Great movie! One that shows good old fashioned small town values of folks who care about one another with more than posting a praying hands emoji on social media. If Kevin Sorbo is in it, you know it's going to be a wholesome, feel good type of movie. He is committed to making good stories.
You must be kidding. A man forces himself on a woman and it's a wholesome movie?
A woman hears a man tell her he's in love with her after a few days and so she sleeps with him without knowing him or building any kind of relationship?
I wouldn't call that wholesome, I'd call that touching someone in a sexual way without their consent and succumbing to a thoughtless, superficial and sexually motivated union.
Maybe we have different ideas of wholesome but to me this is just soft porn and shouldn't be shown to anyone under 20, preferably 50.

I just finished watching this movie for the first time. It was a beautiful story with great actors who had wonderful chemistry between them. I will definitely watch it again. I would love to see a sequel to it, one in which they are married, have children of their own and running the cafe together.

I am really enjoying this nifty movie! It's got some sweetness along with some exciting moments. Good acting and a decent plot without a lot of horrific violence makes it a decent family film.

I think I'm crying, at 69, can't stop my emotion's from rolling off my cheeks, hilarious this story had me, the drama, the storyline, the courteousness of the people, the tragedy, and then the cafe, owner, met someone, and what's next, blank, then Kevin's truck pulls up new face in the cafe, the new's paper and the familiar voice, the romance is complete, and marriage, DONE DEAL.
This is an excellent movie. Kevin Sorbo has never looked more handsome and the entire cast is top notch.

Glad a found this movie very much enjoy watching can't get enough of it, the way they fall in love & the way he wants to protect her & her daughter. Just wish they could do a squeal Would love to watch them marry & her run the cafe while he is doing what he needs to do at the farm, it would be so great, loved how he protected her & her daughter was just great

They did a squeal...it was horribly sad ..farm burnt down and she had an affair with a stud well hung Gang leader, drug lord ..he ended up losing everything

Yes, the credits at the end of the movie says her name is Susan Jacks, unfortunately she passed away last year on April 25. She had a beautiful voice and did sound a bit like Karen Carpenter.
To minimize the annoying problem I've put my tv screen on zoom and adjusted it to show 'Property of Riegel' to appear nearer the bottom end of the screen, just a suggestion.

A GREAT movie to show truth prevails. A country town guy saves a city girl. The only problem here is the word or name of Riegal in the center of the entire movie to show proprietary rights, etc. What a shame to destroy an entire movie just to protect it from unauthorized usage, etc. No other movie does this, so why do this.

Oh i love so much the writer of this movie its so in, in my taste, the attitude of the character and the fashion so i love it.
A surprisingly good movie. A lot of tension and release as it unfolded. A good cast and it appeared all the actors were good positive and sincere human beings. By the way, I'm glad the cougars survived the movie!! Two thumbs up guys!! 🙏

The universe was playing a cliche on me.
It's an old movie cliché... Just like in some movies, someone will be trying to escape from a house or something, and they stand there pulling on the doorknob instead of unlocking the door, or they have a key and can't get the key to work.

It seems like a lifetime ago where romantic movies like this were made, but it’s only 16 years. Life and the movies have really changed, can’t find anything that’s romantic and about love, a little drama, comedy, nothing truly “family safe” these days. Times have changed and I’d like a ticket to the time machine to get out of this awful era we are in!

I have read some of the comments on this movie and most are positive but the thing that some people miss is the most obvious theme of this movie and it is in the title, Last Chance Cafe. In life, we all have made mistakes, made bad decisions, bad choices and yes, we have all sinned. Romans 3:23 says, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God but the good news is that wherever we all in life, there is one who offers that second chance or even last chance at a new life and that is Jesus Christ. Like I said, most times there is a deeper theme to a movie than what you see on the surface. I enjoyed the movie and it even brought tears to my eyes because of the life I lived and it was Jesus Christ that offered me that chance for a new life in a risen Savior. We all have a choice to make that effect our eternal destiny. All I ask is for people to think about these things and I pray that you would trust in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.

It sure would have been better to have the caption at the bottom of the screen and faded out some. Having it dead center was totally unnecessary and a bit annoying. The movie itself was excellent. Kevin is one of my favorite actors.
