    I like the last part. That’s found in a lot of traditional Southern Shaolin Kung Fu. That’s a Tiger grab but more like wrist grab and break. You can seriously break a persons wrist and arm and dislocate by that 45 degree angle torque. Anybody caught with that is finished. I like this type of training. It strengthens your wrist and hips.

    • @c.l.368
      @c.l.368 Рік тому

      "anybody caught by this is finished".... Bro Kung Fu is a joke, it's more of a dance than a martial art, so many superfluous useless movements and techniques, if you really want to learn to fight forget Kung Fu, it's for frauds and old ppl

    • @gmork1090

      Kung Fu, lol.

    • @TheHailstorm77
      @TheHailstorm77 Рік тому +13

      @@gmork1090 well he’s doing it slow but when you actually apply it, you’re supposed to snap your hips like throwing a quick power jab or a hook. And of course using your Dan Tien to excrete power. Also the back leg snaps too. Power is borrowed from ground up like a torque motion. Baseball swing has this similar function. Maximum power with less energy. Hips and back leg. If done correct and all in one motion, it’s like a vortex vacuum BAM! Less than 10 seconds flat, arm is snapped and pulled out socket and wrist broken. Opponent won’t see that coming and you cannot react or pull away fast enough if he grabs your arm. Love tiger! You can literally pull an arm out of the socket and pop the elbow bone out and crack the forearm and wrist when this applies in real life. The bow and arrow stance helps deliver this if you southpaw and horse stance if facing opponent. Either way, that’s why Kung Fu is the art of deception. May look like funny animal styles but when it gets really applied in light sparring or demo you can actually see the application. This is why somethings are meant to kept secret. Monkey style is even worse too!
      Seen some crazy shit at real KF tournaments and saw some real animal styles no joke! Teet Da Jao or Snake Oil is used for a reason! Lol 😂 those that know know that traditional KF is no joke!

      @TheHailstorm77 people like to make fun of martial arts (especially Karate and Kung Fu) but I think really you're learning all these moves (forms and katas, whatever) so that the one time when your suddenly attacked you reflexively react and execute the right, single, move or short sequence to disable your attacker or neutralize the attack and escape (or whatever).
      My point being that if you're proficient, the scenario is over very quickly (win or lose) - i.e. there's no extended classic martial arts movie type fight which is what people think those who study martial arts are preparing for and make fun of. So, katas/forms and even sparring are not simulations of actual self defense.
      Do you agree?
      I (think I) know that in true non sport Karate, for instance, the ideal is to be able to "instantly" disable the opponent.

      @@miss.maroon2249 try running, if not jogging good for legs and core muscles. Then there are lunges, squats and all the rest of the leg muscle oriented exercises. Then you can progress to doing them at ur local junior College bleachers. Thats what i did with my brother without ever having to pay for a membership or lift a single weight. Of course the alternative has its advantages as well. Good luck! And keep at it, that is the most important thing. 👆

      Grips are ok for strength but they create a dull slow strength. You first feel the resistance then you slowing increase your grip until you overcome the resistance.
      His method increase explosive power not to mention speed, agility and dexterity. As a bonus you establish the mind body connection developing technique through repetition of the movements. He's using a small log but you could easily substitute it with sandbags, kettle bells or small dumbbells increasing the weight as your strength grows.
      This is far superior than grips for developing technique for self defense.
