And people claim Alex was mean first to her family. If her parents and siblings were a bit more accepting she may have been more kind. I get they were going for stereotypical middle child but it was a touch too much in my opinion
As a mother of 4-month-old twin boys I can sooooo relate to Haley's pain... I couldn't breastfeed but during the first few weeks of their lifes I pumped the milk for them to eat. But it was simply too much trouble and I had million other things to do for them so I finally decided to change completely to formula. My boys are healthy and growing well 💙
Babies need a healthy and sane mother. If pumping milk was too much, it stressed you out, and it stressed the babies. Formula is a win-win in this situation. And they got the first milk, it's the most important one.
Right. I don’t get the trope in shows that if you can’t breastfeed you’re a bad mom who can’t bond with her baby. Personally, it sounds like child abuse if you have a starving baby and won’t give it formula because youre insistent on breastfeeding. It’s like saying you’re only a good parent if you can provide a boob.
And one of the reasons I respect and admire my mom, is for raising my twin brother and I basically all by herself. Imagine having to bath, feed, change, two babies practically at the same time alone. Tho that left lots of funny anecdotes. She did all that at her middle twenties and I can’t see myself doing that at my early twenties.

Also Alex is clearly jaded and snarky as a form of dealing with this behaviour. I wish it didn't take Alex to go to extremes to get proper attention (Having a breakdown or hanging out with Gloria). Also the show says that she's closest to Jay and he likes her the most but we never see it either
I think Mitch understands her best out of everyone in the family. Look at the scene where they buy the Christmas tree together. They should’ve had many more scenes together.
@@Tontoquienloleation The show never really focuses on Jay's relationship with his grandchildren which is a shame. We can tell subtly that he lets them do as they want as long as they respect his rules but we rarely see any emotional moments with them

@@gallopinggoose7997 new research actually says there are a lot more benefits to breastfeeding over formula milk. Because of this, breastfed babies statistically have fewer infections. There are necessary vitamins and nutrients that arent in formula milk that help with brain development, gut development, nervous system development. True but the mom needs to be able to take care of herself if she's going to take care of her child/children properly. Breastfeeding can be painful for the mother, especially for first time mothers. And sometimes women don't produce enough milk for the baby to survive on, and twins can make it even more complicated.
Haley and Dylan are in their mid-twenties at this point. Totally normal age to have kids especially since they have a support system through Haley's parents.
@@aperson6968 I know this comment is months old, but this is important information. It's dangerous for babies this young to sleep together or have anything in their crib except a fitted sheet because of the danger of suffocation if the baby is unable to move away from something or someone covering their mouth.
This is worst plot in entire show, young ppl not able to make a living for themselves are bringing babies in the worlds and increasing their parents burden.
