Poundland is probably worth checking out for some stuff as well. They quite often have a lot of basic home goods, like candles, along with cleaning and other basic items. The quality can be a bit variable but still worth a pop in from time to time.
Katie, have watched a lot of your videos and thought I’d finally say hi since you haven’t been on in a while. I’m from CT so closer to home than London. Thanks for all your interesting and informative videos. The cost of living crisis is almost everywhere in the west. 💛
As an European, I don't get the purpose of top sheet. Just use a duvet cover, it is much more functional, protects the duvet/comforter way better. It comes in sets with a pillowcase and sometimes bed sheets too
If your followers are moving to the UK, but not to London, you can add Asda to the list of big supermarkets, possibly Morrisons if they're moving to the north. Neither of them have much of a presence in London (compared to Tesco and Sainsbury's). Aldi is interchangeable with Lidl for a low cost shop. There's Iceland, too, who specialise in frozen food, and I only mention because they still stock brands the bigger supermarkets have given up on. Sorry to hear about your stolen phone, but there's a chance you can get it back if you visit the library on Commercial (Street? Road?). That is, whenever i walked from Limehouse to Shoreditch, every time i passed that library in Tower Hamlets someone would always ask if i wanted to buy an iPhone.
About the point of not being able to download the different shop apps - as an American, I had the same problem last year, but a friend told me you have to change your country location in the app store, it doesn't work to just change the location in settings. That allowed me to download the Tesco and Boots apps. The bit about top sheets is so true! Thankfully I brought my own sheets over, but my friends had no idea what I was talking about when it came up.
This is super helpful! Moving to Glasgow literally today lol.... would you say any of this info differs in Scotland? I know you were in Edinburgh but!!

I've been following you for awhile now, and I love seeing how wise and confident you've become!
