apps I may not remove. If that's the case, then I can always start shopping around for manufacturers that will let me be more of the control-freak dictator of my mobile device that I believe is part of my right of ownership. Or one of these days I might finally learn how to root a phone. Or maybe just say "screw it all" and get a landline and pick up a novel and a hobby.
@@TCBElvisAPresley Has anyone ever told you that you've lost your friggin mind? It all seems to be about "The Lie" now days and the government wants to control every aspect of your life. You can never have control over anything because when you do get control over something then the powers that be (the government) finds out they make it illegal to do. Enjoy the new revolution in life where your life isn't your own to rule over. Sit down and make 2 lists. One list is of the things you can do without government rules, and the second list of things that happen when you do the things that don't have a government rule over it. Take for instance watch a tv program (or movie) and think about it... Your choice? But it's in a home (house) on property that you only think you own. Property that has been in your family for decades upon decades, however, miss your property tax one time and you'll see exactly who owns that property.
Haven't tried this yet, sure hope it works. So frustrating, my phone has almost no internal storage remaining. Already deleted all the unwanted apps I could, but still a lot remaining that I never use (TikTok, Amazon, etc.) and no way to delete these! I can't even update my phone's internet because it says there isn't enough space!
It's a sht, the companies doing that are fkng parasites
A tip you can use for finding that admin option is to search "app" in the settings search bar if you don't seem to find it :D

I installed an app from zip file wich has bunch of apk fonts and that app is just invisible, it won't showing in menu as well in setting but it is installed on system I'm trying to uninstall but i can't find it anywhere. I tried to install it again an update pop-up shows wich indicates app is installed.
If I were to uninstall UA-cam with the adb method, would that affect my phone at all?

Please please can you help me. When I want to look at Daily Mail online, I go to Google, type in Daily Mail, and ut says App Installed, but when I press Daily Mail, it takes me to the page that says Install App?

That's odd cuz I have CC also & had a TMobile sim but in Dec CC must have gotten a huge resale contract with ATT cuz they got rid of TMobile Which I never had a problem however ATT installed it's own software on my device permissions don't matter as long as they have a signature & certificate they can force install software! I'd pay 100$ a month to go back to my non Android 3G no data needed flip phone! They screwed us & the Federal Government has okayed it over $

What if my phone is almost entirely made up of third party apps and i cant delete them? Then what can i do? And I've tried many things, they just keep coming up. Please help .
My phone doesn't have that biometrics category, tho I found is corresponding processor, found device admin apps, and literally there's no apps in it lol, which is frustrating because I have shyt like UA-cam music, google tv ect, stuff that I'll literally NEVER use and it just takes up space that I actually need for video files. Knox is linked to a hardware feature of Samsing phones, so I really wouldn't recommend it.
if you do, it permanently blows a fuse which then stops you EVER loading updates for security etc.
Not that knox is secure anymore.
Any saw the news a while ago, seems samsung allowed some crook to just walk away with the code for knox, so all samsung phones could be compromised.

My Pixel 8 Pro has zero bloatware. Very happy. My Samsung phones have samsung apps with full access to everything and you cannot disable, change permissions, or delete them.

I'm trying to Uninstall Gmail app from my OnePlus 9 Pro. Any help would be appreciated.
It only has in admin apps find my device.Then when I find it it only has erase all data or lock the screen. The factory puts things like Gmail that I never ever use or will ever. But I can't get those types of things off. I did disable but want it off.

I did the command, and at first I was confused, because it stated that there was no app/device(?) or emulator found in the command prompt (in my words; from what I remember). So, I double checked by searching the app on my device, and it said, "there is no app named 'app name' "
So when it stated that there wasn't 'app name' in the command prompt on my pc, I guess it wasn't wrong!! 😂
P.S.,
in my own words, this would be, "Error: Success!" 🤣

Yeah... Xiaomi just pulled some crap and installed something called Bougues app cloud and theres no damned way to get rid of it... its been constantly spamming up my notifications and installing random shit without my permission...
I had an app that didnt have admin priv but still wouldn't uninstall. I had to click on App details in store and had to uninstall it from the store.

samsung phones like apples have an electronic fuse that 'blows' if you EVER root the phone. Then you're barred from downloading any future security updates even if you then return the phone to normal but with the offending bloat removed.
It's just a way of locking us into their ecosystem for life.
We need information as to how to safely root a device so we're not at greater risk of bugs and viruses
