charlieboyok Agree. I would date someone with tourettes any day than with depression. Reason being I don't know what I'm gonna get each day from them. And I would not want to carry the burden of someone emotional and mental state.

I can so relate. When you're in love and then break-up happened. 2018 was my Britney 2007. Still battling with it. Mental issue is not something to be ashamed of, and can't be judged lightly. Beautiful moment ❤️
From 2016-2018 was a Britney moment for me. 2017 was tough enough, 2018 I started to make a slow comeback but 2019 yep that was my year. 2020 bring it.

Oh my god I have Tourettes and just... wow. This makes me so happy. Thank you. Nobody understands how hard it is. I’m bless to have medicine that makes it no longer a problem for me.
All people I meet think it's nothing but try to shake your hand, head, leg, arm, blink a lot, swear, grunt, clear your throat, shout words, sniff, cough etc. at all the time skipping sleep. It's realy hard.
And these questions: can't you just stop? Maybe try this, that. I know people want to help but it's incurable. But that's nothing. They want to help, but those who laugh or mock me.🤷 Than I have even worse tics. I don't want to feel sorry for myself but sometimes it's realy hard.

My bf and I are having a lot of troubles now because he has chronic, severe depression and I have generalized anxiety.
It's the hardest thing I've ever had to deal with. I don't know how 2 people like us can survive within a relationship so I'm bouncing between how much I love him and how much it tears me down to be with someone that I constantly have to be strong and upbeat for who very rarely reciprocates. I can be optimistic for a while, but then I suddenly find myself wanting to cry my eyes out when I think about how bad it could get.
It was really cute that he could ignore the ticks and keep the conversation going. Nice guys

I felt a little heartbroken for Damian when he talked of dates that pull away.
I never be embarrassed to introduce him to anyone, he is so handsome, charming and his eyes are like deep pools to be discovered forever.
I knew someone have a gym I went to with severe Tourette’s syndrome. He takes one more extreme and much louder. I just accepted it. But there were other people complained that it disturbed the ambulance.
If people are uncomfortable I think it’s more out of ignorance. If you have compassion and empathy one can adjust to most anything.
I could only dream that someone like David would have come into my life. Too late now but I wish and love and all good things

The depression is a very hard, big, and common problem, and everybody can be affected not matters is you are pretty or professional or nothing. We should have more people talking about it, organization helping more so the people don’t feel afraid to be open at the reality and finally get some help
I think people just want to see an amazing love story unfold. They do but sometimes I think someone having Tourette's can be a bit much for their partner or other half and so they don't stay together. Each relationship has its issues alone and then to have Tourette's on top of that can be hard. I have a friend with it and I love him dearly, it sucks when we get into spats, disagreements or arguments because it gets the better of him and it always ends with me trying to calm him down so he can get out what it is he needs to say but then by the time that happens... we're no longer upset at one another.
I guess I say all that to say what looks good on camera isn't always perfect. Sure these two are quite handsome and look good on paper but maybe Kai isn't equipped to deal with a relationship with someone with Tourette's and perhaps Damien has other issues of his own as well that could be barriers. You never know these things but this was nice to watch and in my head I'd like to think these two stayed together but I know it isn't so. 💫✨

But if you look like an average joe..this comment section would be filled with negative commentary. This is why the beautiful ones always win..and that's a pretty sad reflection on our society.

I disagree and also wouldn't describe depression and tourette's as a 'disability'. It sounds more like your own reflection in society, finding negatives in a hypothetical situation. What exactly do beautiful people win? love? as that is clearly not true. Personality and a good sense of humour will always go further than good looks.
@@fuddyduddy306 May be not 'always win' but good looks does help in life. I learnt that as a 7 year old when I was always selected for things at school but not my equally capable best friend. And it has helped me career wise too. You still need to work hard but it does make a difference. Trust me.

People with tourettes tend to get their tics from things they hear or things they do often if that helps you out with your question 😅

In the last post, on his own UA-cam channel about two years ago or more, he said he had a spiritual awakening and experienced some sort of astral projection experience in his mind. After this happened, his Tourettes went away, and he was no longer anxious. He is no longer a psychiatric nurse

This is encouraging. I have several mental illnesses and I’ve just pretty much given up on dating. Just about every man I’ve met spent their whole life (like the rest of the free world) watching mentally ill people portrayed maniacally in the media. These portrayals are 90% FALSE! More crimes are committed against people with MI than by.
Guys I meet want nothing but sex. The few who do call back pretend to care in the beginning, then show their true colors not long after. They judge me, are embarrassed by me, don’t take me seriously, or are scared off. I only meet men who enjoy hurting women 🤦🏽♀️
And I personally don’t want anyone with health problems, MI especially. There’s always a chance that we could trigger or have episodes at the same time. Then we wouldn’t be of any use to each other. It says more to me when a man with absolutely no health issues shows up and wants to love a woman regardless. A guy who couldn’t care less what his friends/family thinks and Keeps Them All IN CHECK. I know a woman who has schizophrenia and her husband does not. He still loves and supports her, goes to therapy with her sometimes, and helps her study Dr. Google for the latest medications with the least side effects. She says she’s happy.
Maybe one day I’ll meet someone like that. Medically compromised relationships are hard. It takes one hell of a strong, open-minded, independent man to step up to the plate. I wish these two the best.
