Play too hard until the keys sunk and they have never come back to the original position. Hammer sounds can be heard. Therefore, I decided to open the digital piano and got my hands dirty.
Hope this video helps you too!

I've been hammering on my old Casio PX300 digital piano, preparing for an audition on Sunday. Friday night the D above middle C has sunk and is unplayable. I solved the problem through your excellent video!!!! The one change I made was to use the black rubber part from the highest C key on the keyboard. I rarely play this key. Then I assembled the broken rubber parts and glued then onto the high C hammer. All keys are now restored and playable! THANK YOU so much for making this video! You saved my piano!!!
@EdKershenbaum, glad that the video helps! Thanks for your kind words :)
Where do I buy the black rubbers? I want to replace them all since everyday a key is broken same problem with yours.
Hi Miguel, I don't know where to buy the black rubbers, so I replaced it with eraser (cutting it into a cube). You can watch the video from 2.28, hope this helps :-)
Hello,
I have the same problem with my Casio privia px 7 limited edition. Do you know where I can find the Manuel for disassembly please ?
Hi Inaam, sorry for my late response. I don't think there is manual provided. But perhaps you can search from youtube, some users may disassemble them. Most Casio digital piano should be about the same. My trick is when I disassembled, I took video and details, so that I can remember on how to assemble it back :)
Thanks. This technique works for the AP-400 as well. I used super glue instead of tape. I’m having trouble with the black keys though. The shape of the space to put an eraser is different from the white keys. Have you fixed any black keys yet?
Hi Ilcaudio, sorry for my late response. I dont remember i worked on black keys, so I may not able to help much in this, sorry :) As the white keys are sitted on top of black keys, you may need to remove the white keys first.
Hola linda tarde, chica que material usaste para arreglar las teclas
Hi Norberto, sorry for my late response. I was using eraser and scotch tape to fix it. Hope this helps :)
I am at 2:26. Have removed front and back covers. How do you remove the keys?
Thank you for your patience. Suggested not to directly pull it, but slowly remove it from top (as in slowly remove the knot that holding the top part of the key), and then slowly pull down to avoid breaking the rubber. However, if the key rubber has been spoilt, you can just directly pull up from the bottom (bottom part of the key), required some force to do so. Feel free to drop me an email, so that I can explain with images. Hope this helps :)
Hi! May i know 1:52, where is this spot? Thanks so much
Hi Victoria, it is at the bottom of the piano, you can find it at 1:49, the rectangular shape (near square) cover, where it has not been opened yet. (I am not sure if other models do have the same design). Hope this helps!
@@munlovemusic Thank you! i got the rubber parts off shopee, spent about 3 hours unscrewing and 3 hours replacing all the rubber of the black and white keys. HAHA.
Casio cleviano AP 460 is good or no
Hi Techman, sorry for my late response. I havent been using Casio celviano AP460 before, but based on the specification, it seems not bad. I have been using Roland FP-10 too, the touch response is quite real (as compared to acoustic piano). Other than Casio and Roland, you may try Yamaha (just a little pricy).
How long will it last
sorry for my late response. It can last as long as your scotch tape is well attached :) (so far it works)
Hi Munlovesmusic Hello! Thank you for this video - can I donate my cdp120 for you to repair? And you can do what you want by selling it or giving it to someone who would appreciate a piano -
I just don’t want to waste it and I don’t have the patience with all the screws and pieces - already have other repairs and DIY projects on the go - I completed!!! 😅
*UNcompleted projects I mean 😅
Thanks for your kindness :)
