If you're freeze mage maybe...

I think cards like flame leviathan would be played a lot more if there was a reliable way to draw them. Something like "Discover 3 cards from your deck, put the one you choose on top of it" would work wonders. Do it blizz

+Warren Graham the real problem, IMO, is that flame leviathan is a legendary for its effect. If you could have two it would be a solid card for decks that draw fast.

There's a yellow glow if a condition is fulfilled for the card. Example: kill command glows yellow if you have a beast.

He meant the glowing in the review at the beginning of the video. Whenever he mentions a card, it's shown on the screen. For the last week they've had a glow around them that matches their rarity, with basic cards having a red glow.
Why is Sea Reaver bad? It's a boulderfist that enrages your minions, spawns patrons, gives you armor, draws you cards from acolyte of pain, and makes frothing a 98746/3. I thought the only reason nobody played it is because it's an epic.
Because you can't control it its so random.... Makes the card inconsistent and useless

A useful legendary for controls deck could be something along the line of "when you draw this card, summon a 1/1 minion for each minion more that your opponent controls more than you"

One card type that I actually play is Miracles. Miracles are cards that say "if this is the first card you drew this turn" which is proceeded by a cheap cost for an otherwise amazing effect. Similarly if they did this with HS, something like "when you draw this card, it costs 4 less this turn" would be awesome.

I would love to eventually see a deck made entirely of draw mechanics like that, with the ability to cycle cards from your hand or the field back into your deck.

Hey Kripp could you make a video in which you show your drafting process?
Against the paladin guy, Cbom, he kept complaining that his opponent only played high mana cost/late game cards. But when his opponent drew 2 secrets in a row and shitty cards after that, altho Kripp kept getting good value cards, he didn't even bat an eye.
I enjoyed this video a lot! made me laugh and smile, thank you kripp you just made my day :D
Really agree with the opening comments about cool card effects being under utilized. Like how about making Nozdormu's effect for a single turn on a card? Call it like a Bronze Flight Whelp or something as a 4 mana minion with a battlecry that makes only the next turn for opponent end in 15 seconds.

I just had a Flame Leviathan arena run last night too, it came up at insane times and won me a few games.
I actually really like Leviathan conceptually. I run it in Freeze Mage, and yeah it _sometimes_ kills you through Ice Block, but IMO the free board clear is cool enough to be worth the risk. If the card simply dealt 2 damage to all enemies (which I think it should, given its legendary rarity), it would be one of my favourite cards in the game.
I wouldn't mind if it was just 2 damage to all minions. The fact that it hits your face is just annoying
Hey Kripp what would you say about a Card that has good lategame value but you can't mill it. Or a Card that is very Good in early but you can't have it on your starting hand.

I was drafting a mage arena deck the other day and i got to choose between; Flame Leviathan, Archmage Antonidas or Rhonin. Not sure if seeing all 3 mage's legendary on the same row is rare but i took a picture of it :p I took Antonidas

Today is not the day Kripp became an hero.
This relates to your video yesterday on the "Balance of Power." The only reason that Flame Leviathan and other high mana cards aren't played is due to the AGGRO meta dominating Hearthstone constructed. Change the HP to 40 or even 50? Meta will change and Leviathan becomes viable.

I know this is a really old video, but does anyone know why Eye for an Eye didn't pop when Azure Drake hit it? Also it's pretty interesting that Eye for an Eye used Darkscale Healers original 4 damage value instead of 1

azure drake hits face, eye for an eye activates and deals 4 dmg (from azure drake's 4 dmg), then darkscale attacks
this kind of mechanic would work, if, like in Magic, we have noather ability to put 1 card from our hand on top of our library.
That way, you draw it, then play a battlecry "Put 1 card from your hand on top of your library"
It's bad, because you skip a draw, but you can do 2 damage on the board when you need.
The battlecry card should have great stats, to be worth playing on its own.
i did add Flame leviathan to my mech mage deck and seved me a quite few times . most of the time it was vs shaman murlock deck and most of the time they just gived up

I'm usually in the process of losing, so a card that helps me fuck up everything and everyone is a 100% positive addition to any deck. If I die, at least there's gonna be fireworks at my funeral.
The level of difficulty of trying to keep the mouse pointer on Kripp's nose is just too damn high!

?? If this card started in my hand it would just has no side effects, and the only 2 mana card that could remove this thing i can recall is flamecannon, which is a mage exclusive card. The enemy would spend like 2-3 minions and 2-3 turns to kill it, meanwhile you're building your board and winning the game.
Totem golem is a 2 mana card with 1 mana overload and its already pretty OP.
Your so stupid, why don't you might as well make a 1 mana 4/7 deal 10 damage to your hero, opponent draws 2 *worthless* cards

That leviathan draw vs the Druid was disgusting. Pure, straight disgusting.
I really like flame leviathan, that mechanic is so cool. Along with Iron Juggernaut I would actually say it's among my favorite legendaries. Just a shame they are so weak, especially now they're only playable in wild, but I still enjoy using them.

I once went 12-2 in Arena because my opponent (whose deck was ridiculous) hit me for 10 with a Grommash when I had Eye for an Eye on the field. Best secret ever.

You should do a "how good is Foe Reaper 9000", i dont understand why it is not played.
Its too slow and doesnt do anything while played - problem with most legend. Plus i think there is just better card for example rag, dr boom ysera or even arch thief rafam

I love flame leviathan for the RNG effect i think it could good in freeze mage and average in arena imo ( not a seasoned arena player tbf) but it has changed a few games for me but overall flame leviathan is pretty bad as it gives away its in your hand so the draw mechanic better be worth it I packed flame leviathan a few days ago and just left it time to try it out fully
