- Thambi is an upcoming Indian Tamil-language action thriller film directed by Jeethu Joseph, starring Karthi, Jyothika and Sathyaraj in the lead roles. The film has been produced by Viacom 18 along with Parallel Mind Productions. It is scheduled to release in December 2019. Jyothika Saravanan is an Indian actress who predominantly appears in Tamil films. She also acted in some Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi films. She debuted in Bollywood in the Hindi film Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, directed by Priyadarshan.

*Actor Bala was really good in this film.* I've seen his films and most have him play action type roles or as the handsome villain. But in this film, he played the role of childhood friend of Karthi superbly. That last scene with Karthi, where he's confused, angry, sad and asks Karthi what wrong he's done, other than be a good friend to him,... he really takes the scene. He has proved he can do emotional scenes very well. I think him and Sathyaraj should have been in film promotions as well. Those 2 really made the film worth the watch.
*Jyothika still needs to learn to act naturally, rather than act dramatically and over exaggeratedly. She has taken it down couple of notches, but still needs to mellow it down more.* Her character in this film might require such stoic portrayals, but still she needs to stop over expressing with her eyebrows and eyes too much (yea I know most females do that, and some say it is one of the tools of an actor...i agree, for an actor yes, but not to an actress).
*Karthi was good in the movie. He didn't overdo or overact like he used to do in his other films.* Maybe because this film wasn't like his other usual, mundane action films. This is a good change for him. He needs to do more films like these. It will make him evolve as an actor.
*Satyaraj was spectacular. This guy is unstoppable.* Unlike other veteran actors whose yesteryear movies were better than the recent ones, in Satyaraj's case, it is the polar opposite. His acting in the movies now are so splendid than the older ones.
*Jeethu's a very good director. He is a writer- director, so his films have that feel of reading a book.* But we haven't seen him at his best. He has yet to prove his prowess. Eagerly waiting for his future films.
*AND YES, NO UNWANTED SONGS (again helps the budget), NO STUPID DANCES, NO MORONIC OR DISTASTEFUL "JOKES". Thank God. I was able to enjoy the film with family, without squirming in my seat.*
*BTW, Ain't anyone got any questions for that one actress sitting in the right corner? They kept on asking the same questions again and again, like a broken record, but couldn't ask one question to that artist. Treat all equally. Do the media people have any decency? I'm glad most people here feel the same. Good!*
Never mind the males, what about the female media persons? Where did your feminism go? Not even you can do anything for your own kind? Or perhaps you want Men to do things for you, like always (oh yea, feminism itself was started by Men right...I forgot). No wonder you lots remain impoverished and weak. Women empowerment my a**. First learn to respect others, or at least your own kind and be humble.

To India Glitz- "Treat everyone equally". We accept Karthi and Jyothika are famous and have fun filled memories. But Nikhila too played a good role in Thambi movie and a sweet actress too, avangakitta kekuraku onnumey illaya. Paakura yengaluku theriyuthu, set la irrukura orrutharuku koodava theriyala ? Indha video va yenda paathom nu irrukudhu !
