Tom Waits is his own genre. So amazing.
Jeff "Luce" Lucey was a soldier who fought in Iraq, suffered from PTSD and committed suicide.
Such an incredible song. The video has such impact too. Tom Waits has carved such a unique path throughout his career. Wonderful stuff.
I told you an lexi about tom way back, a few times actually. Glad you got around to tom. This song is about how war broke Jeff Lucey. Notice how the house travels with him in the video to the white snow flakes falling changing to red white and blue. Anyway this song and video are of the highest caliber musically and visually. I told you tom is the greatest thing in music, but without knowing most of his stuff, the pieces, however fantastic they are just don't really let you know what a rare gem Tom has placed himself to the world of sound.
