LOL! I'll admit I didnt realize the blue was a plastic coating for a LONG time and I didn't know why stamping didn't work. I'm glad this video helped! As far as fine lines, do you mean creating lines with striping tape? That's the really thin tape for your nails!
I used to use Sinful Colours white polish. That worked for me and you're right about metallic polishes, they're so good with stamping 😀. Great Video 😀😀.

I bought a set of these when they first became popular well over a decade ago (I'm in my 40s lol) and I've just been adding new plates to my collection as I go. LOVE them! great for summer designs on the big toe and just a 'statement' nail, which my daughters and her friends have done for homecoming before.

I bought this almost a yr ago and still have not tried it!🙈 I heard a lot of great things about the Bliss Kiss Stamper, and want to add that to my little collection🤫BUT... something that has made me more at ease when it comes to the Twinkled T Stamper, & the BK Stamper is that they’re good to go! Question: I have not tried stamping yet, so forgive me if this is a dumb question... would it work, say with the lace type of plate and a stamper with a large surface area, to transfer onto that entire area and then stamp all five nails on one hand with different portions, or areas of the stamper? They now have these Stampers where you can layer the image. So by that I mean you can take the background of a hippo shape of his head stamp that, and then take the outline that has his eyes and the outline of the head and it light on for nostrils and then stay on fat on top those are so cool I have yet to find them online at a decent price though mind you I haven't looked that hard though either love your videos
can you make a video on the best top coat and base coats? what makes them better than the others for people who need help deciding which ones to use for nail stamping on regular nail polish? I only seen the gel ones and i don't use gels and I can't afford it. Lol thanks in advance.
When I got my first stamping plates, I didn't realise that you had to remove the protective layer first so I tried to stamp with the blue cover on! I got so annoyed when it wouldn't work but then I felt stupid after watching a UA-cam video😶
Can you do a guide like this for water decals? I've been wanting to start using them because I don't have as much time as I used to to do my nails but idk where to start. I don't know what kinds to use, which types are best to buy, if they all work differently... It all seems so stressful lol.
What do you do with the stamper and plate in between nails? I imagine you must have to clean them off in between each nail? How do you do that without wrecking the nail polish on your fingers? And can you clean the stamper with acetone as well? Also thank you for the super straightforward beginner video I had a hard time finding any others like this one!
Thanks for the tips. I bought stamping plates when they first came out. Threw them in a box and never used them again. They were just awful, last year I tried them again and they're still awful. Bought pueens and kiss stamping kits, much better then the awful ones. I stumbled across clearjellystamper plates and become addicted.

Kelli Marissa I would but it's a silicone one. I don't know if that would work. I seen videos of people using the one I have and it looked so easy. lol
What kind of pressure should you use when pressing the stamper to the plate? I don't know if I'm pushing too hard or something because rarely does it pick anything up for me. Also, do you recommend pushing straight on, or rolling the stamper over the image to pick up the polish? I have the same stamper you used in your video!
I think the biggest key is working as fast as possible, and only applying slight pressure onto the stamper! Also, I have found that the image transfers better when I push straight down, rather than roll it on :) I'm going to film a follow-up video to this where I go into more tips and tricks for successful stamping!
+Snow White hey! You theoretically can, but since acrylic paint takes a while to dry it's more likely to smudge when you actually stamp it onto your nail!
Kelli help!!! I don't know what I'm doing wrong... I tried stamping like, 6-7 yrs ago and it worked great for me. Then I stopped for awhile and did other types of nail art. Now I've been trying it again and every time it's FAIL. The polish won't go on the stamper...so I've tried different polishes. Stamping polishes, different brands of stamping polishes, different brands of non stamping polishes, different colors... I've tried different stampers and different brands of stampers... I've tried using a nail file to rough up the stamper - that FINALLY got the design to pick up on the stamper...BUT then I can't get the design to transfer to my nail!!!! It's excruciatingly frustrating! Especially since this isn't my first go at this. Any tips or advice would be appreciated! I have stampers from Konad - marshmallow and double sided (what I had original success with years ago) and BMC - clear. Stamping polishes from Konad and BMC. And plates from Konad, Color Club & Pueen. Thanks in advance!!

It can feel like youre trying every product and it's not working - but I've actually found that the temperature of the room I'm in makes a HUGE difference. I don't have a temperature controlled apartment, so it gets cold in the winter, and it's so much harder to achieve stamping. Are you in a warm room?

Dear Kelli, I watched almost every stamping tutorial on UA-cam. Did a lot of trial and error and guess I'm almost a pro now ;-). But some designs just won't transfer to the stamper. I cleaned them several times with acetone. And tried different stampers and polishes. What else can I do?
+Carla Bellini hey Carla! I find that some plates just aren't etched deep enough to pick up the design, unfortunately. One trick I do to get difficult stamps to work is I will get the stamping plate really warm (usually by holding my palm on it for a while) and then try it - sometimes the plate is just too cold and it makes the polish dry instantly!
thanks for your quick answer. I checked the problematic designs again and they are mostly very fine. What I didn't try so far is this squishy soft round stamper. Might this be an option?

My favorite thing to use is actually hotel key cards or expired credit cards! No need to buy one :)

I got a cheapy silicone stamper and I can't even get the stamp on the stupid silicone, any tips?
+Miranda DM hey Miranda, I would try to lightly file the top of the stamper with a nail file to make it a little easier for the polish to adhere to it!
Kelli Marissa I would but it's a silicone one. I don't know if that would work. I seen videos of people using the one I have and it looked so easy. lol
Does your nail have to wet before stamping or just if you’re putting on a diy decal/reverse stamping?
Just dry is fine for regular stamping.

What kind of pressure should you use when pressing the stamper to the plate? I don't know if I'm pushing too hard or something because rarely does it pick anything up for me. Also, do you recommend pushing straight on, or rolling the stamper over the image to pick up the polish? I have the same stamper you used in your video!
I think the biggest key is working as fast as possible, and only applying slight pressure onto the stamper! Also, I have found that the image transfers better when I push straight down, rather than roll it on :) I'm going to film a follow-up video to this where I go into more tips and tricks for successful stamping!

+Snow White hey! You theoretically can, but since acrylic paint takes a while to dry it's more likely to smudge when you actually stamp it onto your nail!

Kelli help!!! I don't know what I'm doing wrong... I tried stamping like, 6-7 yrs ago and it worked great for me. Then I stopped for awhile and did other types of nail art. Now I've been trying it again and every time it's FAIL. The polish won't go on the stamper...so I've tried different polishes. Stamping polishes, different brands of stamping polishes, different brands of non stamping polishes, different colors... I've tried different stampers and different brands of stampers... I've tried using a nail file to rough up the stamper - that FINALLY got the design to pick up on the stamper...BUT then I can't get the design to transfer to my nail!!!! It's excruciatingly frustrating! Especially since this isn't my first go at this. Any tips or advice would be appreciated! I have stampers from Konad - marshmallow and double sided (what I had original success with years ago) and BMC - clear. Stamping polishes from Konad and BMC. And plates from Konad, Color Club & Pueen. Thanks in advance!!

It can feel like youre trying every product and it's not working - but I've actually found that the temperature of the room I'm in makes a HUGE difference. I don't have a temperature controlled apartment, so it gets cold in the winter, and it's so much harder to achieve stamping. Are you in a warm room?

+Sherry Kinslow hi Sherry! It sounds like you might need to "prime" your stamper first! Just lightly file the top of it with a nail file :)

Which stamper do you use? Some stampers need to be lightly filed the first time you use them :)

Hey Hannah, your stamping plate might be too cold - that happens to me in the winter where the polish just dries too fast on the stamping plate!

Dear Kelli, I watched almost every stamping tutorial on UA-cam. Did a lot of trial and error and guess I'm almost a pro now ;-). But some designs just won't transfer to the stamper. I cleaned them several times with acetone. And tried different stampers and polishes. What else can I do?
+Carla Bellini hey Carla! I find that some plates just aren't etched deep enough to pick up the design, unfortunately. One trick I do to get difficult stamps to work is I will get the stamping plate really warm (usually by holding my palm on it for a while) and then try it - sometimes the plate is just too cold and it makes the polish dry instantly!
thanks for your quick answer. I checked the problematic designs again and they are mostly very fine. What I didn't try so far is this squishy soft round stamper. Might this be an option?
