They put too much string materials on the tuning pegs on mine. The brace coming off was on the interior of the back of the instrument. So, it was clearly visible from the soundhole without an endoscopic camera. Thanks for the review.
It was easy to remove the strings and reinstall them with less excess. That fixed the tuning for me. But the brace coming unglued with the "return" factor. Hopefully yours is ok.@@richdavis4007
I am also glad that I resisted buying this ukulele. I would rather pay an extra $30 for a total of ~ $60 price-point & get a better quality ukulele. I prefer to buy fewer ukuleles, but better quality. But, not real expensive, which I absolutely can't afford. Ukuleles are a good bargain. I looked at the price of some other instruments. I am glad that I don't play other instruments. Too expensive for me.😢
I knew it was not going well when the first thing you were praising was the strap. But what do we expect at that price. I would use the uke to practice improvements like changing and trying different strings, working on the action, etc.. Maybe paint or stain it.
I actually think pretty well of this deal, but competition among tenor ukuleles in my collection is too keen to give this one much of a chance. I just listed it for sale locally on FB marketplace, and I expect to sell it before Christmas. If I needed the experience working on ukes or especially installing strap buttons, this, as you say, would be perfect! This would be good to give a kid with a history of not following through . . . ho ho. That was me back in the day!😊😊😊😊
Oh! Suzanne Song I love that song cowboy friend I love banjos I remember in popular mechanics it came out how to make one with a can of sweet potato ducle
I don't doubt I have a bargain. Strings are doing what they need to. I explain how I stretch them in this mornings video. Thanks for your view and comment. Rich😊😊😊😊

I wound and wound and wound so I guess we had the same issue there. Thanks for explaining about the brace coming off. I'm glad it was visible.😊😊

Once they were tightened, no problem. I kept tightening throughout the day. Strings are much better after a few hours.
Mine had so much extra string on them they'd just slip. @@richdavis4007
Good point!
Thanks for reviewing this, I was awfully tempted to buy this on. Just as well I resisted!
If you can afford paying more, I'd do it. 😊😊

I have done as you requested. Thanks! Rich
You need to look up how to stretch strings. You have a real bargain.
