i love it's so easy! i always skip welcome to the jungle, partially because i've heard it a million times, but also because i can't wait to get to it's so easy into nightrain.
definitely one of their most meaningful n well written songs, it makes people look at just how messed up we've become as a species in some deeply disturbing ways.
Axl Rose loved to play between depression and mania. These mood swings are very often present in his songs. He always wanted to find the middle ground but usually only found the extremes. Axl let us take part in this. If you look at the music alone, he is a genius because he combined these extremes so much. Thank you Aileen for your recation!!! I love your deep emotions in this.
My identical twin brother and I used to play this acoustically for shits and giggles,I usually did the whistling!! Good Times.. R.I.P. Bro 11-17-2023!!😪💔
One of Axl's best features as a singer is his vocal range and his ability to easily switch from bass to treble. Songs like Civil War, Estranged, Don't Cry and November Rain use a lot of this ability.
Love to see you do their song Coma sometime. It's a really interesting piece of work, and definitely one of their most experimental tracks. It's long, but it's SO GOOD too, there's so much going on in it ...
Rocket Queen, Don't Cry, Civil War and Estranged are great songs that also show a different side of them. GNR can do it all. Use Your Illusion albums are so varied. They sometimes do full electric version of Patience live. So good. It So Easy is their response to women throwing themselves at the band members. You got it exactly right. Slash is the coolest person that ever lived.
Rocket Queen has a great story behind it I'll share with any reactor No, you dirty bastards, I'm not talking about the girl you hear during the guitar solo, I'm talking about how that groove came to be
Thank you Aileen. I always look forward to your reactions. You are the absolute best reaction channel on You Tube. Axl's voice on the GNR Lies EP was so good!
Aileen, GnR had 4 live tracks, and 4 acoustic tracks on their "GnR Lies" EP. I highly recommend the other three acoustic tracks. But I must warn you: "You're Crazy" and "One in a Million" have some really HARD language. "You're Crazy" was also done on "Appetite for Destruction", but as a full on metal song. Appetite didn't have a single bad track on it, it was the frequency of "F-Bombs" that kept many of the songs off of the radio. The thing is, the language is there for a reason: To show the brutal realities that Axl faced as the band was grinding along for fame and fortune. Some people get offended by the language (especially the use of the N word in "One in a Million")... but they take it out of context. You have to listen to the entire verse to understand WHY it was used. The acoustic tracks on Lies really displayed Axl's vocal range, which no one expected. The two Use Your Illusion albums to the same thing. I remember being in the record store the day UYI I and II dropped, and I bought them both, and loved pretty much everything on them. I also saw them live with Metallica in 1992, which was an absolute BANGER of a show!
Great Reaction .... nicely done tearing it down and building it back. Thanks! BTW The Album "Lies" is mostly all acoustic and some very "interesting" tracks
This comes from a 4 track EP the band made GnR Lies before they got the Appetite deal with Geffen Records. It was then put out along with their other EP Live Like A Su1c1de on one 12" record, which is why so many folk here are mistakenly calling Lies an album.
Some other great GNR music videos: Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, Sweet Child O’Mine, November Rain, Don’t Cry, Estranged, You Could be Mine, and Since I Don’t Have You.
If you want to hear more of that hard rock and solos, you'll want to hear Civil War next. It's also got pretty powerful lyrics to go with Slash's fiery guitar playing.
Such a beautiful and wonderful song!! I love this album "Lies". I would definitely recommend "You're so crazy" from this same album. You are always so radiant and breathtaking Hun. 😍😍😍🌹🌹🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤
Cool video. Nice reaction at the end, as always, Aileen. I wish you could do deep dives into G & R as well as Def Leppard. Both were wicked killer bans with really cool music. Both hit big and ruled the 1980's. I loved it back in the day. Still here for both group of artists, today. Peace and lots of love to you and yours from this old, longhaired, rocker high up in the mountains of East Tennessee. Catch ya on the next. Later, Love.
Used To Love Her from Lies Lies Lies is a really fun song. The whole album is really cool. Although, at least one song will probably offend a lot of people.
"We all know what was going on at that time." Yes, we do. This song is a bit of an exception as far as the zeitgeist angle goes. That is one of the things I like most about it. Yes, Clapton made some bank being honest about it, but the production process... And people want to put it in their nose? Why? I get addicted to addictive things with the greatest of ease, so I don't try the very addictive things I haven't yet. Took me 18 years to quit tobacco. Just recently found out I do not need sugar on the hourly or less, last one left is caffeine. I like that one and it's just bean juice, beans are good for you I hear.
The other thing I like most(I thought there were three, there's two), is how subtle the title is, while being dead pan ham fisted in the lyrics. 'Course it's a great sounding song that was clearly composed with care for musical structure and obviously they actually worked together on composing it real time, or it, like most new music, would be unbearably uncanny. That revolving door Aileen spoke of, it's more than merely tiresome. We humans can say we want lots of things, what we need, is each other, and for much longer than one night. Sure, once can be fun, once. Maybe twice. Maybe it's a vanity/status symbol thing so it's not about the fun, it's about the tally. That's for bragging purposes, has nothing to do withing coming together. But if time is taken, once, patiently, with care, fun can be made out of nothing. I do not recommend it though. Nothing compares to a bond that comes with time, and patience.
This was the song I listened to, to calm myself down after I finished playing a tennis match, my senior year of high school(which coincided with this albums release).
Hi Aileen, another great reaction. 🙌 A band that is waiting your attention, knowing you love Corey Taylor, is Stone Sour. He was already with them when he joined Slipknot and continued to be, until a few years ago, when the band took an indefinite hiatus. Say You'll Haunt Me, Bother and Gone Sovereign are three cracking songs for starters.🤘🖤🤘
Dang! This definitely takes me back to grade 6 at school during recess. I used to just take my Walkman and walk around during recess while rocking out to GNR.
If I recall correctly, this was the first release from GNR LIes after Appetite quite a few years later after a long hiatus. This was before November Rain, never seen this side to them. And then you continue to check out GNR Lies and you get to "Used to Love her"....and.....well. Hey they were truly unique, nobody like them before, during or since.
You should now move through their progression into Use Your Illusion. November Rain and Estranged come to mind. Estranged is a personal favorite... And it reveals what the height of GnR fame looked like.
Saw these guys in '92. Use Your Illusion tour (excellent albums, I'm a bit more partial to 1) in Memphis. It was an amazing show, amazing music. Soundgarden was the opener (Badmotorfinger album). The 90's was gooood for music
Awesome reaction. Please post more GnR reactions. By the way, Slash really does love snakes (animal, not the other thing, lol). Axl's vocal range is very impressive.
Aileen you should check out Guns N’ Roses songs coma and civil war those songs will blow your mind both very epic songs I love how you said in this reaction of Guns N’ Roses song patience you he would rather play with his snake it was so funny but sounded a little dirty but I still laughed but I knew what you meant 😅
I always loved the difference in the way Axl sing s in Mr.Brownstone. Really shows the range his voice has, arguably the greatest rock voice in history. Obviously was huge, but alot of unrealized talent left on the table.
One of the few songs by Gar that I like better in this studio version than live, as well as “Set Child of Mine”, otherwise I think they are better live at this time, because the whole energy and variety just come out better. And they had absolutely perfect background singers. Be sure to check out Tokyo live, so many good songs especially “Rocket Queen” (Axel has a rap interlude) “November Rain” “Nightrain” and more. Absolutely brilliant “Civil War” live in Paris, so good
Good Reaction. Here is some Christmas songs you may not know. Jimmy Buffett: Christmas Island, A Sailor's Christmas and Ho Ho Ho And A Bottle Of Rum and Lynyrd Skynyrd: Mama's Song, Santa Claus Wants Some Lovin' and Santa's Messin' With The Kid. good ones to check out.
Izzy Stradlin (gtr player) wrote this song. Most people think of Axl and Slash when they think of Guns n' Roses but Izzy wrote or co-wrote most of their songs. By the way, Chris Cornell made a cover of this song and a video of it was made shortly after he passed away. I like his cover but personally, I don't like the video. It shows pictures of him, his wife and the 2 kids they had together but they didn't show one single picture of Lily Cornell Silver, his daughter from his 1st marriage, as if she wasn't part of his life or didn't even exist.
The album was called 'G-n-R Lies'... It was the "follow-up" to 'Appetite for Destruction' their debut record selling album. The label was rushing to cash in on their success while the band was dealing with internal turmoil and attempting to create their double albums 'Use Your Illusions l & ll'. At least we know that Duff was courteous enough to bring his tray to the front desk like a good boy while Axl was breaking hotel property. That poor phone!
" It's so easy" is an absolute GNR BANGER!
i love it's so easy! i always skip welcome to the jungle, partially because i've heard it a million times, but also because i can't wait to get to it's so easy into nightrain.
It's the opening song on the show they filmed for MTV at the Ritz in NYC. One of the best concerts filmed. They were on fire that night
awe man, @AileenSenpai should do It's So Easy into Night Train, like a 2 song reaction video
"Civil War" next Please! My all time fave GNR Banger!
"Uh, what we got here is failure to communicate..."
@@lewistasso8866 Cool Hand Luke!
definitely one of their most meaningful n well written songs, it makes people look at just how messed up we've become as a species in some deeply disturbing ways.
nah, we don't need no civil war 😉

GREAT SONG CHOICE TO REACT AILEEN
My identical twin brother and I used to play this acoustically for shits and giggles,I usually did the whistling!! Good Times.. R.I.P. Bro 11-17-2023!!😪💔
Sad, 😢
I tried my hardest, but was unable to reach you.I Soo Wished I could have been better at this!!
So sorry for your loss. i have no words other then sending positive energy to you.
Sometimes I forget just why they were so big then I go back and hear something like this. They were stars for a reason.
GnR are still awesome :)
Chris Cornell has a very emotional cover of this song
Chris Cornell singing Metallica's One while playing on the acoustic guitar U2's One is absolutely amazing
Axl Rose has a voice that can scare you awake and put you to sleep. I recommend the band’s songs “You Could Be Mine” and “Estranged”
Estranged is one of their best songs.
I'd put Coma up there close to Estranged, but yeah. Estranged is the one
Especially Estranged
Civil War is my favorite song but their entire catalog of work is absolutely tremendous.
Axl is my fav. singer of all time, he is great :)
Slash and his ax, the Quintessential bad boy of the 80's
One of Axl's best features as a singer is his vocal range and his ability to easily switch from bass to treble. Songs like Civil War, Estranged, Don't Cry and November Rain use a lot of this ability.
Yes he's definitely playing with his snake 🤣🤣 great reaction as always aileen hope you are having a great day 🙏❤️

it's amazing how badass axl was while doing the davey from the monkeys dance lol.

Rocket Queen... especially the last minute and a half of the song, are the greatest minute and a half of rock and roll ever recorded.
Rocket Queen what you think you are hearing? Yes right on the floor of the recording booth. 😂
Rocket Queen has a great story behind it I'll share with any reactor
No, you dirty bastards, I'm not talking about the girl you hear during the guitar solo, I'm talking about how that groove came to be
Thank you Aileen. I always look forward to your reactions. You are the absolute best reaction channel on You Tube. Axl's voice on the GNR Lies EP was so good!
Couldn’t have asked for a more better timed upload as I’m taking my break at work 😌 Gonna be a good reaction ❤️
This, November rain, and you could be mine are easily my fav songs by Guns excellent choice and vid as always Aileen💯😁
The Axel sway is always real

Merry Christmas beautiful Aileen
Thank you for reacting to this great song by one of the best bands in 80’s
"I'd rather play with my snake", lol! 🐍🤣😂 Definitely one of my all-time most favorite G-n-R songs. 🤘😎
Used to play this with a buddy on guitars. Forgot about it and I realize I needed this reminder. Thank you!

was shopping in WalMart last week, this was playing on the PA..and yes i was singing along.. yep.. im officially old
Gorgeous as always
those were the times 🥰😍🥰
They sure were
Yes.
Thank you for this ray of sunshine from California.
There's also an ACOUSTIC version of "YOU'RE CRAZY" from APPETITE FOR DESTRUCTION" on this album too
Guns N' Roses - Patience ..Love that acoustic guitar.
Some other great GNR music videos: Welcome to the Jungle, Paradise City, Sweet Child O’Mine, November Rain, Don’t Cry, Estranged, You Could be Mine, and Since I Don’t Have You.
Lol "I'd rather play with my snake" Well Played Aileen.
"Well... not THAT snake." 🤣
I remember the fist time I heard this on the radio I didn’t immediately realize or notice it was GNR until the end . Such a 🔥 song and moment for me
GnR was the first sound I truly fell in love with. Great video!
The outro still hits great reaction
It always did.
If you want to hear more of that hard rock and solos, you'll want to hear Civil War next.

One in a Million!
J/K, you probably shouldn't.
Some of the lyrics aside, the song is actually really catchy imo.
How about Used to Love Her?
@@primemover1416 I think you could get away with that one.
Hi Aileen, another great reaction. 🙌
A band that is waiting your attention, knowing you love Corey Taylor, is Stone Sour.

Say You'll Haunt Me, Bother and Gone Sovereign are three cracking songs for starters.🤘🖤🤘

love your videos Aileen
Love Guns N' Roses! 🤘😎
Dang! This definitely takes me back to grade 6 at school during recess. I used to just take my Walkman and walk around during recess while rocking out to GNR.
Aileen. Happy Holidays most Beautiful reaction girl. :) hope you and yours have the best Christmas 🎄🎁
Classic GnR
You must do I Used To Love Her. You will absolutely love it
Three GNR songs you need to react to:
It’s So Easy
My Michelle
You Could Be Mine
I would want to add Rocket Queen in there, but some very good choices.
I love your energy (and facial expressions , particularly on the Paradise City vid 😂). I really should get around to joining Twitch. All the best.
Anything from GnR Live at the Ritz in 1988 would be awesome. Love your vids!
Axl looked pretty damn cool in this video
AMAZING song choice to react to! 😊 Another great one is "Dont cry"
Such a classic!
You ABSOLUTELY MUST watch Chris Cornell do this. It is amazing. Well worthy of a listen.
Check out “you could be mine” or “Mr.Brownstone”.

November Rain and Estranged come to mind.

Fun fact - Axl Rose has a nearly 6 octave range - a larger range than Christina Aguilera and both lower AND higher range than Beyonce.
Awesome reaction. Please post more GnR reactions.
By the way, Slash really does love snakes (animal, not the other thing, lol).
Axl's vocal range is very impressive.

yeah, axl was a versatile vocalist. even as a young kid in the 80's i recognized he was different.

The whole B acoustic side of GNR Lies just rocks.
Good to really good.

Rocket Queen, Double Jive Talking, You Could Be Mine, One in a Million, maybe.
