My favorite time of the year is summer. Full of sunshine and flowers in bloom
Great video, Sheri. I particularly appreciated your detailed suggestions about how to personalize cross stitch projects. Wonderful! Thank you!
Thank you, Sharon!
Another great episode. I love your encouragement to make your stitching the way you like it.💕🌷
Summer. Oh, I’m so glad you showed personalizing the cat square. I have the pattern for the dog square and have many loving names to put on the bottom. ❤️🐶❤️
On January 22nd of this year I watched a Flosstube from Europe and on that episode she showed American Homes. I snapped a picture of one of the prettiest pieces I’d ever seen. I was amazed and delighted when that pattern was shown by you today and I immediately placed an order for that pattern from your shop. I honestly didn’t think I would ever find that pattern, so thank you, thank you!!!
That's a fun story! I'm so glad you were able to get it and I want to see a picture when you finish!
@@ColoradoCrossStitcher Finish!!?? We are supposed to finish our things? I will happily send you a picture.
@@cathybortz1779 Well, there is no time limit on when the finish happens. ;-)
@@ColoradoCrossStitcher Amen!
Ok I just stopped everything to tell you the crowns and shields you are doing just made me sigh!! I actually bought that chart for that one. Loved the colors and seeing yours is so motivating it’s just gorgeous! Thanks for the massive enabling to get going on this!!
Isn't that gorgeous? I absolutely love it and am anxious to get back to working on it!
So many wonderful and useful ideas shared. I read your email and saved it but seeing examples was helpful. Thank you!
This has been my favorite video of yours. I love samplers, but with a little one it would take me 5 years to finish one. I'm starting a small group of motifs tonight thanks to you!
Small motif pieces are so fun to work on. I'm glad you're doing that!
I like both fabric and vinyl. I just like all the different project bags.😊 Summer Cross Stitch Camp sounds fun!
How gracious You are to remind us “we don’t need permission to add our own diversity to stylize our cross stitch work”….. loved loved the “ address cross stitch” at age 72 plus this one just tickled my fancy……
Well - I think sometimes we get to thinking "we shouldn't" and really, we should make the changes we want to see in our own stitching!
So informative. Thank you so much
Spring is my favorite season but summer is a close second. I love all project bags but especially the fabric ones with handles. Thank you for sharing!!!
I purchased my very first project bag just several months ago after seeing so many folks on floss tube using them. I really do enjoy the ones with the vinyl on the front so that I can see the progress on what I’m stitching. This will be a very different summer for me as I am just finishing my career in education after 25 years and looking forward to having more time to stitch and to also play with my 5 GRAND daughters!
Happy Retirement, Sharon!!
I can’t wait for the Summer Cross-stitch Camp!
My current favorite bag is one I received from Fat Quarter Shop. It is fabric which is my preference. This is something I want to make for myself soon.
Thanks for all the great information. I am saving it so I can go back and listen again. You go the extra mile for us and is so appreciated. Summer. Thanks again Rhonda in North Dakota 😊
Another great video with lots of beautiful stitching! Appreciate the ideas for personalization. Summer is busy around here
Wow, Sheri! What a great Flosstube! Your ideas for personalizing and altering patterns were really inspirational. I will be doing the camp, and I think the Little Pink Bird of Stitchiness just might be my favorite badge. I love flower gardening in the summer. My favorite style of project bag is the vinyl front with a narrow band of fabric at the bottom & big enough for my pattern slip inside. Thank you!
Thanks, Laurie! (Also - Happy Birthday!!)
I like the bags with the vinyl window so I can see what's inside.
So many great ideas in this video. So glad Summer is getting here. I think my favorite is the clear front bags. Easy to see what’s inside.
Thank you for showing your examples for personalizing patterns and giving the OK for making changes. I am looking forward to summer and love the gnome bag. It is awesome. Have a great time with your Maynia projects.
I'm so happy that you're going to start carrying 100/3. As always, love your videos.
Yes! Just as soon as we can figure out how to store and display them!
After a crazy winter, I am so looking forward to summer. Love the 2 new designers you have brought into the shop.
The summer gnomes bags are precious for summer projects on the go.
I love your summer bag! A bag with the vinyl is great to be able to see your project. I sew enjoy your u tubes. There are so many I have purchased that you have shown but now need the time to do. Thank you Carol lundberg
Thank you for such a great Flosstube!!! 😊❤ I only have vinyl front bags. I love to see what's in the bag without opening it. I also love summer gnomes!!!
Oh, a bird! I’ve been going nuts over all the birds!
My first time watching your floss tube. You are delightful. I feel I'm setting across from you at your table as you talk about your passion. Thank you.
Well, that would be fun - having you sitting at the table with me! :-) So glad you found me and thanks for watching.
I felt like we are birds of a feather when you announced this Summer Camp challenges. I am tickled pink! I am the one still using ziplock bags for my projects and am a semi-monogamous stitcher. The German patterns are intriguing. Then you showed the PA Quaker Pinkeep Drum and talked about personalization. My paternal grandmother was German, her family immigrated to PA and my dad played the drums. I am going to stitch this for my dad. My sister and I are taking a Rhine RIver Cruise next summer so now I want to stitch one of the German patterns. Thank you for another great packed video.
That will be a fun pattern for you to stitch, then! Love that you're taking a river cruise - I've always wanted to do that!
I prefer vinyl window to see my projects since I have a few summer ones.
Looking forward to summer camp. I believe we are finally getting to be warm and maybe summer will follow. Love all your ideas and new things in the shop.
I always look so forward to your videos. Thank you for sharing your stitching and wonderful ideas. Happy stitching.
I love your videos too!
@@ColoradoCrossStitcher ❤️
I am excited about camp! Great video. I love the summer bag, especially, because I love gnomes.
Summer
I prefer the all fabric project bags. Theyre lovely and problem free.
Thank you so much for all the wonderful personalization ideas!
Thank you for all your creativity. I have mostly quilted bags, but the few I have with a see thru vinyl front I prefer. It's going to be a great summer!
I prefer project bags with vinyl fronts so I can see what's inside. And I'm definitely ready for summer to be here!
I love your friend pieces. Look forward to summer camp.
I am doing samplers for family members as well. I like having themes for my bags. My camp bag has camping on it. Love the Summer stitch camp.
I enjoy your videos each time I see one . Thank you for creating them. I love project bags especially the fabric ones Vinland are fun to. I’m looking forward to summer camp now that we know the prompts I’ll be looking at birds. It’s going to be another great camp.
While I like the project bags with vinyl because it is easy to see what the pattern is, I also get concerned with the paper patterns sticking to the vinyl. So lately, I have been purchasing all fabric bags. Looking forward to summer camp!
You have so many beautiful patterns! It’s going to be hard to pick just one! My top two floss tubers are Stitching with the Housewives and GaRon Stitchery. Thank you ! Have a beautiful Mother’s Day!
I finish for clients. Happy to finish for you. I have references. My Busy Needle. 🤗
Please email me your info - I'd love it!
What a wonderful video! So many ideas and so much inspiration. Love all the ideas for personalizing our stitching. Miss Sherri, you are awesome!
Thanks for watching, Faerie!
Project bag with vinyl fronts and accessories.
My favorite project bag is the vinyl front. It's easy to see your SUMMER stitching! Thank you for all your knowledge about changing patterns to make them your own. Love your flosstubes!
Your framed pieces are gorgeous! I prefer a fabric project bag. Thank you for having the Summer Camp challenge! See you there.
Thank you, Lisa!
I love making project bags! Mine are all fabric - no vinyl, and quilted with hand-stitched binding! I just love making them for my goodies! I'm so looking forward to Summer Camp!! So many project ideas! Thank you for hosting these camps! They're just wonderful! 😊
Love the video. It really surprises me in some of the groups I'm in, that people are scared to change anything in their piece. Change it, make it your own, there are no rules!! I love summer, and I'm really going to try to make it to summer camp this year!
I never had a vinyl project bag. I only have the envelope stile which I make myself. summer 🌻🌻🦋🦋
We've jumped to summer here in South Carolina because in 2 days it's gone from a high of 62 to 80s. My favorite bag is one that has a handle.
I like the project bags that have a vinyl in the front so I can see what's in it. Summer is here already.
Summer camp sounds like fun!
I like my project bags to have a vinyl front. Can’t wait for summer to be here. That means the pool water will be a nice temperature.
I like any kind of project bag, I make both in my shop, but I think I am a bit partial to vinyl front bags. I like to see what is in it. I am so excited for Summer Camp! The summer gnome bag is the cutest thing I have seen!
We got a touch of summer with temperatures in the high 70's. I love your videos and stitching information.
I like them all. I make the all fabric bags. But love the vinyl front ones because you ca see your project. The bag is beautiful. Can’t wait for summer camp. My mind is going all over the place.
Ha - I always feel like that after watching FlossTube. I've learned I can't watch them right before bed because I get all hepped up! 😂
I like project bags easy to carry. I like your ideas to personalize your cross stitch. Summer is just around the corner.
Summer is fast approaching. Great info today. Thank you. Fabric bags is my fav. You can put tags on them but there’s not two alike. There your kids.
Summer is on the way! I like either type of bag. I am more careful with the vinyl if I am going to be having it in the sun or excess heat. Great information as usual. So much Inspiration!
I like all project bags especially the summer one! It’s so bright & cheery. 😊
I look forward to your videos every time you post one. You give so much interesting information about so many cross stitch topics and projects. If I did just two it would keep my summer busy! I really don’t have any project bag preference I love hem all.
Thanks for watching, Ann!
I loved personalising my farms at Hawk run hollow now it’s a special piece. Summer. I like all sorts of bag styles.
Thank you for so many great customization ideas. I hope to do some this SUMMER when working on my projects.
Oh that summer bag would be perfect for cross stitch camp. I love all the types of project bags. Great video!
The jewelry box conversion was gorgeous. I sure enjoy your creativity. Wonderful stitching projects. Enjoy your video!!
Thank you, Catherine!
I like my project bags to be standardized in size. My weird-sized bags get on my nerves. 🤣😉 I am looking forward to summer cross-stitch camp, and even though I have weeks of travel planned-I always make time for stitching. ❤
Weeks of travel sounds fun!
I am looking forward to our Cross Stitch Camp this summer!
Summer
👍🏽🪡
If you hear of a rule….you don’t have to follow it…..Love this…..this is my new rule for stitching. Because of you I have started buying patterns I love, but find thinking of stitching very daunting, But I can pull out my favorite elements to make whatever I want. Thank you for that. My favorite project bags are the ones I make for myself. The type changes as I see new ideas on instagram. Right now my favorite are the ones that use up tattered handkerchiefs from my Dad’s handkerchiefs collection. Blessings and take care. Summer
Oh, what a fun thing to use for your project bags. I love that!
Project bags: I make my own, I’ve go with vinyl front, quilted, covered bosil and just fabric. I made all kinds of sizes, but when I started kitting up all my charts I bought about 30 A4 bags that are a polymer with mesh from Amazon, just to store them. Recently I was watching Birget (The Wishing Thorn) and she mentioned that storing hand dyed fabrics in plastic could have an effect on the fabric (chemical reaction). The vinyl front, I quickly stopped before because I noticed that the printing on the chart was coming off on the vinyl. So I’m going back cloth only and I’ll add either a clear business card pouch, or pictured zipper pull on the outside. Since I’m a quilter also I can use orphaned blocks or whatever I want to make the bags pretty. Glad to see you back. Looking forward to camp. Take care till next time.
Orphaned quilting blocks are so pretty on project bags!
Wow! You are so full of good ideas. Thank you for all that goodness!
Thanks for watching!
What a beautiful video. Beautiful patterns AND stitching. Quaker stitching lovely and interesting.📗🌷🌷
I feel like I’ve sat through a fabulous class. I love it. Thank you. Summer
I'm so glad it was helpful!
Thanks for another great flosstube Sherri. Always so informative. I prefer vinyl front project bags but have both. Summer. 🌺🌷💕❤️
I so enjoy your FT. You have such wonderful advice to make stitches our own. To have only been back to stitching so few years what an amazing group of works - and you made it all your own family history. Awesome stitching. Thanks
SUMMER! I have only fabric. Never had one with vinyl. They are cute
Summer tends to be cool and foggy where I live and I love it. I like all projects especially if I didn’t have to make them!
I really enjoyed your lovely flosstube! Summer Camp sounds very fun, but life has been a little rugged this year without a lot of extra time. I will for sure follow along. Sure hope to visit your store some day!!
We're happy to have you follow along, and I hope it brings joy and inspiration to your summer, Lisa!
Hello! I'm super excited about summer camp this year. It is always so much fun 😊. My favorite type of project bag has the vinyl front. I like to see what's in the bag with a quick glance.
Summer plans include taking a break as a family before the busy part of the year for my husband. Thanks for sharing and reminding us to make our stitching our own. I personally prefer a quilted front bag but have a mixture of various bags.
Enjoyed watching your video very informative on using different floss colors and fabric that goes with them. You do such amazing work. I like fabric bags and your Summer bag is adorable. Looking forward to your next video. Thank you for the inspiration.
Thanks for watching, Susan!
First time watching your flosstube and thoroughly enjoyed all the projects you covered. It is starting to feel like summer in Kentucky.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you always. I enjoy the one w/ vinyl . Really enjoy your videos. And, your make up always looks so nice/natural.
Thank you Linda - so sweet of you to say!
Hi friend. Your finishes are so gorgeous. Summer camp sounds like it’s going to be a blast again! I can’t wait ❤
Thanks, Stacy! Glad you're joining in on Summer Camp and I'm looking forward to seeing you for Bristol weekend!
Lots of helpful tips. Summer. I like bags with a vinyl see thru front
Thanks Sheri! Great tips! I stitched my Stitchy Stars putting four squares into a square shape for a little pin pillow. In the bowl it looks like a little quilt. I never thought of replacing some of the words. Might give that a try. Happy stitching 🇨🇦
Sherri, I really prefer vinyl front project bags. I make my own to suit my preferences. The Rose Wreath Sampler is on my wish list for sure.I always love seeing the projects you are working on. Your suggestions for personalization for samplers are great. Take care. Best, K
Love the Yeti’s & love your channel 😊summer
I am so glad to start seeing signs of summer coming! I so look forward to sitting outside on the patio and stitching. I usually us the project bags from Amazon, but I have made a few with the vinyl front and I love being able to see what's inside.
I love the warm weather in summer. I like both kinds of project bags all cloth and vinyl bags.
Summer! Great video. Lots of really useful information. Leigh/AftonFarm
Love most any project bag, do like the vinyl so you can see your project. The summer bag is adorable.
I appreciated your 10 tips - thank you! My favorite project bag is one I don't have to make because I don't sew! The summer project bag is so bright and colorful.
I cannot wait for summer and to start stitch camp! My favorite kind of project bags are all fabric. I also like the project folders without vinyl.
Fantastic video! Thank you for all the ideas!
Thank you so much for this. I have always felt “funny” about putting someone else’s name on my work and usually end up changing things to suit my tastes. I am relieved to hear that other people feel this way and, like me, make changes. I have no idea why cross stitching evokes these feelings…I would never, ever make a quilt that looked exactly like the pattern! Never! Great video!
Ha - good point about recreating quilts from patterns. It's always fun to make them your own!
I like both kinds of project bags, I just use them a little differently. If I have multiple projects, like bee patterns, I will put them in a fabric bag. Summer.
Looking forward to your “Summer” Stitch camp. Love your videos. They are so positive and informative.
Thanks, Carol!
I like the vinyl front bags better. That way I can see what the pattern is right away! Right now I use plastic ziplock bags. I also picked up vinyl front two-pocket pencil cases. I use those for smaller projects like Mill Hill kits. I have never stitched a sampler but love your personalizing ideas. It makes me want to stitch one now. However, I usually count on 14, 16, and 18 count. I have never done a larger count that samplers tend to be on and I have never stitched on linen. It is good to try new things so maybe one day I will! Thanks for a great show!
I’m going to do Summer Camp this year. Challenges are always fun. I don’t have any fabric project bags yet but my first purchase will probably be one with a vinyl window. Thanks for a very enjoyable video.
Looking forward to summer camp 🏕️ I like all fabric and plastic front. I do have those plastic bags from
Amazon as well!
I feel summer is already here in OK 90s all week! I am not a snob about project bags but I do like a variety of sizes. Tiny enough for purse, medium and large bags too. I really want a notebook trapper keeper type! I’ve changed color of alphabet initials to sign. And hide them within stitches and quilting too.
