According to NFHS (high school) rules, the game ends once time runs out. It's not like IFAB where you add time at the end. In high school, you stop the clock for goals, cards, and other random stoppages. Most refs don't end on the corner because it's "not within the spirit of the game." However, there is nothing that says you can't. I think this time the clock hit zero at the wrong time.
@@RosalesFilmss depends on competition rules tbh. I don’t know of a lot of in-season tournaments that decide to have third place games. I guess these two teams could’ve been playing for pride or an extra game to help their CIF standings
Good explanation. I don't know Cali HS rules but they also seem to have added time, maybe possibly, idk. I feel like I've watched high school games on this channel where the clock is at 0 and the game continues. But also in IFAB you can still end a game on a corner if added time has expired. The only time where you must extend time is for the taking of a penalty kick. For high school, it helps that the clock stops for a penalty kick to ensure there is time to take it.
6:58 Missed RED CARD #6 black should have been sent off for violent conduct for throwing his shoulder into the chest of #23 blue. If he had tried to separate and disfuse the situation he would be fine but he is clearly going for revenge here. When play is stopped using that kind of force or even an attempt to is a red card. I hope #23 blue and #6 both recieved a yellow for unsporting behavior.
0:57 Very close to a red card. The way the attacker, #7 red, leaves his feet and lunges into the keeper with his left foot stuck out (which he injures) arguable could be endangering the safety of the keeper. And the keeper clearly gets hurt, even if it isn't serve enough for him to leave the field, it was still a nasty challenge. The slow mo makes the tackle look not as bad as the speed is literally reduced for the video. But as you can hear someone say "he went full force". Would like to see the challenge at full speed to confirm.
@@dukewilson7101 the timestamp made me laugh, I'll give you a point there. What am I imagining about #7 red though? I'm always looking to improve so I'm not a bad referee. So what is the right decision and why?

Crawford’s always gonna be known for playing dirty as hell 😭
0:57 and 6:58

So, since it’s a 3rd place match and the game ended 1-1 does that mean the team higher in the standings wins 3rd place ?

Yea while totally legal just an awkward time to end it.

yellow card for #4 is ok here. Should have been a second caution for #4 though because there was clear SPA at 2:30
The only time the game is extended is to take a PK. If the goalie rejects the ball or hits a post there's NO re-kick
