I loved Cardcaptor Sakura as a child, it was the first anime I watched, when I was young I had no idea it came from Japan untill I looked it up on the net and watched all the episodes. I was always made fun of because I watched it but I just took it with a pinch of salt, todate this is my favorite anime just because there is none other like it as far as I know.
He's from Singapore. Over there they have what you'd call a "singlish" accent. It's normal though, since he lives there, it's normal to adapt the accent. I'm sure if you lived there, you'd have the accent too. =)

Since you are obviously a figure fan, I'm surprised that you would think this way... Things aren't bound to the labels that people decide to give it. Look at something from a different perspective and it becomes something else. In this case, a toy can become a replica.
