Scotland do some amazing gins. The Botanist is my absolute favourite. I really recommend 😊
If Ana Luisa is carbon neutral does that mean they're unsure about diamonds and pencils? They should contact you for a sponsorship because you looked really elegant with those studs in.
It’s been 5 months and I still cry about every single day. Today I found some vlogs I made and I’m devastated, how I was smiling the entire video. Someone please make a Time Machine 😭 I never ever liked living in my home country, I remember asking Santa as a child to make my dad’s job move him to the us or Canada. I never liked my life here and coming back it’s exactly the same as it was before I left. Anyway trying to find a college or university that I can afford so I can leave again asap
really helpful thanks!
This is so cool! I'm also from the DMV and looking into doing a Masters course at UAL. So much content about the school but there's so little international graduate level content, so thank you!!
Hey Katie! This is completely unrelated to this video but I was wondering if you talked about accommodation at the University of Edinburgh in any of your videos? Your videos have been super helpful!
You are so insightful! Your videos are so reassuring! I’ve study abroad and plan to move abroad so this video is so helpful!
Thank you for this video ❤
So this is so random but those clips in Scotland that u showed with that wire bridge is somewhere that i went as part of a school trip and i would love to go back but i have no idea where it is! Do you know the name of the walk?
I’m on a year abroad, studying in Santa Barbara, CA! And I’m actually from west of London so I am really gonna use this when I go back next year when I study in London again 😂❤❤
Your videos are very informative and interesting. Do you have a way to receive donations? Thanks for sharing. And yes, tix for Wicked on Broadway are $210 or even $305 for Saturday. I do prefer to go when I can get tix for less.
Wasn't really an option when I studied in London, but they've now opened a load of cycle lanes so you can pretty much get around zone 1 without the Tube. Some routes cut through the parks so you can avoid the big roads. And if the city life starts to feel too urban, there are indoor beaches scattered around the city, as well as city farms where you can walk amongst wildlife. Good video, Katie.
Just watched Ryan Sedgwick's compilation of cycling in London. I now wouldn't advise cycling, or driving, in London.

As an European, I don't get the purpose of top sheet. Just use a duvet cover, it is much more functional, protects the duvet/comforter way better. It comes in sets with a pillowcase and sometimes bed sheets too
It's always so hard to explain to people who never found a new home in another country how alien my home country feels now. I spent 14 years in the UK, most times in London, I studied there and got married, now that's over, the city is too expensive on my own especially heartbroken and lost. I moved back to my home country which is Hungary and I really hate it here. When I'm with my family at home I feel at home but on the street, in shops, talking to other people is so awful, I hate my own mother tongue which makes me feel guilty and stupid all the time not to be able to express myself properly in hungarian. But it's still the safest and most comforting option to return home. I have to remind myself to be greatful for my family as too many people wouldn't have this option open to them at all. Sometimes we need to take a step back to move forward again.
I always think of Neil Young's "Heart of Gold" when I think of Linda Ronstadt. She sings backing vocals on that.
loved this video :) always love to see a notification that you've posted!!!
Loveee this video :)
How many times so you have to say "like"?? Makes you sound "like" you are a total ignoramus. Please learn to speak articulately without adding word fillers such as "like". Peace!!! 😛😛😛😛😛
Katie! Appreciate your recommendations. I dont think you mentioned the name of the cafe?
what’s the name of the café? loved the video!
Wonderful Video Katie! Cheers 🎉
Katie, you’re an absolutely charming woman. Your red top, necklace, purse, and matching shoes create such a flattering and stylish look on you. Love your great sense of style. Thanks for your warm fall content. Hey I’ll watch blink twice if you see the wild robot 🩵

Oh my gosh Katieeee… so I’m American and moved for my masters to Ireland for a year so I watched ALL of your videos at that time to help get me through but I’ve moved to another city not for a PhD and goin through another tough time so I figured I’d catchup a bit with your recent videos… and GIRL.. the ✨quality✨ of your videos!!!! Like they were always great and felt so personal but you are seriously getting better and better with all the little details and everything and AGHH thank you for continuing to share your journey🫶
This is gold!
Such a good video and message! You are a very captivating speaker :))
Katie, I know I am late to your videos, but I love watching them. Better late than never. You have a charm that is hard to describe and so I take my time watching them and sometimes rewatching them like tv reruns, lol. As MTV used to advertise: “Too much is never enough” 💛
For me it’s the other way around. I’m from Germany and I’m in a long distance relationship since 6 years and I just moved and got married to my husband in America and I simply hate it here 😅 Everything is so different and I’m just overwhelmed by everything. My husband expects me to be his wife and act like I used to but I just am so overwhelmed and stressed. I hate how everyone here is so talkative and I just miss how simple it was in Germany and everyone just minded their business. Everything is so large here and different and I just can’t seem to adjust… I love my husband so much and want to be with him but this is such a huge challenge for me here.
This seems like a culture shock here. I'm sure it's a big decision moving away from the place you are not from to live with the one you love. I hope you can talk to your husband. He can helped you with the transition and is being sympathetic with the progress. I hope you can find community and friend around, which is big thing that helped me when I first study abroad for a long time.
I’m moving from Lithuania to US Indiana. I’m 19. Wish me luck
As a art management student, this is the best way I would describe it too
it's nice hearing about how absolutely challenging it is to move to a new city. there's so many videos out there giving advice and talking about how easy it is to just GO and GET A REMOTE JOB like its on a menu. thank you for just being very genuine in your videos. Also yes you look beautiful :)
One thing I've noticed about serving Americans is that they aren't independent thinkers when it comes to deciding what they want in a shop or restaurant. You've more or less given the example here by walking into a shop. If you're in the shop we kind of expect the customer to know what they're looking for. Just ask if you need more information on the product. An English person in a restaurant would ask one question about a dish and if they didn't like the answer they'd order something else but the American would always say something like "so I'm undecided between the enchiladas and the tacos?" and then want me to make up their minds for them and yes, I just say the easiest option for the kitchen and not the best 😂😂 I work in a restaurant I see Americans getting scammed every week because they seem to trust the sales person too much....and then they tip them 🤣🤣😂😂
I highly recommend the minimalists first (full length) documentary on UA-cam :)

Hello, I'm a Theatre major who wants to get a certificate in Arts Managment (my school offers it) and I was wondering, is this worth it for my goals? I want to do something very much along the lines of this, especially grant writing for arts organizations. I have been complimented on my writing abilities throughout my life and get really passionate about causes. I have a severe math disability and unfortunately that has led to a lot of majors I can't do.
I am from India.Love to all of you. Please Save our Nation. Our Earth. Our Nature .
Mere Dharati Mata tujhe PRANAM.Jai Hind Jai Bharatvarsh.
thankyou so much for this
What do I need in October? Something with or without hood?
One slightly pedantic language point; London (or any town or city in the UK) doesn't have a "downtown". In London you'd refer to the "west end" if you mean Soho / Piccadilly / Mayfair etc. Central London is a slightly wider catch-all term. UK towns and cities have the "town centre" or "city centre". Whether a given place is a town or a city is a whole 'nother discussion, but that differs from US-English too.
Born and Raised in the UK, lost count of the times me or my mates would say are we going downtown tonight, or, if you're a geordie, lets gan doontoon
Fair enough. I've never heard it used in the American way by a British-English speaking person. There would usually be a "the" in the middle if anything. Definitely not something you'd say in London. It makes me think of Manhattan.
Katie! Very exciting, I’m moving from Dallas, TX to Ljubljana, Slovenia next week! My first video launches Sunday! I’ve enjoyed watching yours!
your videos are absolutely amazing I love watching them, I just feel like you will be famous! keep going and don't give up!!!
You really give me hope that I can still move or study abroad. I'm 29 and I just feel so confused and stuck here in the Midwest. But you have given me a lot of advice, helpful information and ideas to take into consideration.
Love your videos Katie. Looking forward to watching this one after work. London’s rental market is so competitive it must make the process stressful. I enjoyed your documents prep video for renting and your proximity to a Tube and other details you provided such as local amenities esp. a dryer. Thanks for all your tips and interesting content! Have a wonderful day. Also, am really glad you’re enjoying life!
Glad you're happy with your life right now. I enjoyed the video, "messy" room and all; congrats on finishing uni.
