MS Dhoni says the same data can be used to arrive at two diametrically opposing conclusions. That's somewhat true if you don't know how to interpret the data. Cricketers should do the playing and analysts should do the data interpreting. Pdogg is one of the best at this.
In the last 3 years, in those who played at least 10 tests for India, no one has an average over 50, with the top most being Pant (47.00) and the others in the top 5 being Shreyas Iyer, Rohit Sharma, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja. None of the top order has scored for quite a while and expecting the team would win is never going to happen. Other than winning in Australia, the team has not won a series in SA or Eng or NZ.

Whatever we say about players performance before fame , the trend will continue as money plays more important role than winning titles. Players continue to get richer even though they lose continuously. Unless we find raw talents and groom them, there is no hope for Indian cricket. And IPL should be for a month , not two months. Prepare pitches that last for five days in tests. Bilateral wins are nothing when you can’t win any ICC titles. Worried and upset Indian fan. In my POV: I would say selectors should have better thinking and analytics to win ICC tournaments. In this case there are tons of domestic players who might be skillful in overseas conditions. So we should groom fresh openners with experience on the other hand and we need a skillful bowlers who should be prepared only for icc events or he should play for one particular format but he should be lethal in all conditions then only we can expect to win in ICC events.
Indian team lacked energy, intent and team coordination to win the title whereas Australian team was title-hungry and outplayed us in all departments

#AskPdogg....We are badly missing left hand batsmen like Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina, Gambhir, Dhawan and Dada........Who all can be groomed well apart from Rishab Pant and Jadeja.......Can they groom Jaiswal as an opener, Rinku and Axar Patel as proper middle order batsmen........Left hand batsmen are always important.......During 2007 T20, 2011 ODI WC and 2013 CT we had good number of left handers which was a very big advantage for us.....Your thoughts please sir....
Good question, how to repair Indian test team.
First and formost - Remove Rohit from test team. He has dream, but not process, no patience.. He is not best for test captain.
Put Rahane as captain for test.
Odi captain - Rohit / pandya.
T20 - Pandya.
Ashwin must play. Shahul thakur out, bhumara, shami & siraj to play as pace attack
Can you please make a video on the tactics used by boland , cummins combo? They pitched the ball regularly at same length (just short of good length). Cummins deliberately hit the deck hard faster creating minute depression spots while boland bowled slow swinging deliveries which when hitting on the depression spots bounced low. Please Correct me if i am wrong.
It seemed they bowled in a way that made the pitch look like it was two paced.

A very confused captain and coach.
They drop the #1 test bowler,
They play a T20 WC SF conservatively,
They play a test match asking their batsmen to play aggressive t20 style. A bstsman who has been scoring heavily in county cricket while playing his game is now playing a ramp!! shot.
The opener who scored a text book century on English soil helping his team take a 2-1 series lead is now playing an across the line risky dabble shot on a flat pitch.
After playing a classical innings uptil then, the most experienced batter succumbs to the age old sucker ball when leaving any and every ball outside the 4th stump was the order of the day.
All this esp. when a draw gets you the trophy and a lot of rain in the forecast for next 2 days.
A tactically confused coach and captain. They are not sure what they're doing clearly.

Pdogg why not play leggie in the permanent playing 11 of the indian test team we have quality leggies we rattle the opponent in the day 4 and 5 not only in india but in all conditions using the rough. We have seen shane warne. Someone like kuldeep yadav could become night mare for all the teams. Dont you think if aus had kuldeep yadav they would drop lyon and definitely play him in 11 bcoz they re not playing a leggie bcoz they couldn't produce a good one after warne.
