I love you guys from So Cal! out here in California with my 2003 Honda Civic! She runs like a beauty with your beautiful Techron! ❤️🇺🇸🇵🇭
I got a 03 civic as well a manual ex model, this car is almost unstoppable
Just started using it recently. I think it's working. Hey when your old ride is running crusty and then it runs good with a tank of this. I'd say yeah it works
Works well on my Honda City 👍🏻🇵🇭
My 1989 Honda Civic DX hatchback got her very first taste of any gasoline additive today at 105,300 miles. My brother recommended Techron so here goes. Hoping for more happy miles ahead.
Very informative!

This is the only Fuel System Cleaner that can be used in all Kia Vehicle GDI engines. Its recommend by Kia in a Service Bulletin. It eliminates the carbon buildup on the unburnt fuel left on the valves caused by the direct injection. I have a 2020 Kia Sorento 3.3 V6 . Great Product. It Will Not Void your Warranty.
@Frank Leutz! Greatest mechanic ever in Az!! I wish you didn’t sell Desert Car care! I have issues with rough idling that no mechanic managed to figure out yet 😢 they just pretend they know…miss ya buddy!
I thought I would compile all the manufacturer info:
Kia recommends one 12 oz bottle of Techron every 7500 miles,.
Chevron states the difference between the regular fuel system cleaner and high mileage is the regular should be used every 3000 miles and includes injector cleaners, the high mileage can be used every 1000 miles but includes a fuel stabilizer and a corrosion preventer. The high mileage cleaner can also be used in any gasoline powered lawn or farm equipment, it's great for vehicles that are aren't used in the winter.
Chevron also makes a diesel cleaner but never mix the two types.
You also don't have to use the entire bottle, it has a screw cap and will last for up to 5 years.
Works well on my Montero Sport.
I used diesel cleaner, I added 70ml (250ml) cleaner more than recommended rate (180ml). After 3k km, the engine oil still black after oil change. Mechanic suggested me doing another oil change after 2k km. The car is 116250km now. Did I something wrong?
If you are here, chances are you are having car issues and probably already thinking about taking it to a mechanic or fixing it yourself. I said try it if your car is stalling, check engine light on or flashing in and out. It work for me. 09 Honda Pilot with 240,000 miles. My car was idling rough when stop at a light/feels like it was gonna die on me. Check engine light would flash in and out and acceleration would stall. I was to the point of throwing the car away and gotten approved for a car loan but I kept having a feeling it was something small and can to find this product. Like I say, if you are like me then you can’t lose because you already thinking about spending big money on fixing it or getting rid of it.
what percentage of the formula is PEA?
Can you shed some light on the difference between this and the 'high mileage' version? From what I read, the high mileage version has fuel stabilizer (which I don't need) and it says do not exceed twelve 12oz treatments between oil changes. This product says do not exceed two treatments per oil change. Is the high mileage version weak?
Can we mix both the complete fuel system cleaner, and the high mileage? Or is that much additives in one tank?
hi, how to get the 1oz per 1 gal treat rate if my car has a 15.9 gal tank capacity but your available bottle size are 12oz, 20oz and 32oz? will the 12oz good enough to treat a 15.9 gal or the 20oz will be overtreatment ?
We’d recommend the 12 oz bottle here for your 15.9 gallon tank.
hi again, I have another car with 23 gal tank capacity. In order to get the 1oz per 1 gal treat rate, can I use 2 bottles of 12 oz but it will exceed by 1oz, will this still be good or consider it as overtreatment?
Hi Philip. While 1 oz of Techron Complete Fuel System Treatment per 1 gallon of gas is our recommended fuel treatment ratio, you will not cause any harm by using two 12 oz bottles of Techron Complete Fuel System Treatment in a 23 gallon tank.
Is Technron bottle safe for Turbo Engines??? 2.7 Ecoboost?? I heard chatter that it should not be used with turbo charged engines...
Is it good to use on a 1.3L turbo engine?
Hello, by mistake I put techron fuel system cleaner on my diesel car, will it have serious damage or will it just be difficult to pass clean air emissions standard?
Nope! You'll be fine
I had messed up By Putting it on half tank then filling it up to full tank I forgot to Put when it didn't have no gas will it mess up my engine or will it still work? I did fill up my tank but I forgot to do it before
Hi Angel. Thanks for the great question! Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner will not damage your fuel system when used properly and at the proper frequency. You can use Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner on a half tank or a full tank of gas. It’s best to follow the bottle’s instruction guide.
Does that product cause any harm if it had been put in the the right way for a week?
I just changed my oil 1000 miles ago. can I still use this product now vs waiting 3-4 month before my next oil change?
Yes, David. You can still use Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner now. The recommendation to use Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner around every oil change interval is a helpful way to remember when you last added Techron, as product usage should not exceed twice per oil change.
did he put it in his hair too?
Hi! Is there any issue if I used the entire bottle after a full tank and not before?
It mixes better of added first
Could I use Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner instead of the Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner for a car that's above 75,000 miles?
I use complete fuel system cleaner for my girlfriends 2000 Toyota Avalon every oil change, 5000 miles with full synthetic. Runs like a dream and has almost 160,000 miles now
How many time to have to used it?
My car has 110,000 miles should I use the high mileage or complete fuel cleaner does it matter
We recommend using Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner for vehicles with over 75,000 miles. Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner also protects fuel system components from corrosion, which is more common in engines with higher mileage. It also has a different treatment rate of 1 ounce to every 1.75 gallons, and is recommended for use every 1,000 miles.
Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner has a treat rate of 1 ounce to every 1 gallon, and is recommended for use every 3,000 miles. You can learn more about both products here, and to answer your question, yes, you can use Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner in the meantime if you're unable to find Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner: www.chevronlubricants.com/content/dam/external/techron/en_us/sales-material/sales-sheet/Techron-Product-Comparison-Chart.pdf
will this product pose negative effect on my engine oil? Or contaminat the oil?
Techron will not cause any change to engine oil color, appearance, or performance if it is used as directed. Unlike some competitors' PEA-based formula, Techron will not cause sludge in engine oil.
How often I can use the high mileage one ? Every 3 months?
To keep the entire fuel system clean, use Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner every 1,000 miles or as needed for your high mileage vehicle.
Do i need to consume all 45 liters After filling with Techron Complete fuel system cleaner?
Because if i refuel after half tank it will destroy the 45liters ratio to 1 techron bottle.
Techron Complete Fuel System Clean is designed to remove carbon deposits that are by-products of the combustion process. Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner is recommended for use every 3,000 miles as needed (not to exceed five treatments between oil changes). The recommended treat rate for each product is 1 oz per 1 gallon fuel. As a suggested best practice, run the fuel tank to almost empty, then add Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner to the tank & fill the tank with gas. After filling, run the vehicle for at least 30 minutes to get the treatment circulating through the system. After treating the fuel with Techron, we suggest wait to refill the tank until nearly empty or when the fuel check light is visible. This will optimize deposit removal, and if using Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner it will also reduce deposit formation by facilitating more complete combustion.
You forgot 1 important question. Will it stop water from freezing in the fuel system?
No it will not. It's meant to clean the fuel system, not remove water. Iso-Heet (the red bottle) works great for removing small amounts of water.
I accidentally used regular Techron on my 105K mileage SUV. Can I safely switch to high mileage?
Great question Dennis! Yes, you can safely switch to Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner. The major difference between Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner and Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner is that Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner also protects fuel system components from corrosion, more common in engines with higher mileage. It also has a different treatment rate of 1 ounce to every 1.75 gallons, and is recommended for use every 1,000 miles. Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner has a treat rate of 1 ounce to every 1 gallon, and is recommended for use every 3,000 miles. Techron is what Chevron has in its gasoline.
Unfortunately, I don't find any retailer selling a single bottle of the high mileage cleaner (amazon sells a bundle of six).
The regular cleaner says that it works for old machines as well. What is the major difference?
Hi there! Great question. Sorry you weren’t able to find Techron High Mileage Fuel System Cleaner available in individual units. Have you checked O'Reilly? The product is available there in select stores.

@grozbeek mose Really? I didn't see it online. Hopefully I can find it in store (in Boston btw.) Thanks.
Why exactly is the high mileage option better than the regular option? Does it have extra cleaning agents?

It's too bad this stuff wasn't easier to get in Canada other than Amazon where it's pretty pricy.
How often should I use Techron?
Hi Simon. Great question! Techron is recommended for use every 3,000 miles or right before an oil change.
@@techron1236
Hi Techron, will it damage my engine if i opted not to immediately change my engine oil after Techron Concentrate Plus treatment as it is not due for one?
@@royhue5198 Hi Roy. To answer your question - no, using Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner will not damage your engine if you use it at the proper treatment rate (1 oz to every 1 gallon of fuel), even if you’re not due for an oil change yet. Do not use more than five bottles or treatments between oil changes either. The main reason we recommend using Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner around the time of an oil change is because it’s an easy way to remember when you last used it, as it’s recommended for use every 3,000 miles (about the same timeline as many vehicles’ oil changes). Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner is specifically formulated to be effective at its intended purpose and not harm fuel system components, so it will not harm your engine when used properly per the bottle’s instructions.
@@techron1236 thanks Sir for the swift response. Appreciate it very much 😄
@@techron1236 So what if I have a 13 gallon tank and I use 2 x 12 oz Techron fuel cleaner. Is an almost a 2-1 ratio ok? And this is for mixing it with top tier gas such as Shell / Costco / Chevron
What about cars with direct injection? Will it help to clean injectors?
Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner is recommended for use in direct injected gasoline engines. It cleans deposits from fuel injectors, carburetors, intake valves and combustion chambers, and cleans, restores and protects the entire fuel system.

Can I overuse Techron in my car? Could it mess my car up if I use it more than once or twice in a month?
They say not to use more than twice per oil change.
Hi Cheyenne, that’s a great question. It depends on how many miles you’re driving every month, as we provide our recommendations based on miles driven. We recommend adding Techron Complete Fuel System Cleaner to the gas tank no more than 5 times between oil changes, or approximately every 3,000 miles. Using more than this amount could lead to oil thickening and fuel dilution.
@@techron1236 Porsche put out a bulletin to change oil 500-1k miles after using Techron. They’re wrong?
@@beaucephus526 Hi Beau. Our advice is to follow the directions on the Techron bottle for the particular Techron product you're using. They each have different recommended treatment rates. You can also always refer to the Original Equipment Manufacturer manual for additional guidance.
@@techron1236 so they’re right?
I get the feeling this guy doesn’t know anything he’s talking about.
What is techron complete fuel system cleaner and why should I use it? Well you see, techron complete fuel system cleaner is a system cleaner that completely cleans your system and the company name is called techron, nah mean? It done cleaned it all up and shyt. Scientifically formulated and shyt.
Only an American would use weight when talking about volume 😂
Where does the dirt go?
Most of the removed deposits get burned inside the engine and are released as non-toxic gas through the exhaust.
How do I know when my tank is almost empty?......I have a Tesla .
