We have a tight budget for a high traffic area, it might be a cheaper oriental rug is better for us? How would the durability compare, say with a bamboo silk Pakistani Tabriz compared with an authentic wool one?
Thank you for providing this resource it’s demystifying the industry for me

Would you please do a video or a comment about the Carpet/ Rug rug hanging behind you with the Horses? Plus should we be calling these Persian pieces of textile art, Carpets or Rugs? I love your channel glad it was in my algorithm

      Hi,
Chances are I may have already have a video in which I feature the rug with the horses, but I honestly don't know which rug with horses you are referring to. There are several of them...
As to naming them rugs or carpets, I have learned that it depends on where you are. In the US, we call them rugs, but in many countries where English is not the native language I have learned that the more understood word is carpet.

Hi how can buy from iran to England.

      Hi,
I'm assuming that you are asking if you can ship Iranian rugs from Iran to the UK and I would suggest that you check with the customs office in the UK. We have had clients in the UK that have purchased Iranian carpets from us in the past, but since Brexit there has been a lot of changes and I would advice you to check with there.
      Hope this is of help.

Hi Thanks. I wonder what the difference between Iran and Kashmir rugs? I think Kashmir rug is also Persian Rug, and very famous for its good quality silk.

      Hi,
The Kashmir rugs are very much like the Persian rugs from Iran, but there is a difference in the type of silk as well as weaving method. If you look at some of videos about the Kashmir rugs, you will see me explaining them in more detail and the main difference is that Kashmir rugs are typically made with a silk pile and cotton foundation whereas the fine Iranian rugs are made with a silk foundation and typically have fine wool with silk with the exception of the pure silk Qum rugs of course. I for one would have no problems calling the Kashmir rugs Persian, but I know from experience that there are lots of folks who would strongly disagree with us...

Thanks for the video. I want to ask 1 thing about knotting style.
As I heard, Persian carpet is double knot and Iranian carpet is single knot.
They say double knot type is much better in durability and there're only good benefit in double knot.
I don't believe it's all true because they were selling Persian carpet.
Could you tell me your opinion about this.
Is double knot weaving is always better than single knot?
That would mean Persian carpet is better than Iranian carpet?

      Hi,
If you look at my videos, most of them are about Persian rugs and that basically means that they are about Iranian rugs. For many, Persian = Iranian...
The thing in regards to Persian rugs is that they are typically made with 2 kinds of knots. Persian knot, which is a single knot and a Turkish knot, which is a double knot. Both are found in Persian rugs and therefore you can say that both are found in Iranian rugs...
The important thing is that when you look at a rug, look at where it is actually made and that will tell you whether it is Persian (iranian) or not.
      Hope this help...

Hi , double knot is a kind of cheating in weaving carpet and it doesn't have the same strong as the single knot . The point of double knot is that it cost less money to be done . The material that they use is much less . I hope that i could pass the information in right way .

The peshavari ones the faded ones uses natural dies. Besides the balochi rugs are not specific to Iran. In Pakistan there is 2wice as much balochi area and they don't make carpets in balochi deigns but shawls suits too.

Oh no no no, Oriental rugs are garbage but a question, why they steal Persian design😂?
Do not have they any idea? Cannot they make a design on their own?
Why these people always steal from others or copy😂😂😂?

Pakistan designs are totally different from Persian. Pakistani kashikari is different then Persian. It is inspired by mughals but using Pakistan floral
