  • This video is showing you my review of GSTP Mower Blade Sharpener Fixture. There are all kinds of ideas on blade sharpeners. I have seen a lot of versions. One I haven't used as of yet I am doing an in depth, boring, although interesting review. You will get my unadulterated opinion.
I spoke with the company recently about getting them in Black with a blue MGM or possibly Black with HMO for Hustler Mower Owners which they have agreed to do if there is enough call for them. The logos will be engraved rather than a decal.
Until then you can go to: www.gstpautopa... for yours as well as a great many direct to you auto parts.

I am quite impressed with this fixture. If I can regain my health, I'm going to begin having them produced in Black with Blue Max's Garaj Mahal engraving, Red with Toro - BigDog - Ferris - Gravely, Orange with Kubota, Black with Hustler Mower Owners in Yellow, Yellow with Wright in Black.
How do you think they may sell if people love to follow their branding labels?
I won't ever use the vice to sharpen my blades. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas my great friend.

@@charlescoker7752 Refresh my memory. More section? Just go to www.gstpautoparts.com/products/gstp-sharpener-model-5005-15-45-adjustable-lawn-mower-blade-sharpener directly to get it $20 less than I paid for mine. I liked it enough to get two of them at 69.99 and preseason here they are for $49.99. I should hit them up for a refund. They are great people and will take care of you. I've talked to them about giving my subscribers a MGM discount. I believe that is set up now. By the way, I have a black and red jig.
Hopefully after all my medical appointments and cancer surgeries I'll be able to put them together on one video being demonstated with a much better video shot to actually see the grinder flap wheels moving up and down the blade along with using their fantastic ball bearing blade balance all in one video.
I believe you'll enjoy the jigs and balancer for sure.
Don't forget to ask for the MGM discount. Thanks for watching.

I live where a blade will last one year. The sand will eat them up fast. I was a farmer 53 years ago. We would put hard surface on our sweeps, subsoiler shanks. After I stopped farming.. I ran a lawn care service. I took the blades to a welding shop with a used blade. I got them to put hard surface on all the places it would wear. Even a bead down the cutting edge. Then sharpened it. The blades stayed sharper longer. And did not have to replace them no where near as often.

Back in the MHM or Max Hughes Machine shop we used to hard surface blades for people almost year round although the shop was for building race parts such as engines, trans, rear ends, chassis, etc. As you said a weld on hard surface increases life dramatically. I used cobalt based rods. Then I designed and produced a slip over - weld on blade edge that had two welded surfaced on bottom of the blade as well as the top. I used the welds to balance the blades.
Only problem with building things better is you work yourself out of work. The real American way. Shame that is no longer the American Mantra today.
Thanks for commenting. Thanks for watching. Merry Christmas to you and your family.
