All Fame Quirks Explained And Rated | The Sims 4 Guide

- A guide on every fame quirk from the Sims 4, including both the positive and negative impacts that they bring. The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansions Pack will need to be installed have celebrity sims who can get fame quirks. Each fame quirk is triggered by your sim engaging in some sort of behaviour, whether it be what they're eating or drinking, how they're interacting with fans, or even the way in which they work or spend their spare time.
While often fame quirks in The Sims 4 are thought of as things to avoid, they should more so be considered in terms of how they tie in with a sim's personality, as some can really bring a sim to life and be quite character building.

One tidbit about 'Emotion Bomb' (as it's one of my favourites): If the moodlet runs down (which you can induce by doing anything that would lessen a bad moodlet normally) your sim will either cry it out on the spot (sad), or throw a fit (angry), clearing ALL bad moodlets (those not tied to needs at least) at once. It's more powerful than even the "Try to cheer up/calm down" interaction.

Yeah, this is one quirk I actually like. If some random sim your celebrity sim became instant friends with dies, forget about 2 days mourning if they have the emotion bomb - boom, gone.
Yes! I had this quirky with my Black Widow sim, no need to explain why, and she got very sad, than she would have a mental breakdown and be ready to seduce her next victim!

Being a werewolf also makes you immune to death by anger, so the truly worst part is lessened by that..

If we have the Paparazzi Darling quirk, we can avoid it by wearing celebrity disguise. This option can be found when you click on a mirror, click on a wardrobe and sometimes I saw it when I clicked on my sim.
I remember when I had stan on, one particular stan would should up at the celebrity's house and eat their food, steal their things, yell at and make fun of the celebrity's children and the childrens' boyfriends, go through the garbage outside and stay for hours on end, sometimes even sleeping in the house. It was terrible, its my favorite quirk

Strange, I haven't seen most of these perks in my sims. I bet it's because they often only get the meal trait.
This is why I have a servo with sim defence so stans are being shocked everytime they show up at my house
I mean.. I think the juice one is a subtle nod to alcoholism, so less fun than it may seem. Very good for character building though lol
I would have thought so as well, but considering the world for the pack is California, it could very well be referencing the juicing craze that happened with the wellness boom a few years back.
Hybrid witch vampire with fast learning skills and a perfect manners trait from parenthood and parents with high skills and rankings means your child when an adult will be possibly the most op vanilla sim - learn skills in a flash, to high quality and with polite introduction you instantly become friends with literally anyone, and can calm down almost anyone in a fight. Sims 3 is riddled with vanilla ways to get op sims too. Ie cloned babies (usually cloned vampire sims)

I've only ever unlocked the brushes with fame, vain, and emotion bomb! Edit oh and picky eater. Basically the more boring ones? I'm glad to know there is more!

This is why I love your videos. Didn’t know carefree broke vain street. Which was considered a more annoying quirk. But seems with carefree it is nothing. Which is what I want.
Also I added juice enthusiasts to some sims to make them seem like drinkers and phone fanatic to myself and others to give more character.

Love the ‘refined palette’ quirk. My sim got her first game star by accident (she was in a journalist career) and then my other sim won the lottery too so I made them together gahaha!
I had a sim with the emotion bomb and she died whilst painting. I was dying laughing

The “No Touching!” Quirk is a 1,000,000/5 on how ANNOYING it is for me. Like. You could invite a Best Friend/Soulmate etc. and the moment your Sim hugs that other Sim, the Quirk activates and now I gotta wait til my Sim is finished huffing so I can continue with my interactions. This is also a major downside when you’re playing a Celebrity Vampire and the moment your Sim touches the other Sim to Feed off of, the Quirk activates.
I absolutely hate paparazzi darling because one of my sims got it and every single time the mob showed up to her house she just had to stop whatever she was doing and pose for photos. I almost had a newborn taken away because of this.
Awesome video as always! Another way to never get tense is to complete the beach aspiration on Island living, that's what the prize says it does at least. I'm still working on it.

A guarantee way to get 'Emotion Bomb' is through one of those pop-ups while Sim is at work. You get to choose from two options. One will do nothing, but the second one makes your Sim famous and also instantly fired. Being fired comes with a +3 sad moodlet, that would make your Sim very sad. And boom, instant Emotion Bomb as soon as your Sim becomes a celebrity! I personally hate how easy is this quirk to obtain, especially when we realize that it can be literally deadly for the Sim.
Every single werewolf celebrity is going to have emotion bomb, it's pretty much guaranteed

You can also buy the carefree trait from the aspiration rewards store. It is near the bottom of the list and is high priced though. It is either 5k or 10k satisfaction points I think.

For some reason whenever I would play a celebrity they would always end up with emotion bomb because some sim would die before I leveled up lol

Not like the power and abilities one you did before but more like a "type" of ghost (so more like death+ghost guide?)
It might be a while away but I do have all deaths and ghosts on my list! I just don't know how many more deaths and ghosts will be introduced in future expansion packs so i don't want to do it too early haha. This is defs noted though thank you!!

I wish the No Touching! one worked properly - my Sim always gets it from friends and in the middle of dates! Definitely can be triggered by non-strangers. It's just any repeated physical intimacy or hugging.
Mortal I totally agree, it is annoying when your famous sim gets the bad moodlets in those situations! It's one of those things in the game that I wonder whether it's intentional or not lol.
No matter what I do, my famous sims are are either
A. Picky Eater
B. In Love with their Appearance
C. Addicted to their phone
D. All of the Above
(A is called Refined Plate, B is called Vain Street, C is called Phone Fanatic)

I wish some if these quirks like Juice Enthusiast were available for all sims, because I love the gameplay they add, but I don't like playing as a celebrity lol
I gotta be honest, I relate with the No Touching since Im autistic which means I kinda hate physical touch. (Cause it feels like a bug on me)
And I may or may not have developed a skill of managing to avoid potential physical contacts like a frigging nija.
"No touching" is REALLY annoying if you're playing a protagonist who's life goal is to bang everything that moves, which in and of itself triggers it before most of the fun begins... That's why I always treat my first two perks as buffer perks. Refined palate is a must early on.
Thanks for giving me a method to have an angry 😡 mood. My hot headed sims only lasts for 3 hours. Now I can paint pictures 🎨 and do different angry boots traits. Maybe write ✍️ an angry book.
Oh my god 🤣 my sim married Octavia Moon and she has the Juice Enthusiast quirk 😅 I've been under the assumption that she's an alcoholic and have several bars all over the house and a Globe bar by her vanity that she hits up every morning 😭
God I HATE Brushes with Fame! My sim got it from spending time with Judith Ward as a teen. She’s an adult now and the only other global superstar other than Judith, who’s an elder now and is gonna die any day 😭 now I gotta get her kids to be 5 star celebs 😂
I've noticed that when a Stan rummages through your trash, that can be scavenged for easy upgrade parts, especially since my stans seem to also want to pick up the trash right away I can just keep sending my Sim to get more parts.
I never play with the fame career because it's just too difficult. You can't go a DAY without your game level almost dropping
Fun fact, Juice is not as healthy as ppl usually imagine. It condensed all the sugar the fruit has and removed the solid part (fibre etc).
So, yeah, better to eat fruits than drink juice.
With the public number quirk Judith Ward is always messaging my sim and telling her she’s hot…it gets really weird sometimes 😂

Emotion Bomb is so easy to get if a sim in your household dies because every sim will get very sad for a while after one dies like from fire, starvation, etc.
My temporary top tier sim has no quirks. That's one of his abilities. Other super sims, that are Mortal, will have different specific quirks.
My Celebrities keep getting Emotion Bomb -.-...
I kept making my Celeb chug all the Orange juice and they STILL don't have that quirk! is there a set time or am I not doing it enough??
Pretty sure my Juice Enthusiast sim got it from the bar and resolves it at the bar

I can't seem to get the "fan mail" quirk no matter what I do. I interact with other Sims, I do fame interactions with other Sims, I interact with "fans" at meet and greets that I host... Nothing. What am I doing wrong?
"Your Sim will whip out their phone for a browse..." They do that anyway and it's already annoying. I haven't gotten that pack yet, and my Sims are constantly mucking about on their phones. Last night I had a Sim eat a Mermaidic Kelp and, on her way to her first transformation, she was fiddling with her phone, all the way up until she was chest deep in water. It's entirely obnoxious even without any moodlets. Same with Public Number. I already get bombarded with obnoxious phonecalls. "I was thinking about hanging out with X" "We were considering having a baby" blah, blah blah. Stop asking me for advice about mundane crap. That's with Neighbourhood Stories turned of. And of course the calls like "I heard you just became friends with so-and-so." Public Number seems like just more of the same obnoxious rubbish that was already going on.
I remember when I Stan urinated on my floors....repeatedly 🙃

You can buy a quirk-b-gone potion with satisfaction points that can be used to remove one :), so yes!
