Black Diamond Haunted Mine Car Dark Ride at Knoebels

Experience the thrill of the Black Diamond dark ride at Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, PA! The Black Diamond is a unique combination of a dark ride and a roller coaster. Originally known as the Golden Nugget Mine Ride, it was purchased in 2009 and modified/rebuilt, officially opening in 2011 in Knoebels. As you embark on this eerie trip, you’ll be seated in four-passenger mine cars, riding through the three-story attraction. The ride reaches a top speed of 12 mph and the highest point is 35 feet. The duration of the ride is approximately 3 minutes and 50 seconds. So, buckle up and get ready for a thrilling adventure! Experience everything from cave-ins, floods, fires, and more. Will you emerge from the pitch-black tunnels? Or will they collapse and leave you at the hands of ghostly miners who’ve perished before you?
